I met with Coach Jacqueline for two sessions. Together, we came up with a plan to handle my money. We sat down (virtually) and created a living, breathing budget (financial plan) for October. We touched on the habits and triggers that got me into the economic mess I was in. However, the majority of our conversation centered on taking ownership of my financial choices. Putting things to paper made all the difference in the world. But even with all of the prep I received, I still had to put our plan into action. When I needed to shift a few things around, I wasn't just performing that failed adulating calculus most of us do in our minds. I was documenting the actions I intended to take on paper in the form of a monthly budget. I was able to be proactive with my spending, and not for nothing, my saving as well.
Meeting with Jacqueline didn't cure my financial faux pas instantly. I still eat way too much takeout for my wallet, bank account, and my belly's sake. But I can honestly say that I am far more conscientious about my day-to-day spending. I am closer to seeing the bigger financial picture for my next year than I ever would have been had I not met with Coach Jacqueline in the first place.
I highly recommend Finance 4 Success to anyone looking to establish or regain control over their financial future.
