Hot yoga action! Can't wait for the remodel. So happy to have yoga in the neighborhood. Great energy, great classes, great teachers.

Ask the Community - Fever Yoga Cycle Strength

My husband has (reluctantly) agreed to TRY a yoga class. Neither of us have much experience practicing yoga positions, so what can I tell him we might expect in terms of going for the first time as a couple?

Hey Kelli, great question! You can expect to move your body in new ways and shapes. Definitely look for a gentle, or Slow Flow class that will ease you into shapes mindfully. We incorporate guidance into every pose (versus just calling out the names…

Review Highlights - Fever Yoga Cycle Strength

We both tried yoga for the very first time at a different studio (not Yoga Fever), it was very overwhelming.

I'm actually pretty impressed with this gym. I called ahead of time to see if I could pay for a one…read moretime use. I expected for a day pass to pay $5-10 maybe because of where I'm from. It was $30! I could get a whole month membership near home for that! Here you're looking at a cool $100+ per month. Whew! BUT... seems like you get your money's worth. You have access to personal trainers, not sure if there's an extra fee. I saw one working with a couple guys and she was not routine trained planet fitness "trainer"! She was dedicated to them and pushed them to do more while having them do strength training exercises that were definitely not scripted. She seemed like the real deal. The gym has classes in cycling, cardio aerobics, yoga and more. As a member you get access to those at no extra fee. The gym is 3 floors with a host of cardio and strength training equipment sure to meet all you needs. Oh they have a turf room too. That was pretty sweet. Then to end your workout you go to the locker room and honestly I've only seen something this fancy in the movies. You got a sauna, clean bath towels, wood faced lockers, a warm carpeted floor, showers, bathrooms, hairdryers in front of private vanities with hair gel and lotion. I mean common!! It nice. Anywho it was clean, the ambiance is right, the staff are amazing so this location is getting 5 stars.

Which is more than the average small gym in the U.S. of A. Music is typically low-key...unless you happen to be on the upper floor during their bootcamp/class time. This gym is clean, staff is kind, and parking is metered unless you stop in after meter hours. This includes the weekend.

I came here recently for a community class by a recent graduate of their yoga teaching course. The…read moreclass was relaxing and easy to follow even for a beginner like me. This yoga studio is in East Grand Rapids where there is plentiful parking, either in Gaslight village shops, along the street or in the parking deck close by - and apparently they validate parking. The studio is warm and inviting with large windows on two walls. The people there were welcoming and I do plan to continue attending their community classes and will likely come for other yoga classes.

My local Zen getaway…read more Great location in EGR with free parking lot. I love the decor with the Sanskrit on the walls, ambient lighting and little accents here and there, feels like I'm in India haha Great amenities too, cushions, blankets, straps, yoga blocks all free to use. They also sell really cool yoga clothes and great gifts from local artisans and have fun events. If you join their Facebook page you can get deals and discounts! Seva welcomes a diverse demographic and is not a "scene" like some yoga places, I have practiced with male, female, young, old, and sometimes they have had cats there, I was pregnant at the time and gave it a miss, but next time this crazy cat lady will go to one of those! Melissa, the owner, is an exceptional yogi, very warm and authentic in her practice which I don't find in many yoga places. She also gives back alot in the community from free classes on the Blue Bridge during the summer to partnering with many local vendors. What a nice person and role model :). Although, I mainly go to her classes, she also has a great yogi team who teach at Seva. In summary, I love Seva Yoga, and I think you will too. Be sure to try in out. Namaste.
