Do you notice that the last 5 star they received was 2 years ago? It's because right about this time is when Tax man Fred apparently lost the partner that was keeping it all together. In short, the end of 2020 and all of 2021 as well as 2022 were total fiascos. We received penalty's and fines because of inaccurate tax bills being given to us to pay. This included incorrect percentage as well as missing complete months. After meeting with Fred in early 2021 to discuss these issues and after not resolve any of these issues it all came to a head at the beginning of 2023. The fee for his tax service for our 3 company's including our personal went up over 70%. Of course there wasn't a discount for his company's mistake. He is an arrogant know it all that falls very short from his self perceived greatness. The smug look on his face even when his company has cost us thousands was infurriating. After all of this and paying for 2022 bookkeeping to financial accounting services we weren't able to get the files. We had to pay our new CPA to do the entire year's books and pay again. read more

I own a small business and needed to find accounting services to do scorp taxes, shareholder taxes, payroll, and answer a bunch of random and ppp related questions. We were referred to Nicole who is an excellent cpa. If you have any questions about the ppp loan and forgiveness, she has the answers and even helps people file for forgiveness. She's familiar with the personal care industry which is really helpful to us salon owners. Every time I call or email anyone in the office there, I get an immediate and helpful response. Emilie, an executive assistant, is wonderful - competent, friendly, and on top of things. The same goes for Brittany who does our payroll. Wow! Just got my return done and the cost he charged nearly knocked me over. Was charged at minimum three times more for a tax return than any other CPA in the area would charge me. I went there on the recommendation of a realtor that I've worked with in the past and BOY, what a mistake. I will never ever use this company again. EVER. 2/1/17: Interesting that the business owner replied to this review after a full year. He claims the tax return was "complicated." Yet it involved only two W-2's! If that is complicated, then I do not know what to say. The "complicated" tax return will actually come this year. Thankfully, I hired a professional accountant who I am very happy with. And they are not charging me three times the going rate like this office did for a SIMPLE tax return. read more

The IRS sent me a letter stating a mismatch in information. I forwarded the letter to Financial Accounting Services and asked them to look into it. Vicky responded early the next day. She contacted the IRS and spoke with an agent on our behalf. The IRS reversed their actions and corrected their files. The whole situation was handled in less than three business days. Very professional and great office I just wasn't pleased with the service I received. I found 2 different errors on my tax return and although they fixed them they were major mistakes that shouldn't have happened. Example : my spouses state of residency was incorrect. They did my taxes and charged me what was quoted. They knew I had been overcharged in the past and they also overcharged me come to find out. Then they sent an e-mail telling me that they thought I was being 'too difficult' and that they did not want to do my taxes any longer. Fred is very nice. However, I am in huge mess after being told to incorporate. As a sole proprietor I was not able to make this transition without a ton of headaches. Fred did not prepare me for what this entails. In addition Chrystal referred me to a bookkeeper who is totally incompetent. After paying her a few thousand dollars I had to have my books redone. I am now spending a thousand dollars to undo this incorporation because after the accounting and state fees it saved me nothing. They are too busy to provide good service. read more

I did sit down and talk with Fred. He is a nice guy, but unfortunately he wasn't really interested in talking about the facts of the case. He tried to convince me that my expectations were too high and "misguided" as he says. Dave Ramsey constantly describes his ELPs as offering "world class" service. All I wanted was to have a financial company prepare my taxes in an honest and professional way. I was paying for "world class" service and expectations but what I received was second rate. Most professional companies when presented with the facts as we presented them would apologize for the mistake, reimburse you for the service and work to respectfully earn your business again.
