Taking my previous experience with H&R block into consideration, where the "Tax Master" miscalculated my T4 and ultimately caused me to owe the government MORE money than they legally steal from us on a regular basis, I was skeptical about taking my 2019 forms there again. I switched locations and allowed myself to give them another opportunity and I was not disappointed. Joyce Omene, from the Sage Hill H&R block, was incredible! She was detailed, explained my tax return at length and managed to clean up what her colleague had made a mess of the year prior. I would HIGHLY recommend visiting this location and asking for Mrs. Omene to sort out your taxes and make you feel welcome with her warm smile and infectious personality! I would not recommend going to h&r block. First off we went for our scheduled appointment which I booked online called a few days before to confirm and all was good. Went to my appointment and I was not booked in. So I booked for the next day, as soon as we got in she commented on how serious we we're, and to be honest we were ticked off not at her but at the situation, we were by no means being rude to anyone, we just wanted to get our taxes done. The person was helping us didn't have a clue how to our taxes. I run a small business out of my home and needed to add on business expenses she had to idea how to do this even though I basically did all of the work for her. All she needed to do was input my info, she got up more then half a dozen times to ask for help from other people. My husband forgot a paper and was quickly looking online to get her the correct info, and she commented on how disorganized he was which was extremely unprofessional. Next we needed to deduct something for my husbands personal spending for work, she did not no how to do this either and argued with us to the point I looked it up online on the government of canada website to show her we were right and when she saw we were right she said i will go ask my coworkers, guess whst it turns out we were right! We spent nearly 2 hours and literally nothing was completed she asked us to come back at a later date she said she would book us an appointment which she never did and I'm glad because I wouldn't be going back there regardless. Highly disappointed in the experience, I will never go back there! I've always done my taxes myself, I just went there because I had a few questions about my business expenses, she didn't have any clue so it was a complete waste of my time to go there, I knew more about doing taxes then the "professional" how ridicilous! read more
