130 pm, Sunday, March 29, 2026…read more Ugh, not a good time to shop at Costco La Habra. Typically, it's very busy around this time and sure enough it was from how packed the parking lot looked. I was lucky to find a terrible parking spot next to a crooked parked car. I squeezed in hoping and praying that I will come back to zero door dings. I coincidentally returned to the car with my haul before a woman and her husband returned to the crooked Honda CRV. I kept telling myself to keep my mouth shut and do not mad dog them. Okay back to the busy warehouse... I started picking off items in the front-middle, the nuts... I grabbed a giant can of KS jumbo peanuts, bags of salted & unsalted mixed nuts, and a bag of shelled pistachios. Then I steered my way towards cleaning supplies... Grabbed a two pack of Pine Sol (on sale, must grab it!). I was disappointed to not find carpet cleaner solution! Grrr... Off to the meat department... Ooh, very important, grab the rotisserie chicken ASAP! There were a few bags left and I was not going to wait for fresh birds! Done... Go through refrigerated coolers, produce section, dairy cooler, frozen foods, pantry section, and then to self checkout! If you haven't been noticing... Costco took away the scanning gun at Self Checkout. That slows down the whole process!!! I hear they're possibly going to have scan and go or some fancy AI technology to help speed up check outs.

Plus, the building felt smaller. I'm thinking of either getting a Costco or Sam's Club membership eventually, but I like how I can go in with a family member. Costco has some of the best options when it comes to toiletries, meat, bread, and such. Price match still though! I can still find things cheaper elsewhere. And it's hard to locate a certain product sometimes. This specific location though, months ago, when they were giving away free bags for people who signed up for a credit card, there was a situation that annoyed me. I still remember it. Originally, I thought that employee was just a third-party temp or not directly hired by Costco, but I did see her again afterwards. So, long story short, I was with my boyfriend. He was applying for the card on his behalf, and she was basically flirting with him, and asking him questions about his work. I thought that was disrespectful to me and highly invasive. Maybe I'm over-reacting, but that left an extremely bad taste in my mouth and doesn't seem like the professional standard that Costco should be providing. Obviously, I've read reviews about Costco working culture and how people get hired there, but personally, I just feel like that was wrong.

It is…read moresharp AF I looked through the rolling pins, needed one for making dumplings but all they had was a plastic-like roller. I'd much prefer a wooden one. Additionally, I wanted to also look into getting a better whisk, but I think I will make the wood what I have. And I knew I was gonna need a digital scale to help me through my sourdough journey now that I was gifted two sourdough starters--one from Italy and one from France (one of my clients was very giving & thoughtful). The price is range from $40-$85., whoa! Amazon has them for about $30. I will have to think about this.. Met Gonzo, yes, that's how he spelled it, a delightful & enlightened staff member who was very helpful with recommending which would be best. We could've had a whole conversation for a half a day! LoL. In the end, I decided to think about it before purchasing one (turns out later, best decision I made all day) My glass measuring cup is in storage & I find it cumbersome so I bought a lighter version (2 cup). Happy with my purchase. Hubby bought his item separately & let me roam the aisles. Highly recommend this store. Gonzo was instrumental in making me feel welcomed & appreciated to be shopping here, hence the 5 star. As I mentioned many times in the past, I greatly value customer service. It's what keeps me as a return customer
