Sadly, it was the Corona virus and my need for fabric to make masks ( to donate ) which finally introduced me to this sweet lady and her successful shop. The place is wall to wall with quality quilting grade fabrics and associated trims and products. She is so helpful and energetic. The ladies shopping seemed very engaged and interactive with her and finding lots in her store as well. I found everything I needed for sure. Lots and lots of beautiful fabric. (See my photos.) Fabric from Moda and other high-quality manufacturers. Fat quarter bundles are made up and ready to grab for projects. They come with free quilt patterns put together by the store. The really special thing about this store is all the ribbon and trim. There are hair bows already made up and for sale, or you can buy some of the ribbons and make your own. Bring your little girl here and she'll pick out something beautiful to tie back her hair. Be sure to see my photos, and check out the little snap purses made from the Offray ombre ribbon roses. Julie and her staff are truly amazing. I went in with a large stack of Hard Rock Café T-shirts from around the world and no ideas on what to do with them all other than having them made into a quilt - not even imaging how amazing and wonderful they would turn out. (Actually, ended up having enough to have two made - one US cities and the other for all my international HR stores.). They started by providing me with wonderful ideas and design - and then to see the results - I was truly blown away. Speaking of overboard, when they say they have a boatload of fat quarters it's a literal rowboat of fat quarters! The people here are attentive and very helpful. And they have an excellent selection of blenders as well as panels. Plus some very cute kits. Their prices are on par with most other quilt shops. But that discount fabric makes it a great value. They had a good selection of fabric and sewing machines and sergers. Staff was helpful and friendly. When the new owners took over, I only went there once or twice. I wasn't impressed. They only offered one brand of machine and their fabric line wasn't as good either. Staff didn't appear as helpful. I don't know what they are like since they moved. I guess I should give them another try, but I don't go to Kalamazoo that often.
