Then our next visit was the extraction itself. The first day was rough - my son was in a lot of pain - and I had gone through this about 13 years ago as an adult and I remember that pain! But after the first day, he was doing much better. I would say by day 8 all swelling and pain was completely gone and he could eat normal again. We needed no phone calls or follow up visits. It was very simple start to finish, and I am glad we got this out of the way so he doesn't have to worry about it as an adult the way I did.

Yeah, they could update their office a bit - but if it works, it works. My issue is that, upon returning, I've had a newer dentist that doesn't have bedside manner. Very gruff, short and to the point, and not really explanatory. I can be alright with that if you're competent and good at your job. But, in the times I've been, it seems like he goes out of his way to activate my gag reflex. Yes, I have one and I warn people about it - but if you're in my mouth and then just start wriggling around, of course I'm going to gag. What was the reason for you to start doing that? And, if there is a reason, let me know - part of a gag reflex is a control thing. Also, if I've just gagged, don't ask if you can try again 10 seconds later - there's a process to gain composure and it takes time. I've worked with a bunch of dentists. The best ones operate on a consent model - "I'm going to do this now, okay?" is a very clear and powerful question. It makes the process easier and it is communicative. The hygienists here are usually pretty good. Friendly and probably trying to make up for the fact that they have someone who doesn't relate to patients well. Cleanings have been generally pretty good for me in the past few years. Quick, easy, and I'm out. I miss Dr. Burgler! Lastly, I sent in a payment a month ago yet got a reminder bill for the same payment. I'm pretty sure it's their office not processing the payment quick enough - not me having never sent a payment. So, how about a chill?

That's when I left. You can tell they are all about the money and if you don't look like you have it or are from Williamsville, they waste your time and courage because I hate going to the dentist in the first place. I should have knew better after reading his reviews. Bruce was at the front desk on his cell phone being obnoxious with his loud tone we heard his whole conversation about politics and degrading Trump. I felt like I was in the twilight zone! I called TrueSmiles Dental and informed them that I've been having a horrible TMJ flare up for a month and was in search of a new dentist. I was able to get a new patient appointment within 2 weeks. I was incredibly nervous and anxious as I feared I cracked some teeth from my flare up. I had several x-rays taken it and a thorough cleaning done. Dr. Masoud was so kind and thoughtful. She examined my jaw and checked my teeth for signs of grinding. I've complained of TMJ pain to my past dentist and they never addressed the issue. However, Dr. Masoud prescribed me some medicine and suggested a mouth guard and injections. I really cannot thank her enough for looking at both my teeth and jaw. BiteWing x-rays and apparently novacaine. They were cool with the x rays and just did panorama. The novacaine was to be used for numbing the tooth pre-filling. After four injections in various parts of my yap whereas my ear and forehead are numb, my lovely lady dentist tried and unsuccessfully could not do what she set out to. She prevailed and got me part of the way to normalcy with a temporary filling. She did indeed concede and suggested an oral surgeon for the remainder part of my procedure. I cannot tell you how long we, dentist, oral /dental hygenist and I, sat and waited for various injections to take effect. They did to a limited effect however not to what she had hoped to achieve. The novocaine will never work for me however the kindness and understanding that I was shown today will last a lifetime.
