Emma is very responsive, enthusiastic, detailed and creative, and helped us accomplish a fantastic wedding day.  Emma helped us identify creative ways to replan our wedding during COVID19, and was incredibly flexible as our plans changed multiple times. We ultimately were able to get married in a small ceremony at Starved Rock State Park in IL, and Emma went above and beyond and drove out there a few weeks before the wedding to scout out some beautiful spots for photos.  During our wedding day, we had photography services with Emma and videography services with her colleague Carlos. Their team helped us feel excited and confident throughout the whole wedding day. Emma's positivity and energy helped us have SO much fun during our photo sessions. Carlos was able to creatively capture video from the full day and we were so impressed by the sound and visual quality of the videos. Emma captured the colors, joy and essence of the day in her photos. Looking back at the photos and videos brings us and our families so much joy. Emma and Carlos sent us highlight photos and a highlight video in just a couple weeks (we paid extra for expedited delivery) , and then the full set of photos and the full video came to us a couple months later. I knew it would be hard to coordinate travel, meetings etc, due to the distance and I was certainly the bride that wanted to meet and get to know her vendors prior to booking them.   On the initial call, both Zainab and Aaqib were very kind and answered all of my questions regarding price, travel, different packages and hours and everything that would be included. I felt very comfortable moving forward with a team I hadn't met, only having seen their work on their website or social media accounts.   I knew I wanted to work with a company that was an expert South Asian weddings. In Pittsburgh, there aren't many (if any) photographers/videographers that focus or know the South Asian wedding traditions and photography was my husband and I's number one priority. Knowing that the Maha team has extensive experience and almost exclusively works on South Asian weddings made us feel even more comfortable in our decision to work with them.   Maha Studios included a free one hour engagement session if my husband and I visited Chicago prior to getting married. That didn't end up happening, BUT they were kind enough to drive to Pittsburgh the day before the wedding weekend and use that one hour to photograph my Mayoon event! They drove to the location, set everything up and took tons of amazing shots and video that were used in my wedding trailer.   Zainab, Aaqib and Raheel (associate videographer) worked with me the entire weekend (and suggested a few timeline changes, etc) to make sure everything went smoothly. I loved that they made time for both me AND my husband to get "getting ready" shots and made me feel comfortable in front of the camera (otherwise I am so awkward!). I asked them to focus on family members and after seeing the final photos and video, I can see that they definitely did.  They blended in and zipped around like crazy the entire weekend, while I was making sure they had food to eat and a comfortable hotel room!   Post wedding: WOW. JUST WOW. My husband and I are blown away by the photos that Zainab took and the trailer and final video that Aaqib and Raheel filmed. The photo quality is amazing, the photo album we received is beautiful, the trailer is perfect and the 3 hour long video has been playing nonstop. Aaqib responded to all of my requests on minor changes to the video on the same day and confirmed the changes were made. The follow up from everyone was incredible and I cannot wait to use Maha Studios again!

We wanted a photographer there to capture pictures of us and our children. As a result, we only needed a photographer for about an hour on a Saturday afternoon. I contacted Christopher via email on September 20 and explained our situation, and he said he was available for our October 20 date. Christopher sent us his contract via email. After that, I tried to contact him several times to follow up both via email and phone. I left several voicemail messages in the ensuing weeks, but he never returned any of the phone calls. Plus, time was running out to find someone new. Our wedding is in less than a week and Christopher is MIA. We can't find a replacement. Horrible! Thanks a lot Christopher! Maybe some day you will get around to reading these reviews and realize how badly you dropped the ball and let us down. If you couldn't do the job you set out to do, then you should have notified us ASAP so that we could make alternative arrangements.

To be honest, the photographer was the only vendor I was picky about and as soon as I saw their wedding photography, I knew immediately that they had to be ours. I love the lighting and style of their work. They are incredibly talented and have an eye for what makes a good photo. I loved how their documentary style gave us a full story of that day. If that wasn't enough, Mark and Magda are incredibly kind and will put their whole heart into your day. They were present and attentive the whole time. When the events of the day were underway I didn't even notice them buzzing around snapping photos. They were also responsive before and after the wedding and worked well with our wedding planner when it came to scheduling, etc. We received the photos within a couple weeks of the wedding. They also helped us select photos for a leather-bound book (honestly, they did most of the selecting/formatting themselves which was wonderful - I'm a hands-off kind of bride). I've told Mark and Magda I want them to be our family photographer forever! I'm just so in love with their work and I don't want our wedding to be the last time we work with them. I can't recommend them enough and they'll be worth every single dollar you spend on them (something pretty uncommon in the wedding industry!!)

After we signed the contract with him, Mark was great about keeping in touch over the months leading up to the wedding to get all the specifics of the day and to check in to see if I had any questions. He always made himself available via email or phone if I needed advice for how to best set up our schedule for the day or even if I had silly freak out questions about worst-case weather scenarios (which he always put me at ease about). I really appreciated that Mark & Madga took a day ahead of time to scope out our church and reception venue. I told him it was very important that we incorporate the outdoors as much as we could, and he made sure to find some great potential locations for photos. On the day of, Mark and Magda were able to coordinate perfectly to ensure that both my husband and I would have pictures of us getting ready with our bridal parties. They went out of their way to convince an owner of a private barn to let us take pictures on his property and I couldn't help but really get into the photo session as Mark was so excited about the location and the light filtering into the barn. The photos from our cocktail hour were such a pleasant surprise to look at after the wedding as I barely even noticed them mingling in the groups to snag some amazing candid photos of all our friends and family.
