PENNSYLVANIA
In Pennsylvania the tax on wine and spirits is called the Johnstown Flood tax because it was imposed in 1936 to raise funds to help the city of Johnstown rebuild and recover from a devastating flood that year. The city of Johnstown quickly rebuilt and recovered but the tax still continues. It currently costs the taxpayers of the state over $160,000,000.00 each year.

Inside of a fairly new shopping complex, this store offers a little more than the Wine & Spirits in the Trevose Shopping Center. For one thing, you can find better champagnes and they carry Limoncello.
With these shops being run by the PLCB, it still amazes me how the prices can differ from store to store for the same product!
The hours here are 9:00 to 9:00 Monday thru Saturday. Always closed on Federal Holidays and on Sundays.

One glass of milk can give a person a .02 blood alcohol concentration (BAC) on a Breathalyzer test. That's enough in some states for persons under age 21 to lose their drivers license and be fined.
