Findlay Customs was tasked to replace my cloth seats with Katzkin leather seats by Towbin Dodge. Every installer I had install the seats have always given me back the cloth seat cover. This time there was no seat covers given back to me. When I called Findlay Customs, Mike had a smug tone and told me I should've told them I wanted to keep them because they cut they off and trash them. He also stated they would've charged me money because it takes time to take them off. Really, you have to take them off to put the new ones on! Who destroys a customers property!?!? I recently completed my purchase of my dream truck 2019 Toyota Tacoma 4 by 4 Long Bed Off Road in Cavalry Blue. The entire team worked through a variety challenging obstacles that I placed in front of them, with every different request that I had as it relates to the custom work. I took my truck to Findlay Customs to have AMP power steps installed. I was extremely disappointed with the quality of installation. When I looked at how they had wired it into my 2018 Tundra, nothing was secure; wires were running directly across the engine compartment. The LED lights were installed right over the top of the dirty rocker panels, and the lights fell off within 24 hours. When I confronted Findlay Customs and took the truck back to show them, they admitted that the install was a hack. They weren't willing to refund any of my installation and asked me to drop the truck off so that they could hack away at it a second time. There was no way I was going to agree to that! It's clear they have no quality or inspection control on their installs; this is a terrible way to do business. I was even told that if I didn't leave a bad review I would be offered store credit. I wish I could leave a zero for this company but unfortunately it won't let me. Back in November my parents had some work done and electronics installed and it almost immediately failed. When I called they said they couldn't get me in for a few weeks. That was aggravating to say the least. So when I finally brought my parents vehicle in a weeks ago to have their shotty work redone the Service manager Mr. Smith was the rudest person I've ever delt with. He wouldn't even get up to come look at my issues. He said his mechanic would figure it out. So rude and very lazy. He didn't know how to even look up my parents history and told me I needed my receipt before he'd even address my issues. I ended up walking out in frustration and took my vehicle to a near by custom shop where they were more than happy to fix it for free. Took them about 1.5 hours. I took a $400,000 Ferrari 458 Speciale to Findlay Customs because I thought that by paying a company top dollar meant I would get top quality work. Instead, what I received was a bubbling paint job, damaged parts, forgotten installation pieces, and overspray on parts that are not supposed to have paint on them. My Ferrari came in for brake caliper painting, an exhaust, and a radar system. Upon drop off, the service advisor and I spent a lot of time going over various details. I also gave a comprehensive hardcopy checklist complete with pictures. This is what resulted: - Existing $2500 radar system destroyed during the uninstall - Holes drilled into the painted bumper despite assurances they would not be - Forgot to install an exhaust part that was verbally committed. Without this part, the car will throw check engine errors - Accidentally and irreversibly painted parts that were not supposed to be painted - The caliper paint job came out peeling, cracking, and fading When I raised these issues to Findlay Customs, I was met with complete denial that I discussed this with them prior to the install. They said I never provided a hardcopy or the necessary parts. They also insisted that the paint job is top quality despite the obvious defects shown in the photos, which I've attached for you to view. As an enthusiastic modder of cars, I on average visit an auto shop every 5-6 weeks for work. From the 15+ or so auto shops I've done business with in the past couple of years, Findlay Customs is the first and only time I've felt like writing a negative review. So what recourse did Findlay Customs offer for all this? They asked I take my car from across town to get the paint inspected because the pictures "don't show anything". Then if they approve, all they will do is touch up the paint, which won't even fix the bubbling and cracking. They also offered to install the forgotten exhaust part. The big catch is that if all this work takes more than a single hour of labor, they will charge me again. Does this sound like a genuine ownership of their mistakes or a scheme to trick me into acquiring my car again to make more money? I already paid them $15,000 (yes, $15K). They even charged an extra $400 when I picked up the car. All in all, I'm sending my car to another shop to have all this fixed. I would rather pay thousands of dollars to someone who will do it right than have Findlay Customs touch the car again. If this was the amount of the care they showed towards such a rare and expensive vehicle, I don't want to imagine how other cars are treated. TL;DR: I brought a $400K Ferrari for a $15K job. Ended up with false assurances, defective work, and unexpected damage. Only recourse offered is max 1 hour free labor to fix the issues. read more

Wanted to give honest input as last year I took my brand new 2020 BMW M4 to get the windows tinted after being referred by Mercedes of Henderson as we were told they do all of their window tinting. I picked my car up after leaving it there an entire Saturday just to find multiple imperfections in the tint as it looked like an amateur did it and was not done professionally, in my opinion. They stated that I can bring the car back the following weekend to have them redo the tint and I took it back the very next Saturday, left it the entire day once again. When I picked the car up, still was not done correctly, I pointed this out a second time and they told me bring it back now a 3rd time to correct what they could not make right the first two times. I went back the 3rd Saturday, left the car again and when I went to pick it up the rear passenger window still had bubbles in it, the glare strip at the top of the front windshield has a scratch in the tint. At this point I was not about to go back a 4th time because if they couldn't get it right the first three times they were not getting it right the 4th. I honestly don't know why I didn't demand a full refund right then and there and am so sorry I ever took my car here. Now I have to mention I used to own an Auto Detailing business and I personally tinted windows for a long time so most people may not have said anything and just overlooked these imperfections. This place is supposed to be a professional custom shop and I know they would not send a car back to Mercedes looking that way. So what this tells me is I am just an average customer coming in and regardless that I am trusting them with a $100,000 car it doesn't mater to them. When I used to tint windows, if a window that I tinted ever looked like what they left my car looking like, I would have ripped the film off as many times as it took before giving the car back to a customer. My saga gets better as my wife just purchased a brand new 2021 SQ5 and even though I had 3 bad experiences last year, she decided to give them the benefit of the doubt being that it was a year later and took her car there to get all the windows tinted. We dropped her car off last Friday, left it there the entire day and when we go to pick up her car I was able to tell right away there were various imperfections. They told her to bring it back the following Friday and they will fix it. She takes it back a second time, spends another entire Friday without a car and brings it home as I was unable to go with her to pick it up and as soon as I look at it you can clearly see that both driver and passenger windows have imperfections in them not in the exact same place but still it should be perfect the second time around. Her windshield has imperfections as well but giving it a couple days to see if they will dry out, my guess is they will not. Bottom line is if you want to spend a lot of money just to have to take your car back multiple times before they can get it right and might not ever get it right, take your car here. I am giving you mine and my wife's experience with this place and I will make sure to let everyone I know not to take their vehicles here under any circumstances. I own two businesses and would not be in business if I pulled this kind of stuff. read more

Just recently got my 2020 Toyota Tacoma Trd Sports from Findlay toyota next door. Decided I want to do an upgrade on my vechile, tried to check on some places and most of them could not get the wheels and look that I want. Then I came across Findlay Customs to check prices and my options. spoke to EDDIE. Told him what I wanted on yelp gave me a rough estimate, and asked me to drop by saying "come on by, we can do anything for for you" so basically drop by and told him what I want, he gave me a few option then boom!.
