There was nobody there seeing it was only about 10 am but it looks like a neat place.

It's also gated so you don't have to worry about your child running out into the parking lot. They just redid the pad flooring making it safe to play. This has become such a favorite spot of ours that I keep an extra towel and my kiddos swimsuit in the car at all times because we'll literally stop in between errands. Totally recommend if you are looking for something "cool" to do this summer. PS adults are allowed to get wet too.

There are two playgrounds that are designed to give a play area to children of all ages. The covered pavilion has picnic benches and is located between the playgrounds and the splash pad which gives you the best view of the entire park while your kids run around. The jewel of this park is the splash pad. I recommend bringing chairs and blankets to sit on as there are not any right near this area. The bathrooms are located right next to this spot which is great for changing your kids in. I suggest wearing water shoes if your kids will be running in and out of here, there are many "stickers" all around. I hope the city continues to bring more to the East Side of Buda. There are communities here that have been ignored but are thriving!

The highlights of the dinosaur area are: Wheelchair-accessible ramps and platforms: Now, children in wheelchairs can smoothly roll onto platforms and access various play structures without hindrance. Sensory play equipment: These are especially beneficial for children with autism or sensory processing disorders. Elements like tactile panels, sound tubes, and visually stimulating components allow kids to engage multiple senses as they play. Low-impact ground materials: The rubberized surface ground materials have been chosen to cushion falls and facilitate easy movement for all kids. Shaded areas: Recognizing that some children might have medical conditions that make them sensitive to the sun, several sections of the playground offer ample shade. I love the pine trees and views from some of the trails. The campground is lovely as well. Very clean. Spaces are large. People are respectful. But... A big con is the traffic noise at night! We stayed in the Copperas Creek Camping Area, which is quite close to the road, so we expected some noise. But it was intense both noise. A loud, long crash woke me up in the middle of the night, with a second crash crashing into the debris from the first one. That whole incident kept me up for 2 hours. I don't know if the other campgrounds in the park are any better. The park is nestled in a populated area so I doubt it. But the trails and area are beautiful!! So I would definitely recommend for hiking!! Not so much tent camping... (maybe it's better in an RV?).

I came out here with a group- most of ours first time. We enjoyed the smell of the tall pines, some bridges and steps and switchbacks. The overviews left some to be desired as they overlooked the highway. Overall the park is clean and beautiful and we didn't see many people which made it better! I can't wait to go back and tackle the 8mi trail!

We visited the Garden and had lunch there while taking in all the unique and beautiful installations. The Alliance Children's Garden is pristine and appealing to all age ranges. We saw from small children to senior citizens in the garden. You can find a range of areas to interact in from swings to wooden structures to cave tunnel installations. Covered overhangs provide shade and welcomed seating. A blue honey comb looking structure is the focal point for the garden. This garden is super convenient to downtown Austin. Importantly, one downside of the garden was parking. With very limited parking, it made the garden less accessible.

Large space -- spread out. You've got climbing structures, slides, tunnels, swings. What I really loved was how they incorporated the playscapes into the terrain (e.g. slides and tunnels were built into hills). I also appreciated that they had activities for various ages -- my 3.5-year-old daughter enjoyed the complex climbing structure while my 1.5-year-old son liked the simple tree stump climbing structure. Splash pad nearby and ample green space to run around. Downtown is nearby so you've got a beautiful view of the skyscrapers. You've also got some less pleasant aspects. When we were parking, there was a disheveled looking man being arrested. No idea how much of a disturbance he created but the cops were taking care of it. There's a paid parking lot that fills up quickly. Terry Black's BBQ is right across the street if you got a good parking spot and want to snag some meat as well (their line moves fast).

Dinosaur Park in Cedar Creek is amazing!…read more I have a little one that is absolutely obsessed with dinosaurs and my social media algorithm has been sending me videos of this place for years, so I was very excited to finally check it out. They are located in Cedar Creek which is south east of Austin (about 20-30min drive from downtown Austin). When you arrive you get your tickets and give you a quick explanation of the trail. The trail with all the dinosaurs was amazing! They probably had about 30 something dinosaurs, mammals and reptiles around the trail. We did the walk in around 45min but we definitely did it at a higher pace since my kid was very excited and kept running from one dino to the next. I like that they had a small description for each one with some fun facts. They also had a couple smaller dinosaurs hidden around the trail and they also had smaller ones that you could take pictures with. At the end of the trail they also have a playground and an area where you can "excavate" for fossils. You can also rent a private area near the playground for birthday parties which I thought was really awesome. The store is huge and has a crazy selection of dinosaurs toys (probably the best I've ever seen). Overall, an amazing experience and I will definitely be back during my next trip to Austin!

As 2 adults in our mid 30s, we thoroughly enjoyed the length of the trail, as well as the detail in the sculpture quality, and the plaques along the way that provide historic descriptions of each exhibit. It's a fun place, though, is highly recommended bringing a child along as it would make the experience even better.
