Two pieces of chicken thighs, dark meat.
    Ingrid R.

Horrible, I paid extra for all white meat chicken and I received dark meat. I called the restaurant they wanted me to drive 15 miles back to them to give me the correct order. This was the second time I paid extra and did not receive the correct item. The quality of the food has also declined drastically. Not a good choice for good food.

This is my third time there and I've had the brown soup chicken each time and it's absolutely delicious. I got it with rice and peas and sweet plantains.. I also got festivals the order come to three. They are pretty decent size.

Craving ackee and saltfish for breakfast, I decided to order from Fiery Irie on DoorDash, and it did not disappoint! I paired it with their festival and fried ripe plantains, and everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were authentic and brought back warm memories of my dad getting this dish for us to enjoy in the early mornings with a glass of orange juice. The food was fresh, perfectly prepared, and filled with so much flavor. It's safe to say I'll definitely be ordering from here again. Highly recommend Fiery Irie for a taste of home-style Jamaican cooking!

On my way to work, I went out of my way to go have my favorite jerk pork. what a disappointment. It has completely fallen off. Feels like I was served leftover food. Unappetizing. The cabbage tastes like it's staring to turn. The pork is under seasoned. The blonde lady that served it and showed it to me, look on her face as if she knew it looked horrible. I don't have time to sit there and argue so I took it. I thanked her and I left. Even if it was perfect, the portion is small. Sad. Went straight to the garbage and now I have to order lunch. Don't go here. It is not what it was.

Another winning meal!! This meal is my go to. Large portions so good!!! Love the chunks of salt fish in the ackee. Service with a smile from Liz and the entire staff. Today was a to-go order but it's always a chill vibe. I will be back again and again.

Waiting room for some Fire food .... A must stop every time I'm in the area.

Fourth time is a charm! We go back for the convenience and fairly decent food. Is it THE BEST, no.... However, they have solid options and good service. No doubt I'll be back, and I appreciate them! Thank you team for being present for your work!

In town on business and someone ran to get us some lunch. Our hosts wanted us to try this Jamaican food. I asked for a veggie entree and this is what I got. And you know what? I could eat this every single day of my life. It was so simple. Yet the flavors melded so perfectly and complemented each other so well! At the end I just threw the cabbage over the peas and rice so I could have all the flavors in each bite. Color me a fan. I'd love to come back and see what the establishment is like bc we ate this as takeaway over a conference table. Yum.

"Large" Plate is a sorry excuse for the company to add 2 more smaller pieces of meat and an exorbitant amount of rice and up charge. To receive (3) sweet plantains and and regular size mac and cheese is cheap and terrible food proportion. False advertising as the restaurant claims the Large plate is $10.99 on the digital menu as opposed to the in store price being $14.99.

I saw hookah in the garden area and its mention that the brunch is great. I came in for the first time on a week evening for a late dinner. When we sat we noticed that the menu was small and had no prices . Yikes ! Anywho we decided to stay. For drinks we had the lychee dragonfruit margarita 10/10 and Hennessy rum punch 10/10 but they took forever to arrive to the table. For starters we had the lobster fritters which I was imagining something completely different. It was not terrible but I didn't enjoy it. For dinner I had the lobster and shrimp Alfredo pasta which was so flavorful. We also had the oxtail with white rice and plantain which the oxtail was tender and flavorful. Overall the service was a bit slow but the food was fresh and came hot to the table. For was also very good. However it is overpriced for some people as our bill was about $200

We came across Kekoon Restaurant & Lounge in Davie, FL and made reservations, which I highly recommend. The restaurant itself is very nice, with plenty of free parking, which is always a plus. Before we even walked in, we could hear the music from outside and already knew the vibes were going to be on point. Once inside, we were greeted by the hostess and, after a short wait, taken to our table and introduced to our waitress for the night. Our waitress, Ginger, was absolutely beautiful and took great care of us throughout the evening shoutout to her for the excellent service. Since it's a restaurant and lounge, we ordered drinks and appetizers for the table. The oxtail egg rolls were our favorite definitely a must-try. The coconut bang bang shrimp wasn't the best; it was falling apart. The salmon bombs were just okay, and the truffle fries weren't really truffling, if you know what I mean. The drinks were good, but the presentation and taste weren't consistent. We ordered two rounds. I had the Watermelon Pomegranate Cosmopolitan, and my sister ordered the blueberry Don Julio mint mojito and the dragonfruit margarita. One thing to note: there are no prices on the menu, so be prepared to spend money. Drinks were around $20, and a shot was $15, which felt a bit steep considering the location isn't beachfront. Around 11:30 p.m. midnight, a young lady came around offering hookah service. We ordered the blueberry mint hookah for $90, but unfortunately it started getting harsh after about 15 minutes. A quick restroom note: only one of the two toilets was working, and it had run out of toilet paper, which was disappointing especially since the place wasn't even packed. Overall, we had a decent time. The vibes, music, and service (especially Ginger) were highlights, but there are definitely some areas that could use improvement for the price point.

The chicken was tender, well seasoned, and soaked in that rich curry sauce. It came piled over rice with veggies and potatoes mixed in, and the flavors were deep and authentic. The restaurant itself has a cool island vibe inside with the beach murals and bright colors that make it feel relaxed and laid-back. The setup is simple cafeteria style, so you move down the line and pick what you want, which keeps things moving. As the place was empty and two women working were talking at the bar I walked in and went to sit. One of the women asked if I was with the group and then told me I needed to wait to be seated. It was awkward. It was a bit rude. Most times it's not what you say, but how you say it. Maybe it's just me, but the waitress immediately informed me that three items weren't available, including biscuits and cornbread of some sort. As a first-timer, it was weird. Fortunately, everything got better from there. My first meal, regardless of time, needs to be breakfast-y. As I perused the weekday brunch menu via QR code (what if you don't have a phone?) I ordered a coffee and water. The water came quickly, but the coffee took its time. I ordered the Wafflette (don't you want to try things you can't get other places?) It came as pictured and was good. The syrup was quite watery and left a lot to be desired, but I really didn't need it. The star of this dish is the bacon. I could have bathed in this bacon. It was thick and chewy, such a nice compliment. I don't know if there are bar stools available and whether they set up center aisle seating when it's more crowded, but the restaurant appeared clean and well-kept. There were no rounds available when I went, so I don't know how they accommodate groups of 10+, I sat along the banquette that could accommodate two. I am very interested in returning to try the ox tails, which are available in two (or was it three) dishes on the menu. I look forward to revising my review then.
