The hubby and I went for an impromptu lunch date while we were out running errands. It was about 1:30 on a Monday and there were only a couple other tables seated. The service was fantastic! We were seated immediately, they took our order and we had food in front of us in less than 15 minutes. Our server was very attentive but not hovering. The chips, salsa and bean dip to start were 100%. I could have filled up on that alone. I got the chimichanga and my husband got the chile rellano and enchilada combo lunch special. Our food came out hot and quick. My chimichanga was delicious and stuffed with shredded chicken. My husband's food was also very good, but didn't have as much meat filling as mine did. We both enjoyed our meals and will be back again. read more

The food here is pretty good (for Boise) and the servers here do their best to act professional and I really appreciated the effort. The ambiance is like a classic Mexican American restaurant. Some fun decorations. Some fun colors. When in Boise, my family will probably be coming back here. It's a decent sit-down Mexican food place. read more

Great service and great food great margaritas too! Friendly staff. Affordable, love this place!

Great food and service! Will return for the chicken and rice soup! No Margaritas so can't give 5 stars.

Went to Fiesta Guadalajara recently and honestly it was such a fun time! The place has this lively energy, you walk in and it already feels like a little celebration. Staff was super welcoming and checked on us just enough, made everything feel easy and relaxed. The food came out hot and smelled sooo good, I dug into my plate right away lol. Portions were big, like you def wont leave hungry. Chips and salsa kept coming and I loved that alot. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor, just hit the spot. Left full and happy, already thinking about my next visit! read more

Food was delicious. Hubby had a chicken burrito. It was quite large and seasoned perfectly with very generous amounts of chicken. I had the chili relleno and a shredded beef enchilada combo plate. The chili relleno is one of the best I've had in sometime. Not smothered in some kind of red sauce. It had just the right amount of melty cheese. Service was good. Decor is fun with hand carved benches with comfy padding. Will definitely be back. We were here early - 5:00 ish so it was rather quiet. read more

Food is consistently delicious and the restaurant interior and service are delightful.

I love the chicken quesadilla and the friend rice! The fried ice cream is really good too and the waiters are very nice!

Love this place, gave my family of 7 free deserts for my nephews birthday. Very very impressed with their service, quality of food and the fact that they deliver every time. read more

Been dozens of times in four years. Posting a review as the location has noticeably backslid in the last year or so. Would recommend takeout only as the interior is stale and service is understaffed at this point. Food is good, but use to be great. Ingredients are of top quality, yet the food is becoming bland. Additionally the price has increased 15-20%, a bad combination when food is suffering too. I will still be ordering, just at lower frequency. Still best Mexican takeout in SE Boise. I hope they correct back to a 5 star experience. read more

I moved to south east Boise about eight months ago. I was reluctant to try Fiesta Guadalajara because of the bad reviews. I tried it and I'm happy that I did. The food was yummy. The service was pleasant. The ambience was pleasurable. Very roomy and nice decor. The restaurants were clean. There was absolutely nothing about the experience that would dissuade me from returning again. read more

I looked at their menu and prices. The Deluxe taco salad was listed at $6.75. They were actually around $14 something. They need to update their menu pictures. I was not impressed with the beef salad. read more

Really probably a 4 star but reading through some of the stupid 1 star reviews, I had to give an extra star to balance it out. Fair is fair. For real review, I've been here a dozen times and have done to-go orders - handful of times. The food is good and the staff are great. Nachos Deluxe will feed 2-3 people. Flautas are delicious. All there food is good. They can handle larger groups very easily. To react to bad reviews, sure they don't give you a ton of FREE chips but that's a good thing so you don't fill up on the plain chips & salsa. It's plenty for number of people at the table unless you're a fatty looking to shovel chips into your face. I'm sure the person that has "always LOVED this place and LOVED the food" that was pissed because they couldn't get seated for an hour on Mothers Day is just a joyful Karen looking to lash out. Many of the others are just ridiculous low reviews. Do your homework, look at those people's history, then rightfully ignore them. Give this place a try. read more

Not even 1 star! We usually like this place. Our server was just awful. Our food was cold and soggy. He never checked to see if we were happy with our order. We waited and waited. Finally walking out. We told the gentleman on the way out we shouldn't have to pay as we didn't eat the food because it was so bad. Instead of addressing the problem he started taking pictures of and told us to smile and he would call the police. So of course I paid for it. It was a horrible experience. Please people be kind :/ so sad. read more

We went on cinco de mayo and the atmosphere was great as well as the service. They were providing fee tequila shots to all those of age which was super fun! The food was good, but not their best this visit. & we've been here several times over the past few years and it has been consistently good or very good. It's one of our top nearby Mexican restaurants. read more

The food is OK, generic everyday Mexican food, nothing special nor terrible The problem with this place is how stingy they are with the chips and salsa. The basket they give you to start is not full at all and the menu says if you want more it costs $1.50 for each new basket. We were done with our basket fast and never got a new one. Nobody ever came by to offer another. They just came by with our meals, left them and we never saw them again. Never got a drink refill either. Just god awful service. And no the restaurant wasn't busy, there were only about four tables occupied at the time. So my recommendation would be to order to go only from this place because the whole Mexican restaurant experience where you get to snack on chips and salsa during the meal ain't happenin here. read more

Ordered to go for 3 guys that were moving all day... very hungry. Ordered 3 dinner entres and asked if they could please include chips and salsa for each big guy. Bill was ~70.00. I even added a 20% tip despite it being to go. I was given a single human handful of chips. I asked the hostess to please get more and told her i was even willing to pay if it's extra. She refused & told me it's 1 serving of chips "per order". I again said I'm willing to pay, the guys are hungry and had i known then maybe i should have ordered each meal on its own ticket. Bottom line, another family walked in the door to be seated and she completely ignored me. So yeah..... don't go here... and upon getting the food back to the guys, it was very small portions and honestly poor quality too.... just moved to the area and will not be a regular of this place. Nope. read more

Chips were stale and the lettuce on my taco salad was wilted. The chips were not only served cold, but tasted so bad I could only eat a few. The lettuce on the taco salad was equally as bad. I really hate writing such a bad review (most of my reviews are very positive). The only thing positive that I can say is that atmosphere was really nice and so was the wait staff. read more

After reading the reviews I struggled to check out the food. I was pleasantly surprised that the food was pretty good. I ordered a combo of an enchilada and a chili relleno. It wasn't a crunchy relleno. It was a soft one with an egg encasing. I really liked it. The chicken enchilada was pretty great too. I have to admit that the relleno sauce was bland and tasted as if it was from a can but by putting their delicious salsa on top, made it more flavorful! You can ask your sever from some hot sauce and they will bring out some traditional hot sauce from a bottle or some they have either made or bought somewhere. No matter where it came from, it is sure to add the kick some people want with their Mexican food. Service was a bit slow but I think the poor gentleman had the whole place to watch by himself. So for being the lone soldier in the place, he did great! Chips and salsa are clutch. I give their salsa a 4/5 star. In the end, I don't think this place is as bad as the reviews make it seem, however, I know most places are hit and miss and so I look forward to making it back to see if it is consistent. read more

Fiesta Guadalajara | Mexican - a view of a dining area in a mexican restaurant - Mexican Near Me - Boise, Idaho

This place was a pleasant surprise. I missed Cinco de Mayo, but their sign was still up on seis, so I stopped in. Clean and pleasant restaurant. You are served a great salsa and a small dollop of refried beans with "a less than generous" basket of chips. On the menu it says the first serving of chips are complimentary and refills for the chips are $2. I thought that was both an unusual practice and kind of expensive for such a small portion of chips (and there was only one person at my table.) The chips did not make it through the salsa and a very kind server asked if I wanted more, but another basket would have been too much and I certainly was not going to spend $2 to use up a couple of tablespoons of salsa. This is my only criticism of this restaurant. The food was pretty good and their special for Cinco de Mayo made it even better. $3 beers and the tacos al pastor were the special for $10.75. I could not finish the special, it was good but had I been charged the regular menu price for this meal, I would have thought it was a little spendy for "ok" Mexican fare. All in all, I am happy to have finally gotten to dine at Fiesta Guadalajara. It is an ok stop, but I probably will not go back. I am a frugal restaurant eater and I expect a lot more for the money. read more

Been coming here for years. Never once had a bad experience. The only less-than-perfect thing I can say about this location is that they are understaffed; but so is everyone else. Great food, fast service, friendly staff, and great prices. There's nothing more to ask for besides maybe some tacky Instagram dessert? read more

Service is super friendly and attentive! Very casual and roomy interior. You get chips, salsa, and beans upon seating. Nothing special with the salsa and beans. I ordered the chicken soup. Huge bowl first off. Soup was good. I would have preferred a few more vegetables but is is chicken and rice soup. Was great for a cool night. Wife ordered a combo plate that was simply flavored. Nothing that wowed her. If you are looking for a Mexican restaurant that is not heavy on the spices, this is your joint. Cheers Always! read more

Food lacked flavor. Service is what got this a 2 star honestly could pass on this place if I had to do it again. Nice decor.

Overall, the food is good, authentic and served hot, even to go. I would go back, and I will also encourage friends and family to visit.

Delicious Mexican food, fresh ingredients, and family recipes. They have the best Chili Verde I have had in the Treasure Valley, quality meat, no fat. The dinner plates are large, I always have leftovers. The dinners do not lack food, and I particularly like that the food is served hot, as is the plate. The staff is friendly and checks on you often. No need for reservations, this is a hidden gem. I would recommend it to anyone, much better than many Mexican resteraunts in the Treasure Valley. Enjoy. restaurants read more

For sure one of the best TexMex restaurants that I've been to, so much so that when we are in Boise, this is our favorite spot!! The salsa is great and they sell it on site!! Very clean establishment. Our server on point, didn't hover but made sure that we were taken care of. There are dishes with little to no cilantro!! We had fajitas for 2 and it was very plentiful and so delicious. read more

Fiesta Guadalajara | Mexican - Lunch was great! - Mexican Near Me - Boise, Idaho

I eat at Fiesta Guadalajara regularly and consider it good, consistent food at a decent price. I've never had a bad experience at this location and I've been frequenting the eatery for years. What it is not: authentic Mexican food (whatever that means-since I'm sure most people haven't been in some Mexican pueblo for months in order to become an expert...). It's Mexicanish but tasty. If you want something more street taco-esque or different, hit up Carniceria Coacolman. What it is: reliable, clean, and fast. Plus, super with it waitstaff. The salsa is on point with plenty of zip. Some of the best iced tea in town. Happy space with lots of natural light. Give it a try and judge for yourself. I've taken plenty of folks there for lunch and they've become converts. read more

Quiet for a monday night but fast service excellent food, large portions, and a very friendly staff

I've come to the conclusion this is the best Mexican sit down food in town. I've been going here for years; and always get their carne asada. I've essentially been judging restaurants by the quality of carne. As of recently; I've ventured around trying to see if anyone local has carne asada that is comparable. And after having an order tonight; nope. Fiesta G. has hands down the best carne in town. Tonight's randomly was extra delicious. I've decided to just be wise and go straight to F.G. anytime I'm in the mood for delicious Mexican. read more

We have always loved Fiesta Guadalajara restaurant in Boise. We love the food. However, we probably will not return. We tried to get a table for 3 for Mother's Day meal. It was 2:30 pm. We saw 1 table with customers. A young and came up and told us that they weren't seating anyone at that time, because they were short staffed, and to come back in an hour. We've come also where. read more

Yo this place is amazing. Huge portions of delicious and flavorful food. I moved to Boise from Portland but am originally from LA.
