I had obtained five re-roofing estimates before choosing Hernandez Roofing. The job was to remove a cedar shake roof and install a 40-year composite shingle roof and seamless gutters around the entire perimeter. After meeting and discussing my needs with Fernando, he provided a detailed estimate via email within a few days. I called and accepted his estimate and we agreed on a date to begin. They arrived with the necessary permit and began the job on time. The re-roofing went without any problems, from the removal of the old roof to the installation of the plywood, felt and new shingle. They installed new flashings and eyebrow vents (see pictures) and allowed me to choose the color with which they'd be painted. They consulted with me as to the placement of the eyebrow vents as well. They also worked with me to install two tunnel skylights. All went very well and it was nice that they met with me whenever there were questions. The installation of new gutters also went well. Once again, they met with me and inquired whether I wanted the new downspouts in the same locations or elsewhere. I took some time to make this decision as I wanted a couple of them moved and they were very patient. Once again, the owner and crew were all very courteous, hard-working and professional. There was a very small amount of debris around the house as they finished the job but I can't imagine ripping off a 30-year-old cedar shake roof without a few errant staples to be found. I would definitely recommend Hernandez Roofing to anyone in need of a re-roof, with or without new gutters. Their prices are very competitive and the owners are very friendly and explain everything. This was the first time I used Mr. Hernandez and I selected him because of his 5-star Yelp review. He special ordered the shingles so I had the exact same brand, type and color to match my house and drove 100 miles just to get them. Because of heavy rains that occurred while we waited ten days for the shingles, he and his crew fully tarped the bare roof until the weather cleared. In two days my roofing and 104 ft of seamless gutters and downspouts were installed and everything looks great. Mr. Hernandez and his crew were always on-time and I was impressed with the care they took to get my job done right. His price was fair and his crew even cleaned up some construction trash that the previous framers left behind! In a few months I will be building a barn with an even larger roof and I will be calling Mr. Hernandez back to do that job.

Daniel was recommended by a favorite drywall professional who called Daniel his "finish man.". When i called, he sensed the urgency, and immediately drove from King City (south county) to patch a hole made from a tree limb shooting through our roof, attic, and into the Master Bedroom. Daniel had the hole closed, to keep the debris from entering the house as the roofers tore off the roof and replaced it. Daniel's patch, paint & texture work was so perfect that nobody could tell where the limb had been sticking through the roof into the Master Bedroom below. But, a laser meter detected water had gotten in between the walls. The water remediation people took out big sections of wall where water stains were appearung. Once the damaged areas were dried off the storm water, Daniel was back. His task was much larger, but he skillfully put the new drywall in every area that had been damaged and removed. Then he carefully applied the drywall mud, let it dry a few days, then returned. We were lucky that the damaged rooms (bedroom wall, landing, and great room below had someone as skilled and hardworking as Daniel to fix everything! His texture skills and paint made all evidence of water damage disappear! And, despite the long drive, Daniel was there, on time, with his classic "here to help" winning smile he has! Our storms were the "worst ever!". But, thanks to daniel, the reminder of their damage to our Pebble Beach home is gone! No trace left behind! Thank you D. A. Drywall! Daniel Aguilar is the best!

I contacted them because all their reviews were so positive. I have a 3,200 Sq ft attic that has been a hotel to my numerous feral cats/kittens and a few opossums and raccoons for 15 yrs now! They destroyed all the insulation and the heating/air ducting You ask how did this happen, well if you have ever dealt with a large group of feral cats that breed like rabbits, it becomes overwhelming very quickly especially when you don't even know they are up there! Well, we are finally down to two cats living up there so we knew IT WAS TIME TO GET THE ATTIC CLEANED UP, NEW INSULATION AND DUCTING AND THEN CLOSE IT UP FINALLY! I called three contractors expecting them all to turn down the job and I couldn't blame them if they did! Fortunately, SCI - Simons Const was the first company I called. Ryan answered the phone and said he would be out the next da1y to look at it. He went up into the attic and when he came back down he said YES, they would do the job and he explained in full detail to me what they needed to do and how they were going to do it! He also sent me a detailed bid THAT NIGHT and explained a lot of things can come up once it's cleaned up like wiring and structural issues. Obviously these would be added costs but I was informed by Don, who was amazing and worked like a supervisor along with all the crew, every step of the way if they saw anything that was a concern! I could never say enough GOOD THINGS ABOUT DON!!! He always kept me informed what they were doing, when they would be here and he always made sure they were not interrupting my daily activities! He always kept Ryan in touch of what was going on and then Ryan would call or text me too to make sure I knew what was going on! I tell you, THESE GUYS ARE ON IT and SO EASY TO WORK WITH!!! They also had to keep in touch with my heating/air Co, the insulation Co and my roofers because they had to cut holes in my roof to take out all the old insulation and ducting so we could put in the new stuff! Ryan suggested putting together a group text with everyone's numbers so that EVERYONE KNEW WHAT WAS GOING ON AND WHEN, IT KEPT THE PROJECT RUNNING SMOOTHLY AND ON TIME ​The entire project only took 1 month but it felt like it was just a couple of weeks because everyone was so efficient and fortunately there were no unforseen issues I could go on forever about SCI - Simons Const, Ryan, Don and the wonderful crew but all you really need to know is THEY ARE THE BEST at least from my experience in every way!!!
