I kept checking online to see if the puppy I liked that day was still available and after a week or so went back to get him. The staff there were nice and helpful although once I paid they completely ignored me so I just left. Anyway I just read a review by Katie L. and my puppy had Giardia as well. When I called and asked for reimbursement on the medication my vet had to prescribe I was told it was a common thing and that my vet overcharged and they were not responsible for anything. I then went through all the medical records and saw their vet had treated him for it a couple weeks earlier and his last fecal showed it was gone. He ended up getting it an additional 2 more times since. They never told me he had had it or that other puppies there had been treated for it. I probably wouldn't have bought him if I had known that. Owen is now 11 months old and doesn't eat well at all. I've tried dozens of different dog foods and he refuses to eat any of them except one but he'll only eat that out of a treat dispenser. He doesn't even like human food. I'm guessing all the treatments have messed up his stomach and I'm afraid of the other long term effects this may have on his body. He was brought to NH from Tennessee so I'm wondering what kind of breeder he came from. No real info on parents either.

I also liked that the majority of their tanks (if not all, can't really remember) were community tanks, so you could see which colors and fish went well with one another - much more helpful than having to imagine for yourself when building out tanks. Most fish stores keep breeds separate. They have solid policies in place including a 7 day return policy on fish. They also ask you bring in water samples in the event a fish dies on you and WONT sell you new fish until you can provide quality water samples. This is a fantastic business practice in my opinion. They are also very helpful and love talking about the pets they sell. I will definitely be using them for my future tanks. (They also had very cute puppies)

They also act swiftly and responsibly. There was a small incident with one of my dogs at her last grooming appointment. The employees went into a totally different mode. They stopped the session, called me, met me at the vet, kept my baby with them, saw her through her treatment, paid for everything, comped the grooming, gave me a harness that wouldn't irritate the boo-boo, and are finishing her grooming (for free) as we speak. I don't hear much of that these days when I see reviews of any groomer; chain or private. They were completely transparent. I am completely confident in the Nashua crew and the Saugus VetCo crew who all take wonderful care of my girls.

Called ahead before doing anything asking for permission to surrender a couple of pleco fish and a dojo loach that working out for my community tank. They asked some competent questions about the fish so you know that they knew fish. Told me to bring them on in. I then went through the hour of work to prep a transport tank, catch the fish, and pack them into the truck along with my kids. Upon arrival I was immediately denied without any question from the girl in fish, who had in the past been helpful and nice. This time I got a totally different person. She was basically like (without saying exactly these words) fuck what anyone else said to me, they're wrong, I'm right, sorrynotsorry don't care who you spoke to. It was pretty disrespectful of my time or the fact that I was told to do this by anyone before I did it. Unfortunately I won't be coming here anymore. The lack of communication and respect is a dealbreaker. My kids wanted to buy some fish, but I told them no for those reasons and had to explain to them that I won't be buying things here anymore because of how I was handled. This family-run farm was one of my favorite experiences ever! They have 24 alpacas and several…read morechickens. Wendy was very kind and friendly: she greeted us, showed us around, talked about the alpacas, and her family's story. She also showed me how to pet the alpacas and she let us carry chickens, too. Afterwards, we met her mother, Pam, who helped get us the farm raised eggs ($3 dollars a dozen?) and chatted with us in their gift store. We will be back for sure, especially during the holidays-- to buy gifts and say hello to the animals!
