    Pumpkin washing station!
    Sarah P.

We has a GREAT time at this lovely farm. We were greeted in the parking lot by friendly staff, given the lay of the land. Pumpkin searching was fun and easy, reasonably priced. 8 year old loved the pumpkin washing station (what a great idea!). Had fun in the corn maze. There were 20 hidden numbers. We only found 9. Planning to return and find them all. Loved that this place had NO GIMICS. Felt like a real farm...not a fake amusement park. Definitely exactly what we were looking for.

$8 so much fun and beauty!

**WC** I am happy to…read morepop this cherry Yelp community! This girl is in a wheelchair so any opportunity I can get to wheel myself around a real Farmers Market and not be bombarded with thousands of angry people...YES PLEASE. Get there while it's new people! We even got there within an hour of closing and had a great time! I wished I had a few more business names to give you besides Missionary Chocolates but, alas, I don't and Bridgeport Village really seems to not really be promoting this a huge amount so I was unable to find a list of vendors. I only really saw about three actual farm stands with produce and two carried berries mostly. We did grab some of the best looking lettuce I have ever seen though. We also bought some of the most amazing sausages. One berry stand was a bit jacked up with a very angry woman shooing away children. Speaking of which...I am about to get on my soap box a minute to parents. Seriously, I love you...I do - you do something I myself just cannot do BUT, please feed your kids. These are kids riding brand new fancy bikes in their fancy clothing...CLEARLY you have the money to feed your children...there are some good places for that right around there...seriously... Because every time I would get remotely close to anything at all some psycho kid would cut me off asking for samples and then the vendor would help them...all of them. Honestly, besides us and the parents of these kids it was pretty slow so getting bum-rushed but kids on approach was a bit much. With that said, there were hand made soaps, baked goods, flower arrangements, jewelry and crafted goods. Also, I really wish we had look at the location before parking all the way in front of Marios - that area of the parking lot is always so crowded due to most of the restaurants being over there leaving the garage pretty free for parking. So I rolled myself and my husband walked at the way over since the market is located on the street inside the mall area in front of the parking garage every Tuesday night from 4-8pm. We are definitely going to try to start going regularly.

Yelp is a community of eaters and a resource on finding food…read more Tri-County Farm is a community of farmers and a resource for eaters finding u-pick and farm stand food. Over 6o family farms in Washington, Clackamas and Multnomah Countes have banded together to publicize what is in-season by month along with directions to their farms. This has been going on for many years, graduating from paper you could pick up at food coops to a website today. You can start your planning with their season guide: https://www.tricountyfarm.org/season_guide.php. Exact dates will vary with the weather in a given year. Then you can search by the food you want: meats, fruits, vegies, herbs, flowers and even children's activities: https://www.tricountyfarm.org/all_products.php. Or if you are out in the country looking for a farm stand you can use their map, then select a farm and see what hours they are scheduled to be open, and what farm goods they have: https://www.tricountyfarm.org/map.php They list children's activities like hay rides, pumpkin patches, corn mazes and petting zoos. Portland has a lovely and well developed farmer market system throughout the neighborhoods. Many local markets have local producer fairs like People's Coop and Zupans. And local markets are always glad to point out local products. We have regional wholesaler Organically Grown which is a huge farmers' produce coop. It was started by hippies in Eugene and 40 years later operates warehouses in Portland, Seattle and Spokane with annual sales of greater than $150 million. But if you want to visit the farm and buy direct, Tri County Farm is the Yelp of farms open to the public!

Psh, Portland farmers markets are too "big box" these days!…read more Lol, I kid. But if you do want a fantastic Farmers Market experience, you must head down to Wilsonville on Thursdays from 4-8 and check out the Wilsonville Farmers Market. There is live music all night long, a variety of farmers offering great produce, and awesome local shops and foodcarts eager to please. Not to mention, cooking demos as well! There are some really super awesome Market Volunteers to answer your questions or help carry your new goods to your car. For their opening, they were doing a raffle for free produce for the rest of the summer! (hint: I hear that may be happening next week too). So ya, you should check it out.

This is a nice little market - a mix of farmer's market and neighborhood market, with crafts / soap…read more/ jewelry as well as produce, food stalls, musicians, etc. It's also in a lovely little park. It looks smaller than it is at first - the park has a small pond, and a trail that goes around the pond; the stalls are spread all around the outside of the trail, so not all are visible from any one point of the market. The trail is paved, and wide, and not that long - it's easy to navigate the market and not too crowded. I was disconcerted at first - I wondered where the farmers were at this "farmer's market" - until I got to the part of the loop where they had all been clustered. Keeping like stalls together makes it easy to compare options and prices.

The best part about "Wednesdays in Willamette" is that it has a neighborhood street party vibe…read more Rather than stroll through the market and shop, it is integrated well with the shops and restaurants along Main Street so when the sun is shinning, the patios fill up and it is a fun place to hang. Changing the name from "farmer's market" to "street market" was a good one, since there really is a mix of vendors and it isn't dominated by produce. The challenging part about the market is that it feels a bit sparse compared to neighboring markets (Oregon City, Milwaukie, and Lake Oswego). It also snarls up traffic along Willamette Falls Drive on Wednesday evenings. The market has evolved over the past several years and they've tried different formats, including moving it to a different day of the week and a different venue. This is the back-where-it-all-started version of the market and I do like having a hump day event to look forward to in my 'hood during the summer. The market kicks off at 4:00p, but the beer/wine garden, hot food vendors (some booths, others are food carts), and live music start closer to 5:00p and wrap up at 8:00p. The best plan is to stop by one of the local restaurants for a HH cocktail early to get parking and grab a table then finish the evening with a stroll and some shopping. Pick up a fresh bouquet of flowers, farm fresh fruits and veggies, an ice cream from Scoop, or coffee from Transplant Coffee (serving Water Avenue coffee). The vendors may be limited, but they also have a nice selection. I am hoping that the market will continue to grow and thrive and add more vendors. They are doing a great job publicizing the market and including different special events (cake walk, rummage sale, etc.) and live music every week.
