It's been five years that I've been coming to Dr Mauricio & I am so happy with his impeccable detailed caring service, as well as behind the desk, billing, they've all been absolutely wonderful, it's worth the hour plus drive each way for me even just to get my teeth cleaning done here. A friend of mine referred me to Dr Mauricio just over 2 years ago. I'm so happy with the work he has done. I drive from Studio City & yes his worth the hour drive each way, that's how good Dr Mauricio is. I had to have a miner sinus lift, bone graft & 2 implants, plus a tooth pulled, as I had an the infection that was "already there. It took just over a year to complete everything. He did such a wonderful job, also I have to say he took his time to explain & showing me each step that was needed, with his modern technology machinery he has. He was a gentle working on me, compared to other dentists that I've been to. I'm a baby when it comes to teeth work. I wanted to wait to write my review until all work was completed and settled in. I did get 2 other local dentist consultations but they were too eager to give me full mouth veneers as well as the other work that I really needed to be done. Thank-you Dr Mauricio for not trying to talk me into changing my own good teeth & putting all veneers, as well as the work that I just needed done. The doctors and staff are nice however my husband came here for a root canal and was then told that he should have all his amalgams replaced because they were silver fillings which is 50 percent mercury. He had 15 of them and they removed all within a couple weeks of each other. 7 and 8 at a time. So Just be careful if you need to have this done. We didn't know until after that you should see a biological dentist because there is a proper protocol and equipment to do this safely which was not done. My husband ended up in the hospital with neurological issues. He couldn't speak, he had muscle spasms, heart palpitations, ringing in his ears. He couldn't control his body. They did every test you can think of and couldn't figure out what was wrong. We finally found an environmental doctor that said these were symptoms of mercury poisoning and that when you have silver fillings removed, you need to do it safely and there is a proper protocol and safety equipment that should be used because you inhale the vapor and it gets absorbed through your lungs into your blood and then stored in soft tissue in the brain. My husbands test showed lots of mercury. He was only able to get fully better after a year of chelation treatments every week which pulled the mercury from his brain. It was $170 a week to do this and he was unable to work for 6 months. We had two little kids and it was so emotionally and financially burdensome. But we are grateful that we found a doctor that knew what it was and was able to help. So I'm not saying these doctors are not friendly, but we wish we would have done our research before agreeing to the treatment plan and I hope it doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

I'm not entirely sure why this place has so many great reviews. We used to love them several years ago. They had a change in office staff and the place went down hill. They quoted me things based on insurance and the numbers were way wrong. I feel like we've been overcharged. But it gets worse. I got a bill today from March of 2016. A year and a half???? So weird. I called insurance and they had actually paid it within several weeks. I went through my statements and found out Fillmore Dental did in fact over charge. So they owe me a check not this outrageous bill. I refuse to see these people again which basically stinks because the dentists are actually really decent. It's just the office people. read more

Absolutely terrible service. At first they didn't contact our insurance properly and stated service wasn't covered. Then today they cancelled my appointment without notifying me because they couldn't get a hold of me. They called when I was in a meeting, didn't leave any messages, no text, no email, nothing that would indicate a possible cancellation. I took tome off work for this appointment only to find out it had been cancelled the morning of. Terrible customer service. Will never refer this place to anyone. I recently had an implant done by Dr. Mauricio and it turned out beautiful. It was my front tooth so I was a bit nervous. During the entire process, he was very informative, detailed, and thorough with his work. I could tell that he was very meticulous and such a perfectionist. He took his time explaining the process every time. Although, it was a long process since I had to get bone graphing done, it was well worth the wait. The dental assistants were very nice, friendly, and thorough with explaining the extraction procedure. The dentist made sure I was comfortable the entire time and asked if it would hurt and if it did he'd give more numbing medication. For my cleaning the DA went beyond my typical cleaning and even asked the dentist to come in to remove a left over glue stain from a different orthodontist when I had braces over 4 years ago. I was in the worst pain I have ever been in, I was in need of two root canals on my front tooth and one next to it. I literally was in tears (If you've had an infection you know the pain). I was about to go to the hospital, no lie. But I thought I'd stop by and get an opinion from "Fillmore Dental Group". They knew what was wrong with in minutes, they helped me that same day because I was suffering. They even made a couple corrections to a previous crown I had, made my teeth look so nice and straight.
