Been going to this business for years. Always had a solid experience with him and he just does what I ask him to do.

Call the guy and specify a screw pin bracelet adjustment, quotes me 10 bucks and says he can do that kind for sure. Go in and my watch pin removal tool that I pull out disappears into his hands, he disappears into the back, comes back in demands 20, told him about the 10 he had quoted just a day or two before, and he makes up something about it being a more complicated version of a screw pin watch bracelet, which it isn't. Felt like I was negotiating with almost a strong-arm man, strong vibes from that kind of culture, had to specifically ask for my pin adjustment tool back, almost felt like the links might disappear too, but he did bring them voluntarily. Just super shady vibes tried to keep my tool, doesn't honor his prices when quoted, and doesn't do what you say, does whatever he feels like and will pressure you into it with authoritarian vibes (now my watch is adjusted, but doesn't feel right, but I'm definitely not coming back to that guy after feeling like it would've been a real hassle to walk out after paying him the agreed-upon price). He's probably not dangerous or anything, but if you're not a tough negotiator, who knows how to assert exactly what you want without letting him override you with his "expertise", don't bother visiting. And I can see exactly where the other reviewer was coming from with his Tag bracelet link disappearing. Like I said I had like a one-dollar watch bracelet adjustment tool with me and I had to ask for it back specifically. read more

I have a Tag Heuer Formula watch that is about 5 years old. It is my first real watch. I wanted a link taken out so I found him and went down to his shop last year. He took my watch in the back, hammered away on it, and came back with the watch sized as requested. Not knowing any better, I paid him the cash (he asked for cash) and he kept my link! I left forgetting about the link. Cash payment, no receipt, equals no way to get my link back. As a good business owner, why wouldn't he give me the link as a part of a normal transaction? Take a look on eBay and you'll see links go for $40-$50. Dude is shady. Don't go there. read more

Terrible service. Replaced my watchband with a piece of junk which immediately fell apart. I went to have it replaced and got worse.

So I have visited this twice. The first time was a couple years ago and I went in to have my batteries replaced in two of my watches. The person ( i think it was Oleg the owner) was very helpful and put the batteries in really quick, also at a great price. So i would give it 5 stars. The second time... this place was closed!!! I don't mean temporarily, like the inside is completely empty and appears to have been closed for a while. Is there a way to update yelp to show this business is no longer in operation? it was kind of a waste of time driving there. read more

Just a simple battery change, but so speedy, inexpensive, and decent customer service.

I took a Sieko Diver watch (automatic) to Oleg for repair. Initially he said it would take 4 weeks.... when I actualy got it back it was 6 weeks. For the first few days it ran great. Then it started running VERY fast, gaining +2 hours a day. Took it back to Oleg picked it up and initially it was running fine, then 2-3 days later it was running far to fast. Reurned again, Oleg's response was "all watches occasinoally run fast even new ones...." I got 150.00 of the 175.00 I paid for a overhaul. Now to a new repair shop, that showed me, all the dirt that was still there, the O-ring was old and untouched, the watch was over lubricated as well. Now I have a watch that keeps VERY accurate time, and I got a reciept and a year guarantee (Oleg is only Cash and, no receipts). read more

Great service. This place had me in and out with a fixed watch in about a total of 5 minutes! Wham Bam Thank You......sir :) This guy is an awesome Russian with about 12 kids to support. I know this because of his lovely accent and picture on the wall of the family :) I brought in an old watch that has sentimental value to my boyfriend. His birthday is this Saturday and the watch hasn't worked for a few months now. I would not bring high-end watches to this guy. I brought a new ($800) watch to have the band re-sized and a fresh battery installed. He took the watch to the back room, and banged away. Returned the watch re-sized adequately (that's the 2 stars). No receipt for payment and did not return the extra links, certifying badge until I asked for them. Acted surprised that I wanted them back. He could have sold the links and badge for $$. I recommend taking your good watches to a jeweler where you can see their workbench. I have no assurance that a new battery was installed. read more

I have a modified Invicta Submariner with a Seiko NH-35 movement that I wear as a beater. After a year of wear the watch stopped and I could hear metal rattling. Not the best sign. I took the watch in the owner opened the case back. A screw on the rotor that self winds the watch had come loose. He tightened charged $5.00 and I'm on my way. Second time left as a happy camper. Anywhere else I would have been told the watch needed a over haul and will run $100 and a week in the shop. Try this guy out!! read more

This is the FREAKIN BEST WATCH REPAIR STORE EVER!!!!!!! (Well actually it's the only one I've been to but it's so great!) Fine watch service did 2 awesome things for me in abt 5 minutes. First I showed them my Casio watch that had a worn out clasp and the guy working there just took it, left, and about half a second later came back with it and it was ALL FIXED!! I took in a mechanical, self winding watch that would intermittently stop. Oleg cracked it open and said it was a good movement, and looked nice and that nothing should be wrong. I told him again that it was stopping occasionally for no reason, and he said it's an automatic movement, not as reliable as quartz, and maybe just dust in the movement. He gave it a couple blasts of air, closed it up and said it should be ok. While I'm not a watch repairman, I do know enough to know that a good mechanical movement (and this is a good one) doesn't just stop for no reason. I took it to another watch repairman in town (Robert Bucholtz) who opened it up, looked at it for about 15 seconds and noted that the Incabloc (essentially a shock absorber for automatic watches) had come free from the watch being hit or dropped at some point. He popped it back in place, and I was out the door in less than 10 minutes. I appreciate that Oleg didn't charge me for his time or diagnosis, but can't say I'm impressed. read more

Another client was complimenting the owner on how quickly he services watches. His reply "I do the best I can because of this..." he points to a family photo on the wall. Was referred here after another watch repair shop took the band off while replacing the battery, couldn't get the band back on, and scratched the watch trying to force the band on. Urg. This gent fixed the band in about a minute, and refused payment, just asking me to bring it to him next time. I told him since he wouldn't let me pay, I'd tell everyone about his business. So, as of today, a five star yelp place broke my watch and charged me full price for doing so, and a two star place fixed it for free... Food for thought. read more

Charged $22 but when I mentioned previous reviewers $16 pricing he said it depends on which watch...shop doesn't have any pricing listed so I feel like he charges whatever he wants...not a very friendly guy but does offer a 2 year warranty on the battery...I came in simply to purchase a battery... Normally should cost no more than $5... Don't come here looking to purchase batteries either. My first time I ever had a battery changed on a watch it was $7 with service at this gold pawn shop down on Broadway.... Smh read more

As others have said, this man is not to be trusted. He has a standard trick. He tells you your watch is a "Swiss mechanism" and therefore the battery is $22. This is rubbish. Go elsewhere. I'm not even sure the certificate on his wall is genuine! If it is then he should be ashamed of bringing his trade into disrepute. read more

My previous review was said by Yelp to be "not recommended" because I was so critical of this man's business. Well, here's a follow up. Two days after overpaying to have a battery put in my quality Swiss watch (for which he charged $22) the back fell of my watch as I was wearing it and the battery fell out - I did not notice and lost both. As soon as I went back and pointed out his shoddy work he refunded my money without hesitation because he knew he had no way of replacing the back of my watch. Avoid this business. read more
