I could write a novel about all the ways they are…read moreabove and beyond any level of service in Florida but I'll do my best to keep it shorter... but only slightly. How did I meet them? My neighbor had a pipe leak that they were working on and thought it might be best to check the neighboring units in case they were impacted (my HOA didn't tell me they did). Top Flight came over and tested and I had significant moisture. They were so empathetic to my situation and worked around my schedule to come in and set up fans. Their staff (Britney stands out) is ON TIME and COMMUNICATIVE (which no one is in Florida). They were clear with communication, patient when I was stressed and went above and beyond what they needed to in order to ensure my home was in good shape. They didn't just stop when their work was done. Jon spent hours on the phone with me guiding me on how to deal with insurance and even put me in touch with a phenomenal construction company who provides the same level of white glove service. Given how long fans had to be in my home the staff became family. I had a lot going on and was comfortable enough to leave my door unlocked so they could come and go as they needed since I knew they were going above and beyond for me. The Top Flight team became family. I always stocked the fridge for them and made sure they were hydrated... It's rare that you are said when a service team is done in your house but I actually missed seeing them every day. On top of how timely, polite and communicative they were they also were extremely careful in the home. They left everything cleaner than when they arrived and were just such a pleasure to be around. They always were optimistic and happy and made a stressful situation far more manageable. I know my neighbor and I still plan to do a BBQ with the staff because they just became that integrated in our lives. The owner, Mike, so over charged me that it really became unethical. $5,410 for equipment that was in place less than 48 hours. He charged $120 an hour, per man, for more hours than they were actually here. I have been told by 3 people in his business that the job should have cost no more than $2000. He required deposit before his men got here and payment when they loaded up to leave. I was told my first red flag was when he wouldn't deal with the insurance company. I had to pay him directly and then I had to bill insurance. The water only seeped into the adjacent bedroom about 5', I had mopped up most of the water on the tile in the laundry room. I was told that the 4 dehumidifiers and 7 fans he placed in this small space could have dried out my entire house! Since I had never experienced a flood situation, nor had a homeowners insurance claim, I was unaware of handling the situation. I now have a clear picture of what NOT to do.

I contacted Bernhardt after a short trip to Florida in July. Bernhardt had painted my neighbors home and it looked great so I got an estimate from them. My winter home was in dire need of a paint job and I knew going in that there would be some extras added on as paint was scrapped off and exposed years of neglect. After talking with Mark Fales and going over his process I hired Bernhardt for the job. When anything Extra came up Mark called or texted with pictures of needed repairs. Having experience myself in this type of restoration and work we decided together the next best plan of attack. I was 1200 miles away. He got everything finished and sent a complete video from start to finish. The place looked great. When we arrived in Florida the house was beautiful. I live out of state and scheduled the cleanup with PuroClean and then on the day that work was scheduled, after I flew down special, the owner, Mr. Castro, reneged on the deal even though his own person had estimated the job. Imagine if I had been the one to renege on our signed contract! Don't use them. Use Junkluggers instead. Compare my 5 star review of Junkluggers (of Broward West and Palm Beach South): I needed to use this company to clean up a condo in Delray. It was full of junk. They initially quoted me a price slightly higher than some other quotes, but then lowered their price to the same or even slightly lower than the others. I'm glad I chose them as the main contact, Diana, was very easy to work with, and the employees they used were very hard-working and extraordinarily pleasant to deal with. Kiah and Isaac the first two days were terrific and Pablo who replaced Isaac on the third morning was also. Whatever you do, don't use PuroClean. They quoted me a price that was originally lower than Junkluggers, then higher when Junkluggers lowered its price. But I decided to stay with PuroClean rather than save a mere $100. And then had a terrible experience with PuroClean, described above.
