The store is large and has a good selection of bits and bobs, from pillows to appliances, from ice cube trays and cheese-graters. Considering, they're supposed to be a "discount" chain, I did find some prices to be a little high, if you're lucky you'll find a high-quality item with a good discount/offer though, so it's kind of like a TKMaxx jumble sale but replacing the clothes with home items. The staff seemed friendly and happy to help me find what I was looking for, and the experience at the checkout was smooth. This is a fairly good store, obviously, some deals are better than others, but probably the best selection of home furnishing in the Manchester Arndale, with a fairly presentable store and helpful staff. 4*

The seasonal produce is brilliant, both food items and general home ware. They've got the Christmas stock in at the moment and it's absolutely gorgeous, snow globes and crockery, bath products and food. You name it :) I had to drag myself out of the shop before I spent my entire pay check. I love that you can get top quality, one off items here are a very decent price. The staff are always helpful and the store is clean and well presented. They also have a pretty good reduced to clear range. If you're in to DIY like me you can pick up something that's a little damaged for a ridiculous price and fix it up at home. I've saved so much doing this. I also find this shop to be ideal for gift shopping as they stock such a wide range of products, the packaging tends to be beautiful and I can pick up items here that I wouldn't normally see in other shops.

I've been to Dunelm countless times for all kinds of things from kitchenware (saucepans/frying pans) to bedroom decorations (wallpaper, rugs) and it is pretty much my one stop shop. My visits recently are mainly for coffee related products (new cups, ceramic jugs etc) as I am desperately trying to become a coffee whizz in my spare time, and each time I leave happy and excited to return home and try out my new creamer - yes I am that sad. Price is probably my favourite thing about Dunelm as even though the stuff is high quality, it never seems to break the bank - a useful aspect when you break pots and glasses on a seemingly daily basis like I do. Through clumsiness not anger I might add :)

Yes, this Dunelm Mill has a cafe inside and it looks quite nice! Instead of aisles, the store is set up with the main aisle leading around the whole store... almost like IKEA, but not quite a maze like IKEA. They have loads of bedding, bath, kitchen, and decor items. I was quite impressed with the kitchen area, which I may have spent a lot of time in taking a look at all of the great gadgets and utensils I might need... or just plain want. This store has been great for our needs as far as setting up my boyfriend's new apartment. We even got some great, fluffy and cozy bath robes. Some items are quite inexpensive, but I couldn't find a "clearance" area (yes, I like to scout out the deals). There is a furniture area at the back of the store near the cafe, but it did look quite bare and it didn't look like there was a huge selection of furniture. It looked like the furniture selection was limited to tables and dressers. Overall it provides a lot of selection for great value and saves you from having to go to a number of different stores to decorate and furnish your home.

The company now seem to have gone bankrupt and taken all of their customers money with them. On the plus-side they have clearly been told to remove their website. Yelp were only able to locate one of my reviews (from August) below. I think it's still worth posting in case A1 Mirrors rear their ugly heads again. "Call me cynical, but it seems that for every bad review a customer posts strangely two or three '5 star' posts appear the next day to bring their ratings back up... Avoid this company like the plague. They seem very charming when you first place the order, but we have had to resort to the small claims court to get our money back. They did not deliver for weeks and we had to several letters before we could even get delivery. When they did eventually arrive the specification was wrong, rendering the mirrors useless to us. They have not rectified the fault. The company DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE. They have a third-party answer service (absolutely nothing to do with A1 Mirrors, they just take messages) - the answer service are very friendly, but not much help to us. Once A1 Mirrors have your money they are not at all interested. If you have problems with A1 Mirrors PLEASE, PLEASE REPORT THE COMPANY TO TRADING STANDARDS. If you don't report them they can just carry on their cowboy business, taking money from people and not delivering the goods."

This branch is on Deansgate in Bolton, in the city centre and is fairly close to MarketPlace, the town's main shopping centre. The store is basically a typical Wilko store, albeit it is quite a large size especially compared to other branches such as Harpurhey, and it possibly could stretch to be bigger than my most visited stores in Middleton, Manchester, albeit I can't comment for certain as they are similar. The staff didn't seem really friendly and welcoming, just average and the location could have been better as it could have stood out and been better in the Marketplace Mall, which is nice and has been recently refurbished after putting in a dining quarter. but still the store would be slightly smaller then, yet the location would of course be better so that brings in this situation where Wilko "Can't win" in a way without spending intense amount of money. Overall, there isn't lots of things which makes this store stands out and it sadly is around the average mark, but not enough to warrant anything over two stars I'm sorry to report.

I really liked it when I was a student studying in the UK for a semester because it was cheap and now I like it because sometimes I need something practical that I can't seem to find anywhere else. I might also like a bit of pick 'n' mix :) While shopping in the town centre, I was looking for a place that sold pet items since I had struck out at some of the other shops I had been to. As I was walking to the bus stop, I saw this Wilko and thought I would pop in and see if they have what I needed. This store has two floors... home goods, kitchen items, etc. are on the bottom floor while toiletries, cleaning supplies, and pet items are on the ground floor. I forgot how inexpensive Wilko is and will have to go back for some Christmas lights! At the back of the store I found the pet section. While it is not a Pets At Home, it does the trick if you are in a pinch. They sell food, litter, cleaning supplies, and even toys... for dogs, cats, and other small animals. On my way to the till, I did not spot the pick 'n' mix display (probably for the best) and check out was very quick.
