I got a small cup (which is actually a pretty big size cup/generous two scoops of whatever flavor you like) for under three bucks which was a great deal. I got the White Forest which I think was milk chocolate, cherries, and coconut shavings and the Cashew delight. Both flavors were packed with flavor and well created. The only thing that i was surprised with is that this, in my opinion, is NOT custard. It had the texture and taste of ice-cream. Custard is supposed to be smooth and less dense than ice-cream and the flavors I got here were not that. But it was still some of the best ice-cream that I have ever had though. Def. recommend going if you're ever in the area.

The beach is clean, has easy access from the car, there are public restrooms, and it is big enough for many people to share. There are picnic tables, but you may want to bring your own seats. I'd suggest beach umbrellas also if you want any type of shade. Since it is the sound side, there are no waves and it is 1-2' deep almost everywhere. Check out my pictures for how far out we were and we could have kept going. This was a really fun day, we brought inner tubes and did a lot of floating. People were also jet skiing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and sail boarding as well. The place is big so we never felt crowded at all. A+ day.

This year we decided to try something new and I have a feeling it's gonna be our new spot for the next few years to come. The sound is 1' to 3' deep so tip overs (if they were to happen) are not going to happen in deep waters. The kayaks are light - my wife nor I had any issues being the main paddler - we each had a kid in helping. We saw some fish, pelicans, and many sea gulls during our two hour rental. We dropped anchor (me holding onto the kayak) and got out and walked / played in the water midway as well. See my pics, this was a great time in the calm sound side waters. They close at 5pm most days so plan accordingly.

Rental rate for wave runner is slightly discounted if staying on camp site ($55 for half hour jet ski but can't go too far north/south of the sound) Stayed at camp site #7 which has a view of the sound. Strong wind coming in from ocean side so make sure you have something solid to prevent the tent from blowing in (I used coolers).

Plus, it's not super busy (one time I was the only one there, and the other there was only 5 others). I will add the warning that there is no AC, so it gets hot in there (doesn't bother me, but may bother others). Highly recommend this gym to anybody traveling in the area who wants to grab a workout.
