Lunch specials galore! What a great spot for it! Give yourself some time as service can be on the slower side. When I was here there was 1 staff member attending to ALL tables + the bar. We came in at a great time, 12:30pm. At that point there were maybe 10 other people. By 1pm though there was at least 30-40 guests. The ambiance is similar to a taqueria. You definitely get taken out of Streamwood and placed into Mexico. Music is very loud which can be an issue to some. For food I had the taco duo which came with 2 tacos (I picked Al pastor), as well as refried beans and rice. The tacos were DELICIOUS. Flavorful, good portion, and juicy. The rice and beans were meh. Kind of bland but I've had worse. I did hear others complain about some of the proteins not being available (ground beef). This wasn't an issue for me but could be if someone was coming here strictly for that. For $7.99 I thought this was a great and fair lunch special offered Monday - Friday. It was storming out and we wanted to eat close to home and I am always craving some good Menudo and was so happy they made some today! My friend recommended this restaurant for our meet up tonight. Best decision, they had a Taco Tuesday special buy one taco dinner and take one home free. I had two barbacoa and one steak taco, All with cilantro and onion. These were the best barbacoa tacos I've had, and I've had a lot of good "legit" tacos. The meat was juicy, filled with flavor.
