Subsequently after a year of having California fair plan and arbitrarily and capriciously being charged an extra $300 this year by the fair plan I started to shop around again. Come to find out many insurance companies insure my area and farmers was lying to me... specifically .....Katherine and Denise were lying to me .....they were so greedy and anxious to get my pittance of a premium and their brokerage fee from said pittance .....that they misled me into the worst California insurance available.... A monopoly of insurance with no choice .....therefore putting me in to a category of insurance that is monopolized without freedom of choice and the ability to either have insurance or cancel it when they raise it $300 per year... I've since found out that my home is not in a red-lined area and many companies would insure it... but since having a small claim while having the garbage insurance..... no reputable company will have me for 5 years now...
