It seemed appropriate to present the scout with a plaque, so I set out to find a local shop to engrave a brass plate. The prices exceeded anything I was expecting, so I took to the internet and found Halex Awards. Their prices were almost half of any I could find near my home in Northern Virginia. Over the past 13 years, I have ordered a total of 19 brass plates from Halex Awards for use on military, scouting, and personal awards. In every instance, they have provided excellent and prompt service. In 2011, I made a mistake on an order, AND even after confirming it via email follow-up, David replaced the plate at no additional cost . . . he even shipped it (again) for free. Finally, in 2016, I decided to conduct another pricing comparison just to be sure I was paying a reasonable amount. I can attest that Halex Award's pricing is ABSOLUTELY the lowest I've been able to find. Reasonable cost, EXCELLENT service, provided promptly, and an end-product that is simply fantastic . . . what more can one ask?

I brought it in on Monday and Brian took the time to show me exactly what the interlocking initial monogram would look like on his computer, called me on Tuesday to say it was ready! Now the story could end there with great customer service and expediting the turn around quickly but...when I got there at 4:41pm they were closed but in the parking lot was a gentleman who I spoke to and said I guess I was too late as they closed at 4:30pm. He cheerfully asked what it was I was picking up, told me to stay in the car and he would be right back with my ring! Then I paid him and again he went inside, got my change and I thank him for the great customer service! Wow! Only in Rochester do you get this kind of service!
