This is a long overdue review. We moved to CA from out of state during the pandemic, and while I had been preparing our own taxes for businesses and personal, I had some concern with the different state tax laws. So after some research, I contacted Karyn at KV Consulting and have now been using this office ever since. I've been very impressed with with Karyn and her staff - big shoutout to Kristi and Sara who keep everything organized and moving along with the portal, and are so friendly and responsive to questions/problems. Turnaround with tax returns is quick and smooth, and fees are reasonable. In addition, being able to complete all our taxes electronically is everything - hooray for no schlepping paperwork to an office! We've been so happy with this office that I can't see ever going back to doing taxes myself! read more

A courtesy call back is all it takes. I called this business a few times and left a voicemail. Unfortunately, didn't receive any response. Even if you are fully booked and can't accept new customers, please let us know. I hope others have more luck getting through to this business and receiving the service they need. read more

Practical advice and efficient service. Helps that she's super kind, too. Looking forward to working with KV for the long term.

Friendly, knowledgable, quick, no,problems. Fair pricing, good location. Very easy to contact, very helpful at all times.

I'm prior military and recently completed my contract and moved back overseas as a civilian working back on a military base. I have done my taxes on my own using TurboTax for over 10 years and this year, I was told to pay $1800!!! My friend told me about KV Consulting and I inquired. Despite the time difference, the quality and timeliness of the service I received in helping file my taxes was amazing and more than what I expected. Not only that, they were able to help me get my taxes straightened out to where I am no longer owing. My predicament was a bit different, so having that expertise from KV Consulting was worth every penny! read more

I am looking for a good CPA firm to prepare and file my somewhat simple taxes. This one seemed to have very good reviews. However my attempts to speak directly to the business owner both in person or by telephone have been quickly cut off. Various office workers for some reason run interference for Karyn the owner. I would not do business with a company where the owner does not want to talk to posdible clients. read more

Karyn is awesome. She just knows what she is doing with your tax returns. Hubs and I have been coming here for the past 4 years. She's very informed of all the new tax laws each tax season and has extremely good prices for the services that you get. She's also super friendly and and tries to help you out. She's also really quick to respond to emails and gets appointments in rather quick around this time. She sends us a "tax preparation" packet of everything that we will need for our appointment and it just makes my life SOOOO much easier. We will never use a "H & R" type of place again. Being a service member, I have zero practical knowledge of the intricacies of taxes or finances. KV consulting left an excellent impression on me from the word "go". Karyn and her staff were both respectful and extremely knowledgeable. She explained to me her business model of not being the cheapest, but being the most thorough. I left feeling certain I had placed my faith in someone I not only liked, but trusted. Definitely recommend them as I was very satisfied with my experience! read more

Karyn has been my tax person since I moved to California in 1987. She has seen our family thru so many financial challenges over the years, too many to count. She is so personable, professional and above all HONEST!! Her advice is solid, the knowledge is deep, and she genuinely cares for her clients. She fees are very reasonable for the level of service you receive. She takes the time to explain things to you in language you will understand. She is ALWAYS on time and very efficient. She is up to date on every wrinkle you can throw at her, both federal and state. She is also an excellent financial planner. My son recently started a business and Karyn was very instrumental in his early success by putting him into a tax plan to keep him out of the pitfalls of being self employed. Honestly, I sleep better knowing I have such a great asset protecting our financial interests. My grandfather told me when I was a little boy..."when you grow up get an honest & good mechanic, doctor, and financial advisor..because they are the ones that can screw you up bad before you even know it". He was right! 28 years later, I still have the best person in SoCal. SHE IS THE BEST...if you want great service, great advice, at a great rate...then look no further. It will be the best financial decision you ever make again, business or personal. read more

My family continues to use Karyn as our tax preparer. It's been 20+ years and we wouldn't dream of using anyone else! Her office is beautiful (let's be honest, working on tax returns stinks so you may as well enjoy your surroundings). Over the years Karyn has streamlined her systems to allow sharing of info ahead of your appointment, cutting down on the amount of documentation you have to bring with you and shortening the time spent in the office. If you are anything like us, we used to show up with all of our receipts in a box and wade through it with her (We're sorry Karyn) but, she's always patient and helpful. We strongly recommend giving her a try, you won't be sorry!! read more

Karyn Vaughn is an extremely knowledgeable E.A. My husband and I have complicated tax returns due to the military and a custody agreement that is funneled through a different than we reside. She knows all the tax laws regarding the different states. In addition, she is an expert in taxes with military personnel. She understands the difference between things such as combat pay, hazard duty pay, BAH and per diem pay (which is enough to make anyone's head spin). She is kind, friendly and does not waste your time. I would recommend Karyn to everyone! read more

Karyn Vaughn has prepaired and filed my taxes for years and I'll never trust anyone else to do them again! I send all my clients to her and they are all going to be lifelong clients as well! read more

Extremely knowledgeable and efficient. If you are debating on which EA to choose to do your taxes, look no further! Karyn is great!

Karyn Vaughn has been invaluable to me!!! My husband and I both owned small businesses and IRS did an audit going back 5 years... Well, after going through a divorce, and now a single mom, I still had that audit balance hanging over my head. ** I went to Karyn and she helped me file an Offer and Comprise with the IRS, which saved me SEVERAL thousands of dollars. She actually got it down to PENNIES on the dollar. This is a true story and amazingly, I was able to get it paid off. Don't know what I would have done with out her help. She still continues to do my yearly taxes. I HIGHLY recommend her!!! She really goes the extra mile... read more
