I have been coming here for a year or two with my dog and we both could not be happier!! My dog is really energetic so being able to take her here is a godsend. I was excited to walk my lab/collie Starbuck from Hill and Memorial to this park so that he could spend some long-delayed quality time running around with other doggies. We were met at the entrance by a membership registration table that was quite frankly unhelpful. We learned that were were expected to have proof of vaccination (vet records) on hand, and fill out registration paperwork (the stapled corner suggested at least two or more pages), that we could not take home with us to fill out and was not available online (it's 2019, what gives?). Two stars because the park looks nice (from the other side of the fence), but the lack of a sufficient system to complete the required registration from home, something that even the most basic kennel has nowadays, is absurd. read more

Fetch Park fails to tell you that you need an additional immunization before entering, not just the ones required on the website. You need LEPTO, along with their websites additional immunization requirements. They told us this as we arrived and turned us away after we drove 45 minutes to get there. What was once a loved local spot has lost all it's charm. This used to be a great community and environment. Not sure if management changed or they sold out and went corporate, but back to public and free parks I go. We love Fetch Park and we're pretty certain our dog loves it too! They have the proper regulations and processes in place to make this a safe and fun environment for all. We've tried going to public dog parks and it's just not the same! Here's why we love Fetch (and where it can improve): Thoughts and Recommendations: - Dogs need to be up to date with ALL their vaccinations! No way around it. They also need to be spayed and neutered. There's so much peace of mind knowing all the pups are safe from diseases and can't go around making babies. - Price is reasonable! $10 per dog and free for hoomans. Parking is also free but good luck finding a spot! There is a parking lot but it fills up quickly so you're left to parking on the street. - Clean facilities! There are Bark Rangers (park staff) that watch out for dog poop and clean up. Now,cleaning up after your dog is ALWAYS your responsibility. This is your child. But it's tough to keep track of your dog in a busy packed place so it's nice that Fetch makes cleanliness a priority. - So busy on the weekends! We've only been to Fetch on the weekends and man... it's packed. I have found time slots where it does slow down... 1. On a cloudy or even rainy ish day. People get lazy when the sun isn't out or even when it's been raining. This is the PERFECT day to go to Fetch. Parking is easier and there's plenty of room for your dog to run around. 2. 11AM- 1PM. This is a sweet window on the weekends because dog owners bring their dog here first thing in the morning and then go about their day. Then around 1PM the dog owners that like to sleep-in (or Brunch) will find their way to the dog park and it'll get busy again. 3. Sunset! People either have plans to go out on a weekend night or simply just don't want to be out when it gets dark. Sunset and early evening is the perfect time to come to Fetch, enjoy a drink without the madness of a full park. Fetch does need to urgently improve the music selection! Goodness gracious their playlist is awful!! Who listens to Avril Lavigne and early 2000s music?! Worst customer service I've ever encountered. The idea is the only thing that keeps them in business. There is an overwhelming smell of dog urine the second you walk in. You can tell they don't care about maintaining the place and keeping the guests happy. The employees are arrogant and rude with horrible attitudes. The place is great if no ones there but on the weekend it's slammed with not enough bar to service everyone there. It's also extremely hot with no shade. Worst dog park bar I've been to by far. This place is awesome! You can tell that they really care about the dogs and people. I love the fact that they have required vaccinations!! It really puts my mind at ease knowing that all the dogs are up to date on their vaccinations. Plus, not to mention the wonderful staff who watch over the park. I compared my dogs vet records to my friends and we both had the same vaccines listed. The bordetella, rabies, and DA2PP. My friend and her dog were allowed in but my dog and I were not. I have been to fetch plenty of times, and I would say my past visit was my last. My puppy (a golden retriever, mind you) has been to the park plenty of times starting at the age of 4 months and has never once gotten into trouble. Incredibly socialized and gets along with pretty much any dog (and cat). An incident occurred where a pitbull puppy very clearly and aggressively approached my puppy and attacked him. My puppy (naturally) tried to fight back as it was attacked. The bark rangers, instead of addressing the issue at hand, stated that it was my puppy's fault because he continued to defend himself. The bark ranger smirked and told me that my puppy would be getting a strike. I informed them that the other pup clearly instigated and started the fight, but was instantly shot down. I then asked them to look through their camera footage prior to making an accusation, which caused the bark ranger to be irritated and walk off. The other pup, mind you, was a first time visitor. There was a clear economic incentive for the park to keep a fresh puppy. To top things off, a bark ranger told me I let the fight continue for 3 to 4 minutes. First off, what kind of dog owner would let that happen? Second, what are you doing as a bark ranger if you watched a fight that you thought lasted for 3 to 4 minutes. I corrected her and said it was about 3 to 4 seconds. No point exaggerating. I guess my pup's almost 8 months and I won't be neutering him for a while, so I wouldn't be going much. To make the incident even more interesting, I forgot my pup's water bottle in the park and went back to retrieve it. My pup was already in my car. I was told I couldn't come back, even though I clearly did not have my puppy on me. I guess fetch also gives strikes to humans. After coming back home, I found a bite/cut on my puppy's chin. Mostly good but I have a serious question: Is the music a conscious choice? Or is it picked by the slackers (no offense!) working the coffee bar? Or what? I'd like to offer a thought and then a suggestion: Thought: Is music necessary at all? The sound of dogs scampering around all on their own is rather pleasant. Suggestion: If ... IF ... again I say IF you MUST play music there are many, many styles and genres that literally appeal to, or at least don't offend, EVERYONE. Example: whiny 90s shoe gazing drone music by narcissistic non-contributing zeros NOT loved by everyone. Classic rock loved by everyone! Gansta Rap NOT loved by everyone. Even hipsters! I've been to FETCH twice and both times was driven out by the horrific (IMO) and overly-loud music and it definitely gives me pause about going back. Update: I got a call from management which was just the same combative employee in the dog park the 2nd day I went. She began lying about my dogs behavior and labeling him aggressive all to avoid refunding me. She said I could not receive a refund because I knowingly brought my aggressive dog to the park after signing a waiver that he was not aggressive. It's so interesting because he's never had an issue at the shelter he came from where he was kept with other dogs, never had an issue at the dog parks, or at doggie daycare. Maybe Fetch just has bad vibes. Who knows. Original Review: I really wish I would've taken more time to read the negative reviews about this place because Wow! If you don't have a lot of time to read my review just know these things prior to going: - employees and management are TERRIBLE (With the exception of one employee) - They don't want any black people there which is why you won't see more than 1 or 2 on your visits. We are not welcomed nor are we treated fairly (I think it ruins their hipster aesthetic) - they are not a fan of shelter dogs! I cannot emphasize this enough, I spoke with several other patrons who acknowledged that they have seen biased treatment first hand. They really only want to cater to beautiful and fluffy show dogs which is definitely apparent at the park but if you want to save yourself the money just look at the dogs on the social media account. In more detail: I went to Fetch twice and after 5 minutes on day 1 my dog looked like he was having the time of his life so I purchased the 1 month membership, BIG MISTAKE. The first two hours of day 1 were honestly really great, there was a very kind male employee who was extremely knowledgeable about dogs and it was apparent that he genuinely liked all dogs. Sadly, an off duty employee named Eliza brought her personal dog who continued to pick on my dog until he reacted. The off duty employee then proceeded to aggressively snatch my dog off his feet by his harness and yell at him. My dog is very sweet and extremely submissive but proceeded to growl at her because he came from an abusive home before I adopted him. Eliza then speaks to me in an abrasive tone saying my dog growled at her but I mean if I was my dog I would have bit her hand off because you don't treat any animal in that way especially if he was defending himself from YOUR dog and you should not be working with animals if you think that kind of treatment is okay. When she snatched my dog he did not actively have his teeth on the other dog he simply snapped at him because he was being cornered and picked on, so why not snatch your own personal dog and remove him from the situation? After the male employee spoke with Eliza about her actions she left the park but did not take the time to issue me an apology for the mistreatment of my dog. Other patrons of the park even approached me and said they saw what happened and agreed it was hard to watch. On day 2 the lovely Eliza returns with her ill behaved canine who immediately bites my dog in the neck to which my dog responds with a warning growl and her dog bites him again. The dogs start to fight and she immediately grabs her dog and yells at my dog even though it is clear that her dog is the aggressor. The manager who is close friends with Eliza then approaches me and says my dog needs training instead of taking any accountability for her employee or her employee's pet. At this point it is clear to me that the two women are ganging up on me and I'm lead to believe it is because I was one of 2 black people in the park and my dog is not a pedigree pup. Don't be fooled, the park is in Edgewood but it's not meant for people of color. Definitely head to some of the free parks, my dog and I always go and have the best time. We've stayed for hours at a time and he has NEVER had any altercation with another dog at any other park. I'd also like to add that my dog regularly attends doggie day care and staff have spoken so highly of his social skills and he has NEVER had any scuffle at daycare. read more

I literally can't say enough good things about this dog park. The drinks are super creative, the dogs are monitored closely by the bark rangers, and there are always activities going on - live music, trivia, and/or community events. You can keep up with everything easily their social media. The only thing I suggest is bringing in food trucks!! Word on the street is that a restaurant is going to open up in connection with the dog park...but I really hope that's not the case because food trucks would be so much more diverse and really keep up the laid back vibe. read more

Several issues in my last couple visits. The past two times I've been here, I've been denied access. I trust my Veterinary more than a dog park, so when this dog park is telling me my dog needs vaccines, that's not okay in my book. My vet recommended not giving my dog lepto, and even with that vet note I was denied access, even though I've been allowed in several times before without her receiving lepto. I will never be back, not only because my dog isn't allowed in, but because this "dog park" is a waste of money, and the rules are way too strict. read more

Awesome place for both humans and dogs! My husky, Maverick and I have been going consistently for over a year now. Big shout out to the staff, especially Drew, who has been a massive help to both me and Mav. Mav loves Fetch so much that he started getting into the habit of snipping at me when trying to leave. Drew, a true dog whisperer, was able to quickly subdue Maverick and remind him who the "alpha" was in the relationship. Drew has been so much of a help that he has offered to do some training with Maverick going forward which we plan to do. Overall, I highly recommend Fetch. read more

There are parts of Fetch I love and parts I hate. Loves - It's clean and safe. And there are drinks! And, best of all, tubs for the dogs to soak in. Hates - There is no shade, and unless you go at an off time there will be TONS of people. And by people I mean millennials. It's very "sceney," which is a weird way to describe a dog park. I'm going to preface this review by stating that I want this business to succeed. I lived in Old 4th Ward before it was cool, and I'm pleased to see businesses helping to revitalize the neighborhoods around the Beltline. That being said, the Boulevard corridor is by no means the epitome of safety and tranquility; it's still in the process of regentrification, and businesses hoping to succeed will need to entice those who may not otherwise live in or frequent the neighborhood. I was therefore surprised, and extremely disappointed, with my first visit to Fetch on Sunday, August 5th. I was watching a friend's Chow Chow, whom I've routinely taken care of on countless occasions over the past 4 years. I've taken her to many dog parks - all without incident. So I was excited to try Fetch. After researching it online, I made a special trip to the vet to get her most recent vaccination transcript. We then headed to Fetch around 6:30 in the evening. We were greeted by a nice gentleman at the gate, who assisted with check-in and directed me to pay inside. I purchased a day pass because I wanted to try the place before committing. In retrospect, I'm glad I did, as everything went downhill from there. I entered with the dog still leashed, and shortly thereafter, at least a half dozen dogs swarmed us. This isn't cataclysmic at a dog park. However, several of the dogs were larger, and this, coupled with a thunder strike from an impending storm, caused my dog to anxiously react. She pulled out of her collar - which was unknowingly loose since she was groomed earlier that afternoon - and the pack of dogs pursued her. I could tell she was scared, so I got down to calm her; meanwhile, other dog owners calmly came over and ushered their dogs away. I then made the conscientious decision to put her back on the leash until she was acclimated to the surroundings. She's well socialized, but this was a series of spontaneous events that elicited an unfortunate, but manageable, response. I then got a drink from the bartender, who was pleasant, and I started chatting with friends. I had been on the premises less than 10 minutes when a man, whom I was later told was the owner, gruffly approached me and said, "Why is your dog on a leash?" I politely responded that I wasn't aware there was a rule that leashes weren't allowed. He then curtly responded with, "You signed a form when you came in here agreeing that your dog was social and not aggressive." I responded that she was social and not aggressive, but was anxious since it was her first time there. As I was about to explain further, he said, "This is the dog's first time at a dog park!?" I then indicated that she had been to many dog parks, but this was her first time at this park and she was a bit anxious. He then replied that leashed dogs are not allowed. I then calmly responded, "I'll guess we'll leave then." At this point, the owner could have taken several actions to rectify things - some viable options could have included apologizing, offering a refund, or offering another compromise to allow the dog to acclimate instead of abruptly leaving. Instead, he bizarrely said, "OK" and walked away. At this point, everyone in the near vicinity was in disbelief, and several patrons apologized for his behavior. I don't know if he was just having a bad day, or if this is his first business venture dealing directly with customers and there's still a learning curve. Regardless, everyone who witnessed the matter agreed that he was unprofessional and aggressive. I began to leave, but several friends encouraged us to stay. By this point, the dog was acclimated, so I unleashed her and opted to just move on from the incident. We then stayed there for an hour, during which time she did absolutely fine. Ironically, there were several minor spats between dogs during this time, which is to be expected at a dog park - but none involving my dog. As I was leaving, I was hoping the owner would make some effort to rectify the situation. Again, he could have mustered up pretty much anything - perhaps apologizing for the misunderstanding, stating he was glad to see the dog acclimated and enjoying herself, or mentioning that he'd hope we'd return. But alas, he did absolutely nothing. We left, and unfortunately, we'll never be back. Not because the facilities weren't impressive, but because the ownership was wholly unprofessional, flagrantly inept, and sorely lacking rudimentary customer service skills. I wasn't expecting a Kumbaya moment, but some semblance of civilized discourse and basic professional decency would have sufficed. In the end, I think Bill Gates said it best: "Your most unhappy customers are your greatest source of learning." Judging by existing reviews, I appear to be among Fetch's first of hopefully few unhappy customers. That being said, I sincerely hope the ownership learns from this whole fiasco. They should know better and can do better. read more

I've been taking my dog to Fetch now for 4 years, since he was a puppy. A few negative experiences recently have prompted me to post this review as I wasn't able to get in touch with management nor does Fetch have a phone number to connect me to a general manager to provide feedback. My hope for this post is simply to have my feedback taken into consideration or to help others avoid the same experience. I was there on a Sunday with a large group of people. They recently introduced tennis balls to the mix (hadn't been there until a few months ago to my knowledge) and my dog, being an animal with animal tendencies, can sometimes resource guard. I'm aware of it, so when he gets hooked on a ball, I am hyper vigilant and will remove him from the scenario and get rid of the ball. 99% of the time he loses interest but on Sunday, he snapped at a dog. I jumped in immediately, he responded to my disciplining him, and the altercation was over in 5 seconds. The owner of the other dog attempted to kick mine in an effort to break up the "fight" but fortunately I was able to intervene in time to avoid that. The owner of the other dog made a HUGE stink about the situation and asked that my dog and I be kicked out for the day (maybe 30 mins after I paid to get in initially). The owner of the dog also proceeded to milk the situation and ask for free drinks. To be clear, I am not justifying my dog's behavior. As I mentioned, I acknowledge that 1% of the time he can have resource guarding tendencies, but I hope Fetch can take this feedback and remove the resources/tennis balls from the park. I've seen countless other dog fights started over these balls, and I don't believe they are necessary to facilitate the dogs' play. I can't even imagine the liability if a child was throwing a tennis ball and was accidentally injured by a dog- that's certainly something for the owners to consider. Nobody in their right mind would introduce treats or food into the park, so I can't understand why someone would condone the idea of tennis balls either. I'm not optimistic that management WANTS feedback on how to improve given the number of negative reviews on here + lack of phone number or email address on their website, but the lower level employees on site that day seemed to agree that these were some ridiculous circumstances with the other owner pitching such a fit and seemed receptive to my feedback about removing the balls. On other occasions at Fetch, we've been kicked out with no refund due to inclement weather and we've seen other fights occur with no repercussions and we have dealt with really poor customer service. My hope is that if Fetch claims "to go above and beyond when it comes to dog safety" they can take a moment to consider the safety of all the dogs involved and remove the tennis balls. read more

Awesome spot! We bought a full year membership our first day. Great facilities, staff and amenities. They have awesome events ALL of the time. The only thing that can be an issue is parking, but there's plenty of street parking within a few blocks if the lots are full! So glad the spot is successful and more of these will be popping up. read more

We have loved taking our dog here since August. The AstroTurf is great so that Scout doesn't come home dirty and the rangers make me feel at ease that I can enjoy coming here with friends and not focus all my attention on my dog. My friends without dogs even enjoy coming here. Gave Fetch 4 stores instead of 5 because the restaurant isn't open yet and there have been several times we've wanted to stay at the park to watch sports games all day and tried to bring food in with us or call food in and the owners told us we had to eat it in the parking lot. It certainly has limited the amount of time we can stay without being able to bring in food until the restaurant is open. There also is not enough seating. During the fall when football games were going on, it was very hot and tons of people were having to stand or sit on the turf. read more

I met up with a friend and our pups here and was really impressed. Our greyhound, Rigby, was attacked at a park and required stitches and surgery, so I've been REALLY hesitant to check out any more dog parks. Came at around 5pm on a Monday and the *only* thing I wish they had done differently was that instead of being checked in right at the entrance gate on Daniel Street, I had to walk Rigby on his leash to the other side along Boulevard to check in. I honestly don't blame them for not sitting out in this heat, it just made me nervous having other dogs run up to mine while he was leashed and they weren't (in my experience, it can make them feel trapped if they know they can't bolt when other dogs are running up to say hi). They have someone at the main entrance when it's busier, so I'll be sure to ask if guests are allowed to let their dogs off leash upon entering once they've registered. I bought a day pass just to check it out and am strongly considering a membership - the only thing holding me back is that I'm a helicopter parent and there are a few areas where line of sight is somewhat limited. I keep an eye on Rigby like a hawk, but he IS a long fast boi. The folks who work there are super friendly. You can park in the lot off Daniel Street or in the gravel lot facing Decatur Street as far as I can tell. Thankfully Atlanta has a lot of free street parking nearby anyway. The thing I really like about this park is they very, very clearly care about safety. I've been to too many dog parks that aren't monitored in any way whatsoever, and aggressive dogs return over and over again, and predictably a totally preventable incident happens. There doesn't seem to be room for that mess here. This is a new establishment so I'll be really interested to see how it plays out. So far, I really like the vibe there. If you want to register for a membership, you have to provide vet records. So if you're wondering why a day pass which doesn't require vet records is $10 and a monthly membership according to their website is $25, it is likely to make it cost prohibitive to come every day without records and be an irresponsible pet owner. And either way, you have to sign in. If your dog attacks another dog, you are gonna have to find a new place to take your dog. Most dog parks rely on the honor system or the presence of shame to enforce that, and it's never reliable. Even if I end up being a scaredy cat and not getting a membership, I will definitely be back! It's a great place to unwind and I enjoyed just getting to see and pet other people's dogs. Ah, hell... My puppy and I are obsessed with this dog park only after one visit. I just recently moved to the area and after visiting different parks, I'm choosing to only bring her here. Many people are complaining about having to pay but you truly get what you pay for! The staff is amazing, the park is extremely clean (so no nightly bath after the park), comfortable sitting areas, tons of toys for your pup to play with, some shaded areas (plus they're adding more) and they have a bar. My favorite part is that every pup must have all their shots plus be spayed or neutered after a certain age. All dogs were constantly being watched by their owners and everyone was friendly. Certainly will be investing in the monthly membership and can't wait to see the growth of this park! read more

We've had to curtail our use of this park. The last few visits we encountered an aggressive pit bull who apparently belongs to one of the "rangers." Although she spends most of her time yelling at her dog and trying to restrain and train him, he is clearly a threat to the other dogs. It's ironic, because one of the main reasons people go to Fetch is the perception that it's safer than the public parks. I couldn't be happier that Fetch is open! We went for the first time with our dog on July 4th and I was so impressed. The facility was awesome with turf for the dogs to run, pools, and plenty of tennis balls and frisbees. I've seen some complaints about the entrance fee, but honestly I think that it's a great idea and helps to keep the facility updated and clean. I wonder if it also keeps some unresponsible dog owners out, which is why I don't go to places like Park Grounds or public dog parks anymore. All of the dogs at Fetch we're well behaved and there was no drama between dogs or owners! We will be coming back a lot. Fetch Park! Are you kidding me what an amazing concept. It's probably the best dog park I've ever been to. The park was clean and the Bark Rangers did a great job of keeping the peace so I don't have to worry about the safety of my dog. The bar had great local beer options and a friendly staff. The great atmosphere and ambiance convinced me to buy a membership. Other things I loved: WiFi, Local Coffee, Bath Station and on-site bathrooms for humans! read more

It's definitely for the humans to enjoy more than dogs. My boyfriend and I loved being able to get drinks and it's definitely a nice ambience for a date spot. My dog had just as much fun as any other free dog park. When we went, it didn't really seem like a lot of owners were paying attention to their dogs, which was fine because no dogs were misbehaving or being aggressive at the time. We played a lot with other people's dogs. The parking lot is small and people park in crazy directions. $10 is a little much for a drop in but I don't mind paying every once in a while because it is a nice spot to sit out and hang out. read more
