I'm 62yrs old and have been banking since I was 18 years old and had never had my account compromised. I moved here from Florida in 2019 and have been banking with American One since. I think I've had to replace my debit card 12 times in the last four years or so. In January this year, I misplaced my card and had to get another. Since then, I've been in 3 times for a new card because of fraud. If this has happened to you, you understand how frustrating this is, repeatedly. The last time it happened, I asked if other members were experiencing the same thing. I was told that they can't give out private information.... I didn't ask for any. I was scolded like a child and told the credit union only gives 3 debit cards per year, so if it happened again, I wouldn't be able to have another debit card until January 2026. I responded, I'm not stealing my money, someone else is and your solution is to punish me by taking my debit card? Well, I had to go in today because of another fraud alert. And yes, they refused me another debit card, but no worries, I have a Freedom card I can use... So what happens after that card is hacked 3 times?? Other than a few tips, which I followed, there is nothing else they will/can do, they say. Needless to say, I'm looking for another credit union. How lucky do you feel to know your money is not safe there and their solution is to limit your access to your own money....

They approved of it soo I transferred my money to the North Street Branch in Jackson, Michigan. When I got my monthly statement it was for a lot less amount. I've reached out to Adryan many times and she never would call or email me back. Soo because of her I closed out my accounts and took my business elsewhere. I hope that everyone else has a better experience with her than I did.

She also had her own separate account at Huntington. She deposited a check from a sale which unfortunately turned out to be counterfeit. We notified the bank and made a payment to cover the check. Huntington closed her account and the guardian account without notice. Her disability check is now lost in the system, and I can't reach anyone at Social Security. I must wait for Social Security to send a PIN number through snail mail just to access the web portal and make an appointment with them. She had no access to the guardian account. Guardian accounts cannot be accessed via the app or the web. Guardian accounts do not have debit cards. All transactions must be done in person at a bank branch. They closed the guardian's account, claiming it was a risk because her personal account received a counterfeit check. This is blatant discrimination against individuals who require guardianship to manage their finances.
