Not worth it if you want a ring made properly…read more My sister got her engagement/wedding rings from Sarah O back when they were newer- and I love their designs so I had said for 5 years I wanted my rings from here. My fiancé bought me the Nova ring and proposed 12/22. 12/23 I took a closer look and saw that the prongs on my center stone were FAR from flush on the stone (see pictures, iPhone cameras are wild). Which is a problem because if they snag on clothes or furniture the prongs bend more and the stone can loosen and fall out. On top of that one of the halo stones was loose (video). On a BRAND NEW, never worn ring. We took it to Sarah O and they admitted fault and said of course they'de repair the ring- under the limited warranty it was all covered, but it will take 3-4 weeks. Bummer.. but glad the solution was simple no pushback... Don't underestimate how disappointing it is to tell all of your loved ones you are engaged and everyone says where is the ring, they reach for your hand and there's nothing there. I 3 weeks go by and I get the ring back, Prongs on the main stone were fixed.... But the loose halo stone... they smushed the setting from the top in order to secure the mele stone- causing the sides to fan out creating a gap from the sides of the setting to the diamond. Which ruined the symmetry of the ring and disrupted the sparkle of the halo diamonds because of the way it was sitting. (See photos) Devastated. Emailed with the new problem was told "we had professional jewelers quality check the ring so the stone is secure but if you want to we can fix this for you, we will rush it so it's done in 1 week"... Quality check the ring??? I know I said I wanted the stone secured and not loose, I didn't assume I'd have to specify that professional jewelers should fix it the right way...... I send it back. Next day, I get a call from our customer support contact.... Tells me that manipulating the metal in this way would ruin the integrity of that setting, more likely to bend and fail holding the stone- so they're recommending that they completely recast the ring. However - that will take 6 weeks. If I don't want to wait that long they can send the flawed ring back as is... assuring me the stone is secure... but what they didn't say is that- that would mean that if the stone ever fell out due to normal wear and tear ... to have it fixed they would still need to recast the ring but my warranty would probably be expired and I'd have to pay for it. So I sent it back. Nearly 6 weeks go by and I email to check on my rings status. They say it'll be done "the week of the 23rd." So that means it could be done on FRIDAY of that week when it should be done Friday the week prior - that is 6 weeks- and you should be mailing it to me ON the 23rd - you've had 6 WEEKS!!! The "week of the 23rd is 7 WEEKS" and if it isn't done until Friday that means you'll be mailing it to me the next week and be pushing 8 weeks! So I sent an email detailing exactly what I just said. And lone behold they were able to ship the ring to me the next day. I recieved it and checked it 5xs over and it seems to be fixed. Fixed so well I'm seeing flaws from the previous ring I never even pointed out were fixed: My V prongs apparently were very sloppily made the first time (see last picture) lol. Honestly comical now. They gave us a 25% discount code to compensate us for the trouble to use towards a wedding band- because we asked for it we felt like we should get something, they didn't initiate this offer- but I'm not sure I want to purchase from them again anyway. Besides they had a Black Friday sale for 20% off in November so it doesn't particularly feel like a fair recompense for being without my ring for 3 months. The good news is the Sarah O team was always very responsive and respectful and owned their mistakes. -denial would've been much worse. Just very unfortunate that it takes so much advocacy and the fact that you as a non-professional really have to double check their work and make them do it right rather than them doing it right the first time. We have a family friend who also purchased their engagement ring from here within the past year or so and while they didn't have the same construction issues their ring was A MONTH DELAYED. They had to replan their whole engagement plan. And as I mentioned my sister got her rings from here years ago and hasn't had a problem, hasn't lost a stone so. ‍ idk maybe their production system changed. I like my ring- but I bet I could find a ring I like just as much elsewhere. That's what I suggest you do. ..... Will update this review should the longevity of my ring turn out to be an issue.

We were required to submit a $200 non refundable deposit before even seeing the design of the ring, which I thought was ridiculous. The biggest red flag was the price. With a simple custom design using a 1.5ct lab grown diamond and yellow gold we were quoted near $11,000. The stone itself was quoted at $2,000 which is insane for a lab grown diamond. We went somewhere else for comparison, and learned their price to create an even more customized ring with a larger 3ct lab diamond the cost was only $3,500. Sarah O has some beautiful pieces and most of the staff are so nice, but our experience made us wary and I wanted to share our experience to make sure other couples consider their options for comparison before paying potentially unnecessary premium prices. Do your research for fair prices for the center stones you want. Every person's experience is unique to them, I hope this was helpful!

They told me to give them a couple of days on the design for the new bracelet for my approval. When I received their ideas, it was exactly what I wanted. A week later my bangle and my bracelet were shortened perfectly. Two weeks later my cross bracelet arrived. Unfortunately, I damaged the clasp the first week. The damage was completely due to MY misuse. Not their skill. (I am EXTREMELY HARD ON JEWELRY) We took it back in to be repaired. I just picked it up. They put on a heavy duty clasp at my request. My fiancé customized my ring at Mark's Diamonds and it's so perfect. Secondly, I had to get my new ring resized and they did it in no time. Because they have a jeweler onsite this makes it easier for them to make repairs a lot quicker. I also had to have a quick repair done on the prong and they were able to do this with a quick turnaround also. Thirdly, I want to also shout-out their jeweler- I'm so happy with the custom ring that my fiancé made for me and the craftsmanship and quality of my ring is unmatched. And lastly, every person that I've worked with at Mark's Diamonds has been super nice and welcoming. The whole group at Musselmans is great and you can really tell the difference between the way they run their business vs others. Their pricing is more than fair and they are committed to building relationships. They're the only shop that I would trust to do work on vintage rings and they're the only place we'll go to moving forward for jewelry purchases!

I was deceived by this company into losing a substantial amount of money on a ring return. Their…read moreactions were predatory at best, but may amount to theft. In May, I spoke to the sales team and purchased a ring knowing that it could be returned within 30 days for a full refund. In June, still within the return window, I bought a new ring and initiated a return of the first ring. For two days the support team provided conflicting instructions on how I should handle the return and ultimately instructed me to bring the ring in to their office later that week for a return. A month went by and no money had been refunded. I went to their office and they informed me that although the ring had been returned in new condition, I had returned it outside their 30 day return window and hence they would be delivering me only a partial return. I had initiated the return inside the window, but due to their changing and conflicting instructions--and no mention of a partial refund--did as I was asked and physically returned the ring later that week which landed outside their 30 day window. I am now out a substantial amount of money and the response from customer support is that they can't help me.

While the 2 women who helped me were mostly pleasant, it felt like 2 semi-amateurs giving me an absurd quote for a "pre-existing" setting. When they mentioned the jeweler using the cad program, they told me that to set each stone is $100. I find this crazy given the quote from the place we visited after this. They also recommended I bring more gold in as trade when the other jeweler said the gold from my original ring && 1 other was more than sufficient to have my new ring made. Lastly, what the biggest standout was for me on service was the second jeweler I visited was very professional & even came down from his work space to look at my stones w/me as. As I was explaining what I wanted, he was able to sketch out EXACTLY what I wanted...not attempting to put it in a preexisting design. All in all, it felt like this jewelry store was more into the business of selling pieces rather than making. I'm giving 1 stars because of the absurd amount I was quoted, the lack of care for making a custom piece (not meeting w/the jeweler) & the disinterest felt by both women to work w/us. If you want a great designer who seems to really care, visit Doug at Pierret Designs. You won't be disappointed, he's been in the business for 50 years & you can certainly tell.

Not only do they have gorgeous pieces, but they also repaired my wedding band. A stone had fallen out. They replaced the stone, checked all of the supports for the rest of the stones and also did some magic to make it look brand new. The ring is 12 years old. The owner, Brien, and his son work there and gave me some beautiful history on their business. This family owned jewelry store was opened by Mr. Foster's mother back in 1959 - who was a single mother of 3 children. When you walk in, you'll also see family photos which reminds me how important it is to frequent and support locally owned (and unique) businesses like Foster & Sons that have top notch (and super friendly) customer service. My kids went with me and I felt like I was visiting family - with how generous with their time and attention to making it a wonderful (never stuffy) experience for them as well. Thank you so much!!

Part two is for the used watch side of the business. Unfortunately I did not get the name of the employee who helped me. I asked for his card and he wouldn't give me one. To start he was super vague on the Rolex watches I inquired about. Didn't know anything about them. Then he lied to me twice saying a watch I inquired about was not in stock. After sensing I actually was looking to buy and asking if he were to find one would I buy it, I said perhaps, it depends on the watch, he walks away and comes back with the watch. He knew all along he had the watch in stock but lied to try to make a sale on finding a unicorn. I am in sales, I know what shady tactics are and this guy oozed incompetence and simple minded efforts. When I started looking at the watch and trying it on he started taking notes on his cell phone and said he will show me when we are done. I decided that particular size of the watch was not what I was looking for, and I didn't feel like paying the 2k markup he offered so I decided to think about it and perhaps revisit it when I was back in town 3 days later. As soon as I said that he showed me his notes which said "He won't buy the watch even though it is perfect." I was immediately angry. What a total sleaze ball. Insulting a customer is rarely a good sales approach. How someone that incompetent and feebleminded has a job in the luxury business is beyond me. Instead of spending 10k on a watch yesterday in your store, I walked across the aisle and bought my wife some Louis Vuitton bags. I will gladly work with Carlos in the future and Rolex AD side. Couple weeks later I pushed the pendulum too hard and it came out of its track. Well they back their work with a 90 day warranty so he just came out right away, fixed it, told me what I did wrong, installed something that will help prevent that from happening and told me what NOT to do. The man is very quiet, doesn't say much, but he definitely speaks through his work, and when he does speak it's to teach you and help you with your clock. Larry and team are just wonderful. Although this is written from the perspective of the proposée, I wanted to be sure to document my experience here: While my fiancé was very clever in finding my ring size, it was not quite right--and he waited until I was moving across the country for work to propose... Larry stayed open late to welcome us into his space after the work day. He determined my size, offered great perspective on the size to choose (tighter, looser), equipped me to properly take care of the piece, and rushed the resizing/engraving service so that I could wear it proudly and securely during my move. My fiancé and I so appreciated this and it put me move at ease during this important transition--getting engaged and moving to a new place. All this said, I should not neglect to mention that the ring was absolutely beautiful! Larry facilitated the realization of a truly beautiful and well-considered piece that I will cherish, and which I now have the tools to take care of.
