I had a really great experience here (the Janaf location). And I interacted with a lot more staff than maybe a normal person would. I emailed, phoned, and went to the shop twice throughout my whole piercing process from booking to replacement post after my swelling went down. I got a fast response from my email and was treated kindly at every interaction. I got a side labret piercing, and I'm a good bit older than most of their clientele, so I called to make an appointment (I live far away) and to request Kimberly be my piercer, since she's the master piercer and 20-year-old skin is not the same as 50-year-old skin. I was REALLY nervous at my piercing appt, so I forgot all the questions I wanted to ask. But at my 8 weeks post-piercing, I went back to the shop to get a shorter post put in, and Laycie helped me, and she was the absolute sweetest. If you've been pierced there, they'll put in your jewelry for free, so I only had to pay 20 bucks for the new, shorter post. Despite the fact that this was not exactly a big money-making appointment for Laycie, she patiently and thoroughly answered all my questions that I had forgotten to ask before. I made an appointment for my daughter to get her ears pierced because this is one of the few locations I've come across that offer children's piercings with a needle. We show up a few minutes before the appointment so I can do paperwork, give them the copies, etc. We do all that and it's super simple. Kids have a requirement for getting pierced based on age. I was really annoyed and frustrated because he ended up taking two women at my daughter's appointed time back to be pierced. They couldn't make up what they wanted pierced and were loud and obnoxious. Not only that, but my daughter had to listen to women screaming and cussing behind the closed door piercing area. They saw my small daughter was here, and she was just getting her ears pierced unlike the woman who was taken before who got her genitals pierced. The piercer Jordan was apologetic about the language, and he seemed to have a great tolerance for kids. I honestly came here because of the good reviews mentioning him, but I wonder would I have had a better experience at the other location. I wonder if an appointment was even necessary or if I could have came earlier in the day. In any case, the only thing I was really impressed with was the guy who checked us in, let my daughter patiently pick out what color jewelry she wanted, and put the marks on her ears. We loved our experience at Finders Keepers! My daughter wanted her ears pierced for her 8th birthday, but we have a family history of ear trouble so I didn't want to just go to the mall. Tattoo studios all had a higher age limit or needed more forms of ID than we had. This place was clean and hygienic. Both ladies at the counter were very friendly. Jamie, who did the piercing, was so great with my daughter. She could tell she was a little nervous but made her laugh and really put her at ease. My only complaint is that I would have liked some more options in the starter jewelry, but I also understand that's probably not the bulk of their business and may not be lucrative enough for them to stock. I've been here a few times, over the years, but this is my first time leaving a review (about time). I took my 2 year old daughter here yesterday to get her ears pierced, and Jordan did amazing with her. He was very soft-spoken and gave her a calm environment, which really helped keep her from being anxious during her piercing. He even saw her dad trying to take pictures from across the shop and had him come into the piercing room so he could get better pictures of this milestone. From my experience, even as he was piercing my own ears and tongue, Jordan and the rest of the staff have always been professional, which is why I keep coming back. There were a lot of choices for child earrings, as well as other body jewelry, and they were all very nicely displayed at the counter. The whole facility was clean, and they took great precautions, given the state of public health, and overall it was just a good experience. Went back today to get my helix pierced for my birthday with my friend. We went in and were greeted by Dak. He was super friendly and wasn't pushy about what kind of jewelry to put in my helix. He let's people figure out what they want between the titanium and 14k gold they have. Three other clients came in while he was getting started with us and he helped them before taking us in the back. He explained very well how he was going to do things and I appreciate that he didn't do a countdown because I have an issue with needles and low pain tolerance. He also put a dot on my ear to see where it would go after we talked about where I wanted it placed so that it was practical. The actual needle going in hurt, but he was super nice about my reaction and was very calming. My friend was able to be the hand I squeezed for dear life. Once the needle was in, he let me know he was putting in the jewelry and there was some pain associated with that, but not too much. He also showed me the metal clamps so that I still knew what was going on. My friend was a much quicker process, but still just as seamless. I would recommend Dak on any day of the week because he was nothing but nice with my anxiety even though this isn't my first piercing. read more

Living in a new city it's hard to find places to trust. I'm so glad I found them! Getting a piercing can be nerve wrecking, so it's important to have people to make it easy going. Everyone was so nice and knowledgeable. The place was very clean! Got my piercings done Feb 15th 2021 and it all went great! The whole process was very comfortable, quick and painless! About a year later I lost one of my rings while sleeping, I rushed in to buy new jewelry and again great customer service! They also put it back in because for some reason my body tried closing up the hole! This was also a quick process though not so painless. So great full they were able to help me out again! I did have a negative reaction to the Big Betty's after piercing cream, not sure if it's because I have very sensitive skin but I didn't do well with it two separate occasions. Came in today with a friend for to get a birthday helix piercing done, and Dak was on point in greeting and explaining everything to us. He was patient and friendly with her understanding her anxiety over needles, and was super careful and communicative with her. On top of his personality and presence, the shop was super clean and well organized including in the actual piercing rooms themselves. I got in the chair after hers was done, and he looked at my helix to examine where it had been pierced before to see if the last piercing was still possibly open. The taper showed him it was still there, so he inserted the hoop and closed it instead of having to do the full piercing. I'm really impressed with how professional he was and the absolute honesty instead of just taking the money to do something that wasn't needed. I got my nostril pierced by Jasper on 4/23 and it is now 5/4 and my healing is going great!! I use h2ocean to clean it 2x a day with clean hands. Only had a tiny bit of blood the first time I cleaned it. I'm so ecstatic at how it looks and how it's healing. I will definitely be back to get my other nostril done! We brought our 10 month old here to have her ears pierced and cannot say enough good things about the experience we had. All of the employees there were beyond knowledgeable and patient, especially when dealing with about 10-12 people in line while we were there. They made us feel comfortable and at ease before, during, and after the piercing. Two guys did the piercing at the same time, so it was really quick for the baby (and us!). I was impressed with them immediately upon arrival in hearing their conversations with other customers and it continues to the current moment as my daughters ears look not only perfect, but there isn't even a pinch of red or swollen. Today was a big day for my daughter! She's five and recently decided she was ready to have her ears pierced, so after discussing the process with her for a week and making sure she would be responsible with her new piercing we looked into our options locally. She said she would be brave but we were expecting a few tears if my a total change of mind ( ) , however she was totally fine and didn't cry or wince at all. I came to this location to get my septum piercing and snake eyes. The first experience I had was 9.5/10 only due to the fact that I was drooling a lot on my snake eye piercing and got it all over my shirt but could have been avoided if my piercer (Kimberly) put a napkin on my shirt. Other then that my experience was great they where all kind and knowledgeable about the questions I asked. Then the next day I notice while I was driving home from work my septum ball fell from my nose. So I decided to call the store to see if I will have it replaced the ball by it self because that was the only thing I needed not a whole new horseshoe for my nose. I explained this the receptionist who told me I come back and get the ball replaced. So I wind up going there they where very busy and only had one piercer in the middle of the day. I wind up waiting 20 to 30 minutes to get what I thought would be the ball replacement. While waiting on my turn me being nosey I hear Kimberly talking to a women in front of me who's piercing it either rejected it wasn't the right one and she came to get a replacement. Kimberly had asked her when did you get it done she said April ! She winds up replacing the piercing for zero cost even though the lady announced to the whole store that she paid 170 for the piercing that got rejected. So after that Kimberly tells me that do not have balls to replace that I would have to get a whole new piercing which I was fine with what I was not fine was the fact she was trying to charge me for the jewelry when I literally had came the day before and felt like that was unfair considering this women who came in April gets 170 dollar piercing replaced for free when we are in August ! I explained to Kimberly that it's not fair for me to be paying for jewelry when I did all my after care properly. It's not my fault that you have faulty jewelry and don't how to make something tight enough. Then she tells me there's a sign somewhere in the store there is a sign that says we are not responsible for lost jewelry. I told her show me the sign and I will pay which she did not and told me have a good day. I will not be coming to this location again because of that experience. They just a lost what could have been a loyal customer! It's sad that this establishment would rather have my 65 dollars for the replacement then the hundreds of dollars I would have been spending.
