Don Copeland is fantastic! If I were to give myself a review in regard to being an easy customer? LOL, I'd probably only get 2 stars. That's where Don Copeland comes in. I'm never prepared for taxes and almost always file for an extension. Don's protocol is to do that automatically, if it appears you are not bringing in your tax info before the due date. Phew! Such a relief. As far as value for the work done? I'm totally satisfied with the money I pay for Don's services. He's answered a zillion questions and advised me in other financial concerns as well. After 10 years of using this firm, and had felt that this firm had gotten too busy to truly have my interests in mind, I finally left. The people were nice, but my decision was based upon what was best for me. At one time, the service was one on one. This year, they couldn't seem to recall conversations we had. CPA even claimed they never had any such conversation. If your tax needs are simple, this may be the firm for you. As for me? I had been using this firm for some years for my personal and small business taxes. When dealing with my 2020 taxes, I discovered I had been given some bad advice in 2019. I needed a small bit of information to be able to finish and file for 2020. I have been in the business world for decades and never encountered a person so rude and unprofessional as Cheryl Miranda. This was my experience. I received my 2019 tax forms in the mail in March of 2021 by this firm with no explanation as to why. I was confused that I was receiving my tax forms a year later. I immediately called up, I was told my tax forms were found in a box and never filed and needed to be sent in. I was like "WHAT?!!" What do you mean they were never filed. They said we tried to contact you, I said " How did you try and contact me, phone, email, letter?" I never received anything! They acted very nonchalant like it was no big deal and just sign them and mail them to IRS. (They sure notified me to let me know there prices have gone up! ). This firm does not care about there clients at all! They are a big firm and if you slip through the cracks no one cares! As a result, I never received any stimulus money through the pandemic. My business was shut down for 9 months and I desperately could of used it to help through a tough situation. I still have not received any stimulus and my 2020 tax refund is being delayed because of there negligence! read more

Had my taxes done by Betty in April. She really helped us out and gave us valuable advise on our financial situation. I misplaced my taxes and had to get fasts done for my child so I called the office. Receptionist was happy and efficient. This firm over the years for some reason can NOT remain at one Location. For what-ever reason they continue to MOVE their office about every three-four years... This clearly and undoubtedly defers the customers filing process. We've endured the experience! We made extended reasonable efforts over the years to stay-loyal to the Copeland & Benner CPA'S, and however, the staff, (Darlene), was challenging, kind, soft spoken, short, appeared-always irradiated, seem too busy upon reaching the firm, and always for some unknown reason would respond with unclear misleading promise information. The CPA presents a strong voice of expertise when she finally returns a courtesy phone-call. We come to learn that after all the years of customer loyalty, she does not actually prepare the taxes as pledged, she directs the customer tax-work to her part-time employee, (Darlene), clearly with sub-par industry experience. This was frustrating to learn for lack of better words. Would we recommend this firm? Let a simple assessment grant the results. Cheers - read more
