This dealer knowingly sold me as a disabled man a car with the notorious Hyundai Engine Recall and Rod Knock issues. They sold me this car in December of 2018 before all the settlements , media, and information disclosed and publicized but Tim Mills in BBB interactions admits fully "Yes, they knew these vehicles were experiencing PLENTY of problems and were subject to a pending recall" Now I have an extended warranty and this dealer refuses to do anything other than try to upsell me on engine flushes and a complete engine diagnostic at an exaggerated and profane price. This dealer recommends sooo much fraudulent service which I caught by taking my car to 2 other mechanics and they both said it was not needed. They told me my car needed brake resurfacing despite it not shaking and no sounds or issues I could see.. I took it to both Hurricane Tire and Sunrise Tire and they said NO everything measures PERFECT and is not even close to needing a resurfacing. This dealer needs to be investigated and I am going to go to the State DMV and State AG . What you have done to me is wrong and beyond immoral, it is amorale. I need a car as a disabled man to visit my mother with alzheimers in a care home and go to doctors appointments. I have no means to do so. I hope everybody sleeps well at night and enjoys your time with your families during the holidays and I won't be able to. read more

I had been researching buying a new car and the Santa Fe fit the Bill perfectly. My husband and I drove to St. George from Mesquite Nevada ready to purchase and drive away that day paying cash and what we got was nothing but rude rude rude. In fact, I wish we had negative ratings on this. I was absolutely shocked by the behavior of their salesman tanner! Since they did not have the Santa Fe, I was actually looking for, but I could've been talked into purchasing a different interior than what I saw online instead Tanner refused to let me go for a test drive telling me that he didn't wanna waste his time on someone who wasn't gonna purchase a vehicle. I asked him what made him think I wasn't gonna purchase?. so at that point, my husband said we're out of here. I guess we're going to Las Vegas. I followed him and got to the car and thought I can't believe I was just treated like that as a potential buyer. So I walked back in and was greeted with a sarcastic hello from Tanner and I asked him if he cared to know that I was going to purchase today with Cash. he responded with a " I don't care how you're paying for it lady" . I then asked him if he didn't want to sell a car today and he responded with an astounding. "I don't give a F@#%". I was absolutely shocked how we were treated, and I proceeded to find the exact car that they were offering in Vegas, drove down the next day and purchased it. Las Vegas Hyundai was an incredibly wonderful experience. I would never go to Findlay for anything! Save yourself the grief and drive the extra miles to Las Vegas. read more

Within a couple weeks of moving to St. George, my air conditioner in my 2020 Hyundai Palisade began blowing hot air. I initially took the car to an independent repair shop who wanted to over $600 to diagnose the problem, and a total of over $2000 after diagnosing it, to fix the problem. I said no thank you, and would get another opinion. I also did not pay the $600 as I had a coupon for them to do a free air conditioner check. So, I decide to go to the dealer, and this was the very best move. They fixed the problem for a total of just over $500, got it done in just a few hours, and it works great. I will return again for any other needs I have. By the way, the first place I took the car had nearly all 5-star ratings. I imagine they do good work, but I think they were trying to do more than necessary. I will take the $500 price tag over $2000 any day. read more

Hyundai is criminal for making broken and dangerous cars. This specific dealer is unhelpful, unkind, and unapologetic for these cars. They won't help you out one bit when it comes to navigating warranty or recall work. It's like a secret language/code you have to know or you don't get anywhere. The service manager kept asking me "what do you want me to do personally?" I was flabbergasted. I didn't know what to say. Now that I think about it sir, there is a lot you can do. How about connecting me with your store manager. Maybe he can help figure out how my son is not going to burst into flames? How about being compassionate that we made an appointment and came from across the state to the nearest dealership. That I came from a different state entirely to help get this resolved. No, you told us you had another 9:00 appointment you had to get to. We had a 9:00 appointment, and we were there 20 mins early. That was extremely rude. Yes, you should let the other appointment know you will be with them soon, but not to dispense of us. The final words from the service manager were "it's unlikely that your car will catch fire. The remedy we have available is just to tell you not to park it in an enclosed space like a garage or carport". What I have to say to every Hyundai employee: Just because you work for the worst car company in the world, it doesn't have to affect your humanity. read more

On 2/21/25 I purchased a 2024 Genesis GV70 from this dealership and if reviewing the purchase I would rate the experience a 4, maybe 5, star experience; however, I am reviewing the follow up experience with the service department and customer service. The car had only arrived at the dealership the day before my purchase and the service department was still in the process of prepping the car. When I arrived the only thing remaining to be done I was told was to install a new air filter. I was shown the car in the shop but was told to come back later in the day once the new filter was installed for a test drive. I was called a few hours later and told it was ready. I drove back out, test drove the car and made the purchase. On 3/3/25 I was contacted by my sales rep informing the air filter had not been replaced but If I returned later that week Service Dept would install the new filter. I drove out the next day only to be told that the filter they had was the wrong filter. They would order the correct filter and contact me...within a day or two. I was not contacted. On 3/11/25 I replied to an email from their Customer Svc requesting I post a review of my purchase experience. I replied to the email reguarding the air filter issue. It is now 3/25/25 and I have yet to hear from anyone at Hyundai. The air filter is insignificant; I can take care of that myself. However their saying they would do something and not following up on it is concerning. I would be hesitant to deal with them for service related issues. read more

The service dept is under staffed and at times rude. We had our Santa Fe serviced here for a stuck valve and they changed the oil. But after we brought the car home we noticed an oil leak, the car did NOT have an oil leak when we brought the car in for the original service. It turned out to be a hairline cracked where the drain plug is and they were that last ones to remove and install the drain plug. But they said they could not of possibly of done that, that it had to be who ever changed the oil before they did it (keep in mind that there was no oil leak when we brought the car to them). They were the last ones to remove/install the oil drain plug, but yet they're blaming it on someone else. It cost me $700 to have a new oil pan installed and Findlay would NOT cover it. I will NEVER bring my car into this dealership again and would NEVER buy a car from any Findlay dealership because of my experience with them. read more

We've now have had our 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe for 4 years, buying it new from Findlay Hundai, St. George, Utah. It is a great car, the best we've ever had. Here in the high desert of Southwest Utah, it is especially important to avoid car breakdowns. For me, a key strategy is to take good care of my car with an eye to manufacturer-recommended maintenance. Finding and staying with an expert and honest auto service provider is vital. The great service folks at Findlay Hyundai, St. George, Utah continue to be my choice for service work on my car. Every time I engage with them, I am pleased with the whole service experience. One of Findlay's service advisors, Travis Z, has recently been of special help. Due to a scheduling issue, getting service for a 4-wheel alignment was going to take longer than we had anticipated. On the spot, Travis arranged for us to take a 2022/2023 Hyundai Sonata while our car awaited and received the wheel alignment service. Use of the Sonata saved our day. We had several places we needed to be, including a long-scheduled medical appointment, and were able to deal with all our needs that day. Later we returned to Findlay Hyundai to pick up our car. As bad as it gets. Our prior experience with Hyundai sales & service had been magnificent - we even bought two new Hyundai vehicles from the same lot on the same day. BUT that was another city - not these guys. 'Service' is a misnomer. Each day the service department made a new projection about our vehicle - each day they had a new excuse. If you can't trust what they say (we certainly learned not to) you certainly can't trust what they do. Simple as that. When he finally contacted me again 5 days later, he said the car had been sold to someone else and that he would mail the check back to me. BROKE DOWN in St George Coming home from Vacation. Towed to Findlay Hyundai. We have a Sonata. The service representative Chip was very rude and short with us as soon as we entered the office. Apparently they had several of our make of car towed in. Told us that there was nothing he could do for us. We did not expect immediate service but was talked to like we were abusive to our car. He said it wouldn't even be looked at for 2 to 3 weeks. A very nice man came out of the back room (Dave) gave me a business card with the our case number and customer service # for us to call and find out what our coverage is and also who to call for a rental to get home. Everyone in the show room where we waited was also unfriendly. Dave was the only one who seemed to care. We have always been treated great at our home dealership when in-for sale of our car and maintenance. We were really surprised and disappointed. came home and went to Henderson Hyundai and was treated so well. Towed our car back home to be repaired and back to a helpful dealership. pray they change their attitudes there in Utah. read more

So disappointed with this service department, scheduled repair on door, was quoted price of $250.00, presented coupon when arrived and was told this is not service its more of a warranty thing. Went to pick up car and was given bill for $490.00. WHAT IS THIS!!! The service guy said oh I noticed we did not do service work last time you were in, so we did it now. I had no idea what was being done, I was quoted a price and the cost was doubled. No communication at all. My husband has been researching midsize SUVs and the Santa Fe got great ratings. We stopped by just to take a look and couldn't have been happier with the experience. Keaton was very helpful but not pushy at all. We test drove several models. I felt they were very transparent in their approach. For example, they provide Carfax and Kelly Blue Book reports on their pre-owned vehicles. Needless to say, we ended up buying a Santa Fe and feel like we made a good decision buying it at Findlay. read more

DO NOT TRADE IN with these guys. Went in excited to walk off the lot with a new vehicle today, but their trade-in manager, Jason intentionally miss-represents the vehicle when doing an appraisal. I was expecting the KBB trade-in value to be a bit lower than what I can look up myself, but he came back with $14,000 less than what KBB stated for a dealer trade-in. He showed me his auction sheet and spec sheet to justify his lowball offer and it clearly was missing multiple details, I asked him to update the details based on what the real vehicle has different then what he put in (color, performance engine, premium interior, guest assist) all value upgrades. He refused to correct anything and run the report again and would only honor the trade-in based off the false details. Drove an hour half to Vegas and got the full KB trade-in from the first Hyundai dealer we went to, ended up being a $15K drive for me! If they would like to dispute this as an unfair review I'd be more then happy to show my KBB details and would love to see them do the same to prove an apples to apples comparison. Wow, where do I start, folks just be warned the service department is horrible. The service manager is a self serving do nothing and is probably there only because the dealership could not find anyone with talent or integrity to take the job! In short, made an appointment for an estimate waited two weeks, only to be told they would not look at my car unless I paid $145.00. When I asked the service manager if he thought that his staff should have told me that when I made the appointment, he said "I don't leave that responsibility to the people who schedule the appointments we let the advisors make that decision". one of the problems was a paint defect. He actually told me that he (the dealership) did not want to be involved that would have to be handled by a body shop. After buying three cars over a fifteen year period, one would expect to be treated with decency and respect , but instead, I was cursed at and charged at from an out of control service advisor. It should be noted that I am a geriatric customer in my seventh decade of life. What started everything was that I phoned for a multi tire replacement service call appointment the previous day. I arrived at the service department of the Findlay St. George Hyudai as scheduled. The tires had just arrived ten minutes earlier. The job was to take, per their estimate, one hour to complete the replacement and balancing of 3 tires. More than three hours later, they had not even started the job. No calls nor texts were sent out to me that there would be a long delay. I did have the shuttle driver take me somewhere else for part of the time. They finally finished and I paid for the job at the four hour point, three hours beyond what was promised. No apologies, but only excuses and lies like it's not their responsibility to text or call for delays, but my responsibility to check on status, and that they squeezed me in rather than I having a "real" appointment because the appointment setter failed to enter me into the computer when he took my call for scheduling service. When I called them out by saying that they don't have integrity and I can no longer trust them to keep their word, the service adviser shouted angry profanities and charged me as though he were going to get physical because I complained about poor and slow service. If not for the fact that another employee jumped in the way of the angry service adviser, to stop what appeared to be an imminent physical assault, I would have been attacked by a much younger and taller man in a State that has a criminal enhancement penalty against attackers that assault those over 60 years of age, which I clearly meet. The Police were called but did not cite the service adviser because it was his word(lies) against my word, and the tie breaker(the surveillance camera) was conveniently not working, according to the shop, so the police could not make an objective assessment, otherwise, if the camera were working, he would have been cited for disorderly conduct, and possibly assault. I will never go back to this place, and I am currently looking to buy a Hybrid vehicle, but certainly not from that dealer, or any other Hyundia dealer due to the abusive behavior, the failure to keep appointment times, and the over the top misconduct of the service advisor and the complete lack of empathy from the manager from being victimized from such misconduct. This business has earned no stars in my book, just demerits. The only silver lining in the whole mess was that I did get a good deal on the tires, but it was not worth it as I would have gladly paid full price without all the drama that happened to me.1 read more

We went by Findlay Hyundai at St. George to ask about a quick repair to our car. We'd been on the road for a couple days and noticed part of our splash guard was hanging and dragging on the ground. When there, we spoke to Tim Whaley, who'd also spoken to us over the phone. He received us warmly and introduced us to Dominic. Between that, the gentlemen working in the office kindly gave us recommendations for restaurants while we were in the area. When Dominic got back to us, he told us that the car was in need of repairs. But they only had two of the three pieces in house. They could replace the two pieces if needed. But when we asked his opinion on what we should do, he told us he would recommend just replacing them all at once at a later point, as that would hold the pieces more securely. In house, they could just clip the hanging pieces, which is what we ended up doing. We really appreciate how direct and honest the reps were, Dominic especially. We were a little worried, since we were in the middle of a drive, and how kind the reps were definitely helped calm our concerns. In addition, everyone there was incredibly friendly! Don't waste your money on the extended warranty! They will do anything to get out of covering a repair! Service at the Hyundai dealership has really gone downhill since they opened the Subarau building. An oil change leaves your car dripping oil for a few days. My Sonata needs the dome light switch replaced ($174.00). After being pre-emptive verbally by the warranty group, it was denied when I showed up for my appointment. The Service Manager said he would look into my "complete wrap" warranty to see why it was denied... He never called back! A letter to Hyundai triggered a call from someone who was to call back in two days; that was three weeks ago! I have left messages but no response! No much for Hyundai service!! read more

do not buy a used car at finely hyundai you will reget it!i made the mistake and now im stuck with a lemon!!purchase a 2018 dodge caravan with 90k in miles as soon as one issue popped up all the issues started it was like a cascade effect. now im on the hook for this lemon  13,500 and to keep it on the road i had to put 1500.00 more in repair cost and i just got this damn thing in november.stay far away from buying at finley hyundai!! when i called them everyone i spoke to was super rude and unwilling to help so to add insult to injury my service warranty did not cover anything!very disappointed and i would advise you dont buy there! read more

Every time I bring my vehicle in for service the team at Findlay are careful to check everything! They are courteous and thorough. I even appreciate the fact that they offer a shuttle service, so when the maintenance will take longer they can get me back to work. I love the service here. My 2011 Hyundai Sonata had the engine blow, and they warrantied the engine after the 100k mark, gave me a loaner car for over a month, and the service reps made sure to keep me informed on their progress. I also buy my parts from here because the car is too new for Autozone or Oreilly's to have the correct parts. These guys are great! read more

They wouldn't give me a refund on my diagnosis after they diagnosed it wrong i had to take my car to California to get the problem fixed.

I had a horrible thing happen after a 2 Week Road trip to visit the national parks , my girlfriend and I were leaving Zion national Park when my car began having serious issues. It was a Sunday so I was only able to have a local mechanic look at the car and he said that it was not safe to drive and needed to go to the local dealership first thing in the morning. When I arrived I was helped by Ken and Jeff. They made my very horrible experience so much better! Awesome customer service and they were very honest with me. Jeff kind enough to give us a ride right away to the enterprise to get a rental car. Ken and Jeff went above and beyond and honestly made me feel a lot better ! I have done several road trips over the years and never had something like this happen, so it was really nice to have their assistance ... they made it all better ! Beware. I was told I needed over $700 in repairs. I took my vehicle to another mechanic for a second opinion and was told those repairs were definitely not necessary. The mechanics left grease on my upholstery and steering wheel. It makes me wonder what other bogus charges I have paid in the last five years. I will not be going back......ever! read more

The worst experience. My check engine light started flashing while I was on vacation in Saint George and my car started chugging and losing speed. The auto shop said I needed a new engine and fuel pump. They said Hyundai was having so many problems with their engines that they hadn't heard of any engines not covered under warranty. Findlay also said basically the same thing when I dropped it off. Then a month and a half later their story changed and the guys truck they just looked at had the same engine problem but he "just needed an oil change because jiffy lube didn't put enough oil in". But I had just checked my oil because the check engine light started flashing a few weeks earlier too. Then after they had my car for 2 1/2 months because there were over 50 cars waiting ahead of me I got that exact same story about my car. All they did was change the oil after my car went into limp mode and wasn't drivable! The employee was annoyed when I kept asking if there was an oil leak or a problem because the oil had been full a few weeks earlier and he said no the place I took it to didn't put enough oil in. But they definitely did, I checked it and had the records. But he still claimed the Infiniti dealership didn't put enough oil in when I had my oil changed about 3 months earlier. They also didn't fix the fuel pump because the code was pending but not active anymore after sitting there for 2 1/2 months. So aside from fixing nothing and only changing my oil I had to pay for the rental car the whole 2 1/2 months since nothing was covered under warranty (but people that had the same problem I did had their cars covered under warranty up until mine broke and they realized they were going bankrupt I'm sure). So if you want to pay over a thousand dollars for a rental car while waiting for 2 1/2 months to only get your oil changed when your cars not drivable and just barely due for an oil change then Findlay is the place for you. Next time I'll pay to have my car towed 300 miles (actually I traded it in right away because obviously it has issues and they fixed absolutely nothing). I will never own a Hyundai or go to the Findlay dealership again. read more

I took my car in sometime last fall/early winter. The AC had stopped working. They told me that there was hole in the line and it would cost $600.00. Since I wasn't going to need it for a few months, I waited. I just took it to another service station this morning and they said that there are NO leaks. They serviced it for $200.00 -- working fine. I don't like being lied to. If you don't see a hole -- don't tell me that there is one. read more

I bought the new Sonota nine months ago. Best buying experience ever but now have a blown engine. It left me stranded with no warning at all. Was a little over quart low on oil and no oil light came on but the engine failed. Now it's $10,600 to replace an engine on a brand new car and they made no effort to try to warranty it. In fact they said there was no oil on the dipstick which is a complete lie because I had a tow truck company come tow me and they topped the oil off and I have the receipt to prove it. My brother has a Palisade and gets the oil changed regularly. Just for fun we checked his oil and it was over a quart low and not registering on the dipstick and no oil light was on. Not sure why these crap cars burn so much oil and then don't warn you when your low. I've had several Honda's and a Toyota and they alway warn you when your low. So does my GMC. I would suggest you stay away from Hyundai and go with Honda or Toyota or anything else. Especially because the warranty that they're known for doesn't cover their crappy cars. I was a very satisfied Hyundai Owner but the lack of customer service in your service department to get a simple oil change was ridiculous. To tell me that 5 cars are in front of me so they can't get to me today is ridiculous when I only showed up at 10:30. I asked to make an appointment because I come in from working out of town and even despite the electronic emals requesting I make appointments with the service department , I am told in a harsh tone " Oh no we wont take your appointment for just an oil change, come when we open" ... So nobody with half a brain can work with a customer that is stuck working out of town in Vegas during the week?!?!? Jim wouldnt let this poor customer service fly...I explained I worked out of town and am only in town once a week usually on Saturdays. I guess a customer with a good job , and good credit score doesnt interest a salesman?? The sales process starts and ends with the service department and today the sales process and my future ownership of Hyundai products ENDED! This experience follows a bad experience the month before that I wrote off . I called in to get a quote on some tires for and the service representative was adamant he couldnt get me a quote without a VIN number because the tires for their best selling car, which they have like 20 on the lot, and work on all day he was not familiar with??? I am sorry that a 2013 Elantra is so foreign and alien to you in the service department , considering how well they sold I KNOW you knew what tire they have on them and really if you didnt know I would think you could find out pretty easily... but hey whatever fine I will play your game , So I hung up go outside to get the VIN Number and Tire Size call back and he picks up... then he HANGS UP ON ME!?!??! Are you serious??? So basicly you dont want to do math to give me a quote and you are working on cars all day?? I don't know if I want you to work on my car if apparently the math of giving someone a basic quote is that challenging. So I called and called and called finally I got Chad on the phone and he quickly and easily gave me a quote without any trouble. Love the service dept.. Very informative and honest... Had a nail in my tire, the original tires are on the car from 58,000 miles, and was suggested for 2new tires up front... Fast service... I would like to tell people , who are concerns Bout finding and selecting a new or used car, but service dept, is so important. Of course th baked goodies I bring every now and then helps too..
