We filed for bankruptcy back in 2004, we did everything right according to their terms,…read moreunfortunately we had to move from Red Deer Ab, to Calgary Ab so that we could find work. We were behind by 3 months, the move and first and last months rent plus getting the moving truck and our stuff out of storage set us back a couple of thousand dollars. We both found jobs right away and we sent them our paperwork and payments in June of 2005. They never called to confirm anything...we finally called them, only to find out they received nothing. Later we found out that they Indeed received the payments but not the paperwork?? How? It was all sent together in one yellow envelope!! So, either they lied or someone in Edmonton lost the paperwork and are blaming us for it. We paid them twice more afterwards to get our discharge papers but alas nothing came of it. Present day...our paperwork is still in archive and we need to pay $5000.00 each to get it out of archives and for them to go to court for our discharge?? How is this fair to us, now we are trying to buy a house and cannot go forward until this matter is resolved!! What a screw up on their part and we are left holding the bag of nothingness to our future!! Gawd help us all!!! Terrible experience.

Every time I went in to drop off docs (monthly statements), Joanne would ask in a terse unfriendly voice, "do you have any unnecessary documents in there?" She would refer to the envelope. My husband had the exact same issue. Neither of us had the habit of dropping off unnecessary documents. Head office is in Edmonton and the lady who does the taxes isn't a Chartered Accountant, which isn't great if you had owned a business like we did. The last time my husband Peter was in the office, Joanne gave some docs for me which weren't in an envelope. When I complained to Head Office, Joanne told Joyce, (Manager) the docs had been put in an envelope. Because of FOIPP AND PIPPEDA, (privacy laws) the laws should apply in this instance. Joanne is one of the most unfriendliest individuals and we have had nothing but regrets to have dealt with this company. The fact that Edmonton completed our taxes didn't sit well with me and I wished to be made aware of this from the beginning. Sherry is a very nice lady who handles some of the work but Joanne takes away from all the positivity with her bad attitude.
