Pork ramen was subpar. There's no flavor and the soup tastes like a veggie stock??? I didn't get the rich flavor that you'd expect from a pork ramen broth. OH! It kinda tastes like diluted soup or something. Definitely lacking in flavor and taste. Noodles were okay, nothing special. The egg was REALLY REALLY disappointing. Erm cause the egg is actually a QUAIL EGG. Chicken must've not hatched a full egg or smth cause the egg was so sad. Salmon family wasn't bad, although i think they had more crunchy salmon than fresh salmon on top so I felt a lil jipped.

Yuzu Sour

There was no one in the restaurant, so service was fine. Ramen was okay, decent size portion, small egg was anticlimactic, broth seemed watered down, but chashu was delicious. Sushi was okay. The unagi don was okay and not what is traditional: it included Sushi rice and a bunch of sushi cut unagi pieces, with Japanese style pickled vegetables. Good vibe soundtrack that covers pop songs. Yuzu sour was not my style of whiskey... but the homemade lychee ice tea was deliciously sweet.

Great food. Not stingy with fish compared to other places. I'm impressed. Staff is also nice.

I have had Fin II take out many times and dined in a few times. Every time is great! Sushi tastes fresh and delivery is fast!

Shrimp tempura

I've been told to avoid any Asian food in CT because it's not good. I took it with a grain of salt because not every restaurant is bad. I decided to come here because I was pretty hungry and didn't have much time to venture anywhere else for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised with the experience. The lunch specials are really worth it. You can get a lunch special box for under $10. I had the shrimp tempura and it comes with salad or miso soup, rice, california rolls and a shrimp spring roll. I'll have to admit the California rolls were a little small for my liking. The remaining portions were standard sized. The service was good too. I came here around lunch time and the place was not busy at all. Pretty legit place. 3.5 stars

Twilight Roll

This place was absolutely amazing. I ordered a Twilight roll attempting to mimic an order I get from my favorite sushi place, and this order completely blew them out of the water. The service was amazing, he told us his name was Snow - he was so attentive and funny. I will definitely be coming back it was so good even though it was like 90 degrees at the outdoor seating. We also got dessert which was so great. Best lunch I've ever had in my 19 years of life

They have a check in offer for sake! Also the happy hour menu is pretty good and includes both rolls and drinks. I don't remember all the drinks, but I know they have sake (small and large), red sake sangria, mai tai's, and a good selection of beers to choose from. I have lived in Stamford for over a year, but this is a pretty good sushi place in Downtown Stamford. The location itself is small, but the staff is attentive and patient! They were very accommodating in allowing us to split out check 6 ways (even though we did not end up needed to - a good Samaritan paid for our meal). The sushi was excellently prepared and the happy hour prices were perfect for creating a meal. I will definitely come back in the future!

Fin II never disappoints when I feel like a treat. Disappointed owner wouldn't honor Yelp's 10% coupon

Excellent sushi and the restaurant ambience is better than described in other reviews. Sure, they could hang some art... But I was very happy with the quality of the food and the service.

I got the angry dragon and sashimi to go and everything was really great! Fast service and the price was reasonable.

I would say this is a hidden gem, but it seems like most of Stamford knows what a treat this place…read moreis. We came on a cloudy Saturday afternoon after lunch in the area and were hoping for a nice spot to just sit and catch up. I got a Yuzu tea while my friends got a matcha latte and we got a strawberry cream tart to share. The Yuzu was fragrant and the tart was nice and light, exactly what you'd expect from an Asian dessert -- "not too sweet". When we were done, we happily perused all of the goods in the store. They had so many different Japanese offerings, it was so nice to see -- ceramics, teas, snacks, cooked food, etc. There was SO much, and on top of that, they seemed to have almost all of the Harney & Son's offerings, including the special edition teas like the Death of the Nile and Murder on The Orient Express. I was super impressed by this little shop and can't wait to visit Stamford again to explore more of the goodies.

The Japanese ladies who work there--handling product quality, food preparation, and…read moremanagement--work very hard and always welcome me with a smile. The spirit of "ichi-go ichi-e" (treasuring each moment as unique) embodies the beauty of "wa" (harmony) rooted in Japanese Zen philosophy. However, now that the store has become a massive chain, the employees (local part-time or temporary workers) can't even say hello or offer a simple "thank you." They just toss food and items into paper bags. In the worst cases, even when they have a free hand, they won't even bother to put items into the bag for you (much like the self-service at many local supermarkets). They don't ask if you'd like chopsticks, and they remain so unfriendly that customers have to pack everything into the bag themselves--they do nothing until you specifically ask for chopsticks. Can this really be called a Japanese restaurant? Given my position, I'm quite particular about discipline and manners, but I rarely reprimand people I don't know. However, since the situation was so bad, I did speak up--but they must have held a grudge, because their attitude has been even worse ever since. I want to eat delicious food, but I believe the true beauty of Japanese cuisine is only realized when you not only taste the food itself but also appreciate the elegance of the tableware, the pleasant atmosphere of the venue, and the "spirit of hospitality.『Omotenashi no Kokoro」 It's truly disappointing.
