The looks from the outside looked promising but very soon the honest behavior appeared. Is it my fault? I should have walked away, yes and no. As acting representation it is the Law Firms responsibility to perform 110% Clients should be their number one priority however time and time again "Money" was the focus. I had not received communication from my Attorney for quite sometime but calls and emails were coming in for money collection frequently. Things were submitted, movement went forward, minimal interaction to seem they cared but honestly I did not feel apart of a family. I would never recommend this Law Firm. Honesty and Truth is not here and I would highly recommend taking your case elsewhere. There is too much to write but just know the VA State Bar will be notified of the unethical and misconduct that I suffered one whole year. Improper representation, Improper evidence gathered/presented, evidence withheld, in house employmee repositioning while case was ongoing. This attorney walked over to Tori and I and stated this to us. So I dropped my protective order, believing my spouse had dropped hers. Within seconds, Tori was escorting me into the courtroom for a protective order trial against me, by my spouse. My spouses attorney had lied to my other attorney, and yes this other attorney has recently confirmed this to me. Tori should not have let me enter the courtroom. I didn't understand what was going on. Tori let my star witness come into the courtroom so she couldn't testify on my behalf. A two year protective order was placed on me. I was put out of my home made homeless with my son and 2 dogs. I'm still not divorced due to the noncompiance of my spouses attorney not responding to or delivering requested documents upon my attorneys request. Tori Zicker has destroyed my life, financially and emotionally. I fired her right after the trial. I questioned, on that day, if she truly is an attorney! I don't know if she is with Friedmans Law Firm now, But she was when I had hired her. If she isn't still at Friedmans Law Firm, beware if you come across her name at any other law firms. She's most incompetent and should have her license revolked. Having just realized what really happened that day, I am in the process of taking legal action against Tori Zicker for legal malpractice.

They're on the pricey side yet you sometimes have to pay for what you get. They aren't like tv and movie lawyers that do ALL the work for you. Sometimes you have to do some research to provide to them and that's ok. Remember that although they make you feel as if you're their main client, you aren't, lol. They will focus solely on you while working on your case, just remember they have other clients as well and it's helpful to them if you can provide as much intel as possible. I received a reckless driving - class 1 misdemeanor which is a serious criminal offense with potential penalties of 6 DMV points, a fine of $2,400, a jail sentence of 12 months, and a license suspension of up to 6 months. I was worried because I also had my very first speeding violation 2 years ago at another state while on a travel assignment. I am glad I found Mr. Leavitt who is professional and understands where I was coming from. Mr. Leavitt got Judge Bain (Brunswick General District Court) agreed to reduce my reckless driving 77/55 misdemeanor charge to a simple speeding violation (not reckless, not a misdemeanor).
