They also have soups, salads, assorted pastries, starters (fried dumplings, festival, tostones, and saltfish fritters), cold beverages, and family meals. Bring the kids cause Fiery Irie has kid's meals which includes one choice of side and a fountain beverage. A pleasant female employee took my order of the brown stew chicken lunch special which was served with my choice of rice & peas and fried plantains. Within 5 minutes, the female employee placed the food in a container and handed it to me. I thanked her and headed to my vehicle. Well you know me, gotta eat on the go. So here's my impression on the food: * Brown stew chicken was browned nicely, tender, and very flavorful. Was made with pieces of carrots and dumpling...nice touch! * Rice & peas was cooked to a soft consistency and had a good amount of sauce added to it. * Plantains was fried nicely and was very sweet...just how I like 'em. Must definitely come back to this restaurant. They have 3ct. fried dumpling (in St. Maarten, we call them Johnny Cake) for $1.99 and I haven't had those in a long time. The chicken was cooked to perfection. The yellow rice was a bit bland for me. Felt great to fully enjoy my meal and finish my leftovers in the same day. The portions are generous. Food is hot and fresh. My sister had the curry chicken. My chicken was great but the consistency of the curry chicken that my sister had was a bit weird. It was like biting into rubbery/squeaky chicken. Don't really know how to explain it. Place was very clean. It's a family owned business. The employee who took my order was kind and helpful. I passed by this place thinking it was some kind of meat place. It wasn't until I entered the restaurant that I realized they serve Jamaican/Caribbean food. If you check in with Yelp, you will get a free Signature Lemonade. Warning: It contains ginger. Not a fan of ginger, but if you love ginger in your lemonade, you will love it. Since pot roast was one of the things that was listed on my hunt, I was happy to order the Brown Stew Chicken. I left the restaurant and got in my car.
