For context: I have banked with key and this account for 13 years, and I've never had a bad experience. I visited the Key Chagrin Falls branch on 2/20 at 2:30 PM to deposit a check that had been signed over to me, something I have done many times before without any issue. The person the check was written to was with me, we both had photo IDs (this is what I was told the policy was), and the check was a Key Bank check. The teller called over a manager who was extremely rude and condescending. I had never previously been told that depositing a check in this manner would be a problem. Instead of explaining any policy respectfully, he spoke to me in a dismissive and unhelpful way. If there is a policy change, that is completely fine. However, after doing this multiple times without issue, it was frustrating to suddenly be treated like I was doing something wrong. What made it worse was the attitude. I went to another branch afterward and was immediately helped with kindness and professionalism. There was no need for the condescension. Customer service matters, especially in banking. 13 years and I've never had a Key employee make me feel uncomfortable, but this guy was on one... Wild...if you can't be kind and patient with people, don't work with people. Maybe a cubical job is more his vibe?

Well this story starts 9/19/25 I went to the bank to deposit some funds I received for my finance'…read more I was told to deposit the funds they will sit for a few days and I can come back to retrieve my funds. Ok no problem however when I go back Tuesday after the funds cleared the Branch Manager Tamira Bacon was in! She asked me for a few more documents to ensure I had all rights to deposit the funds! I even presented her with the POA. She told me she will call me in 30-60 minutes that was at 11am around 1pm I called her, she then proceeded to tell me that she have someone else looking at the paperwork and they should be done by 4pm. 4pm came and went still no returned call! I let it go till Friday! I go in earlier in the day she still telling me lies because EVERYTIME I spoke with the Customer Service line they continued to tell me Tamira Bacon is holding my funds then I come to find out she put a restriction on my account by Saturday 10/4/25 my account has been closed for no valid reason! They are still holding my finance' funds! This has been a horrendous experience I've been a Chase customer for years never had a problem now because of the amount of the funds all this extra mess has occurred!
