On top of this- I filed the soonest I could so there was plenty of time to get this completed on their end. The following year- my fees were still in my IRS account and ended up being taken out of my next tax return. They promised they'd still continue to work on this with the IRS and get those late fees back since it was their fault to begin with. However, after this promise I was completely ghosted. I would recommend going anywhere else if you expect your taxes to get done on time and with proper communication. I've had much better luck using TurboTax!

Since I was not sure what the IRS was questioning, I hired CB Accounting to review the IRS's letter, my tax 2023 tax return and let me know what corrections if any were needed. They said there was a small error in my 2023 return, that the error did not really change anything, I did not owe any taxes and all that was needed was for them to file an amended return which they did. Well, this year I got another letter from the IRS disallowing the amended return CB Accounting had filed and it listed taxes owed with interest and penalties added. I took the IRS letter I received this year to CB accounting to find out what was going on and what I should do, the person who had filed my amended return last year was gone and the person I had my appointment with this year never got back to me. I made a new appointment with the manager who had no idea of what had been done last year, I felt like I was trying to get a straight forward answer from a politician and ended up in a fruitless nonsensical discussion of he said she said that got me nowhere. Basically, I have made five 120-mile round trips to CB Accountings office and paid them hundreds of dollars to end up supposedly owing more money to the IRS than I did a year ago...not a happy experience to say the least, beware.

I only have extremely positive and complimentary comments to describe my recent experience with…read moreHeavenly Reminiscences. I can confidently highly recommend Heavenly Reminiscences for a great experience from beginning to end! From my first contact to obtain an estimate for the digital transfer to the final completion of the job, my experience was overwhelmingly positive, user friendly and excellent. My ongoing communications with John Kolb, owner of Heavenly Reminiscences, were always informative, detailed, upbeat and consistently productive. John provided an exact cost estimate of my very large digital transfer of 12 reels of 8mm films into the cloud. The oldest films were 75 years old, the youngest 55 years old. These irreplaceable family treasures were treated with the utmost consideration and respect by Heavenly Reminiscences staff. I was continually kept apprised of the progress of the transfer. Remarkably, despite the age of the films, 11 of the 12 reels were successfully transferred to the cloud with no significant technical issues. However, one reel presented immense challenges to make the transfer due to the very poor condition of the original 8 mm films. John and his staff made a concerted and determined effort to salvage as much of that film reel as possible. I was so impressed by the attention to detail, focus on task and exhaustive efforts Heavenly Reminiscences staff put forth on my films. I truly felt that John treated the films as if they were his own family's special and unique history. Prior to choosing Heavenly Reminiscences for a digital transfer job. I researched many companies advertising their transfer services. Some "charge by the foot of film " which would have made my transfer exorbitantly expensive due to the quantity of my 20 years worth of family home movies. Other companies had hidden or unexpected excessive costs which only became known at the time of final billing when the transfer task was completed. Lastly, some other companies had non-responsive or non-existent customer service. I communicated frequently with John during the entire transfer process. He was always responsive by email to my questions or requests for updates. He readily kept me up to date on the progress of the transfers. His prices are a flat, set rate for each reel, regardless of the length of film on a reel. His estimate will include any additional costs such as transfer to a thumb drive. Included in his price are addition of titles for each reel and return shipment to the customer of the original films following completion of the transfer job. So, the only upfront cost for the customer is the initial mailing shipment to Heavenly Reminiscences of the media to be transferred. Based on my research, Heavenly Reminiscences has the best prices for media transfers. The finished transfers are exceptional. I am amazed at the clarity, detail and overall quality of the images, even on films which are now 75 years old. What a fantastic job Heavenly Reminiscences did with my old 8mm films. Be assured, Heavenly Reminiscences will expertly and very competently handle any media transfer project you have! I HIGHLY recommend Heavenly Reminiscences for any media transfers. They are honest, very hard working, responsive and considerate. In the world we live in a company which takes their work seriously and has the customer always in mind is a true rarity. Heavenly Reminiscences is the best!! Ben Katzen

So when I decided to broaden my horizons I came to Kat to help me with the process. Unfortunately they were a nightmare to work with from the get go. The customer service was rude and impatient and quite honestly a bit incompetent. When they contacted me to inform that my website was completed, I was disappointed and understandably upset when the information they compiled wasn't even correct. The lay out was admittedly well done, however the details of what I do were left out and some things they had placed on the page were not even in the same category of construction I'm involved in. I'm not sure if it was a miscommunication or just lack of effort on their part but either way I was upset. When I pointed out the error and asked them to fix the mistake, they behaved as if it was my fault and wanted to charge me more to correct it. Overall my experience with Kat was not a good one, and left a bad taste in my mouth. If your looking for a company that's easy to work with and will provide you with a finished product your satisfied with, then I suggest looking elsewhere.
