Services might work for few but doesn't work for most as far as getting funding. Half of the…read moregranters require a monetary membership every month. USBFS did not work at all for me. The services provided and zero grants received doesn't not equate to the $1,500 price tag for only 3 months. Also, I was told that my grant coach would write up my business plan. I never got that business plan. I did all of the paperwork and wrote my own plan. Another important thing to mention is that fact that most grants applications require at least 6 months for processing. So why does USBFS services expire in only 3 months? It would be curious for a business that offer grant opportunities to extend the initial service for at least 6 months to 9 month. Especially for $1,500 "worth of services." That would help insure that the customers' best interests are in mind. I was also told by the supervisor 6 months after signing up that I failed at completing steps at the beginning of my grant profile and that it was my fault that I didn't get any of the potential grant opportunities I was eligible for. I sure would have thought my grant coach would have looked over my profile for corrections so that I could properly submit my profile for funding opportunities. Make your own decision on using USBFS regardless of how much they hound you about signing up. If they followed up my profile as much as they hounded me to sign up then my experience might have been worth my time and money.

If I could give this company zero stars I would. STAY FAR AWAY FROM DAVID WHITE and BALBOA and seek…read morefinancing elsewhere. I signed a lease with him and his trainee back in 2019. Something told me that David was shady and we had some negative interactions, but the loan was already too far along to cancel at that point. They set up my equipment lease for quarterly payments, which I didn't know quarterly lease payments even existed. I never asked for quarterly and was not happy when I found out, but again, it was already too late by that time. I even questioned him about it, but he said something along the line that this was their typical practice. Now 6 years later, at the end of my lease I learned the real reason why they did this. I recently contacted Balboa because, per my records, I had paid 1 extra installment that I thought they had somehow misapplied. I paid "prorated rent" at the start of the lease just short of $30k, which I was told amounts to 1 full payment plus some other fees. Back in 2019, I just assumed that is was my first installment because of the timing, but 6 years later I am being told that NONE of the "prorated rent" gets applied towards the loan--it is a completely separate fee--and that the fine print allowed them to charge me a full installment and then some. So basically, I paid an additional $30k for my own machine! David was able to scam me out of 3x more money by writing my lease as quarterly than if it was written as a normal monthly lease. Even the Sales Manager who helped me look into this matter admitted that I was scammed and he was very apologetic. He said he would never have written a lease like that. He tried to see if he could get me some sort of compensation, but Balboa refused. This David White scammer is still with Balboa today and is still a supervisor.
