Need an International Driving Permit (IDP)? Look no where else! AAA Hawaii is the only in-person…read moreoffice you can get it. The other option is online, which does give you options for multiple years, but you gotta pay international shipping because we live in Hawaii. :/ I'm not a AAA member, but you don't need to be to get an IDP (and passport photos, which you need). Coming here was very easy. It's located along Nimitz, next to Best Buy, in the Nimitz Center. There's a decent amount of parking around. Just park the stalls without any signage. Members have VIP parking out front. Inside is quite lively. I don't think anyone would be bored working there. The front desk receptionist was very friendly and sweet. She gave clear instructions on where I need to go. The entire process was SUPER QUICK. Took my passport photos (only $15 for a set of two), took my driver's license, and a few minutes later, I have my International Driving License ($20 for a year). You can choose your start date, so I chose the first day I rented my car on my travel. Overall, it was an awesome experience. Customer service was top notch. Everyone was so friendly, nice, and super efficient. Now I know where to get my passport photos now! It's cheaper than other places. I'll definitely come back.. cause I expect I'll need an IDP again!

We are 40 year members of AAA…read more It is October 1, 2026 and my truck was stalled on the H-1 freeway! We managed to drive to the US Post office at the airport. I called the AAA for a tow to the car repair shop. I was promised: 2:45pm O'Sung Towing LLC should arrive; I waited ... then received a text: 3:29pm O'Sung Towing LLC should arrive; I waited ... then received a text: 4:24pm O'Sung Towing LLC should arrive! I had been waiting for 3 hours! I had called AAA and was routed to an AI (I hate these things) generated texts ... do you want a STATUS? do you want to CANCEL request for a tow, or do you want an AGENT? I had waited for 3 hours! I called O'Sung Towing LLC and was told they provide 24 hour service; OMG, this is a AAA contractor and they represent AAA. We are 40 year members of AAA! This fact did not impress the AI or human Josh, or Lovye or Christine with AAA that I had been waiting for 3 hours and the fact that as a senior citizen, my request for a tow was disregarded as a insignificant. AAA wanted me to CANCEL my request for a tow and risk waiting 24 hours as their contractor O'Sung Towing LLC prides themselves to service AAA members, without regard to being members for 40 years! What is their purpose for existence! I should have called GEICO at the beginning! As a result, I am cancelling our 40 years membership with the nationwide known AAA. What a waste of time and effort and money to trust AAA. What a waste of time and money to trust O'Sung Towing LLC. AAA should not trust O'Sung Towing LLC and eliminate that company as AAA contractor. I trust GEICO.

So when I moved, I took the opportunity to obtain renters insurance with Ryan Miyashita's office. It has been convenient for me having the monthly premiums consolidated and charged to my credit card. Throughout, KC Balboa has been very helpful and patient. Often, when I had to contact the office in the past, it was because my landlord at the time was requesting a timely response from me. Recently, when my renters insurance was coming up for renewal, I was surprised and pleased that Mr. Miyashita's office had proactively sent a copy of my updated policy to my landlord. I didn't need to request that they do this.
