I'll take credit for not getting up to look at the placement, or the stencil once it was put on my body - but I don't understand how anyone..especially someone who's been a tattoo artist for over 30 years could even have a reason or excuse on what they were doing here. It looked like a tattoo I would have paid someone to do for practice in their basement. It was so bad that I wanted to wear a long sleeve shirt all summer. I hated it, and had to pay someone else to cover it. I asked him if he'd just cover it with a black diamond so that I could go and get someone else to put some white ink over it. (Anything at this point to get it off my body.) He said he'd add color but didn't want to cover it. I first started with a brief consultation where she asked me what my expectations were. I told her that I was looking to even-out my skin tone and to lighten up some dark spots around the temples of the face. Next, she walked me into the facial room. I was shocked because normally for any skin care service, you disrobe and place a robe on. There was none of that. Given that it was in February 2011 - I had on snow boots, a sweater, winter coat, etc. and I laid on the table with my jeans, shoes, and heavy sweater on which I found odd. In previous skin care services that I have had in the past, they always place a clothe headband or sweatband around your hairline so as to not get any of the product in your hair -- there was none of that here and I left with greasy hair from the products used on my face. The microdermabrasion caused me to have tears running down my eyes (and I have a high pain tolerance). I had to ask for the esthetician to lower the strength of the device, which she did. I would have hoped that looking at my skin prior to the procedure, she would have noticed that I have thin, sensitive skin. Also, during the consultation, I told her at prescriptions I was on - most notably Retin-A - which causes thinning of the skin. The whole procedure lasted less than 20 minutes. I couldn't imagine spending $125 for this, but for a Groupon special for $65 I guess the lack of service is the price you pay for. Needless to say, I will more than likely never come back for another service.
