It was clear to me that most of the items, particularly snacks, are from Eastern Europe. I was hoping to buy cookies from Italy, but they had few Italian sweets and no Italian cookies. PRICES, etc I only looked at snacks, but most of them looked reasonably priced. All items were clearly marked for price. The store is clean and well organized. RECOMMENDATION With the "right" expectations, this is an excellent store. If you're only looking for something from a Western European county, you may be a little disappointed. If you're looking for food from Eastern Europe countries, I'm sure you will be happy here. If I'm not mistaken, they also sell fresh bread. I'm thinking of returning soon for some nice bread. ************************************************************ If you found my review helpful, please smash the "useful" button! We scouted out every isle in amazement at so many items. I asked the proprietor about finding the type of Basmati Rice I have been served in Indian restaurants, that is incredibly long grained, and I have not found in local markets. He suggested one type he sold, and I bought a bag. He showed my wife a box mix for Palak Paneer, which intrigued her, and he helped her locate all the ingredients to make it at home. The rice came out perfect, and the dish was the best curry meal we have ever had. The products the market offer are top quality, and the helpful staff make experimenting with exotic cuisine, a task anyone can pursue with their most helpful guidance. We will return again and again in the future!

Both locations carry virtually identical merchandise (although see Point 2 below). There are a couple of things that are available at the Cordata location, not at the downtown location. 1. If you'd like to recycle batteries and light bulbs, you need to come here. The downtown location used to have recycling bins for them, but not anymore. 2. The Cordata location seems to have a larger selection of organic wine. In fact, they probably have most organic wines in town (although I have never done an official comparison). It's easy to spot organic wine (at both Co-op locations) since the price labels are green (see my photos). I highly recommend the Co-op. If you have not tried them, you owe yourself to give them a try! ***************************** If you found something useful in my review, please hit "useful" so that I can improve my reviews. I could immediately tell upon walking in that white guilt and a love for seitan was a prerequisite for shopping here. Shades of Zoey's "Free Earth Collective" grocery store in SBC's "The Dictator" come to mind. Nevertheless, I chose a selection of foods from the salad bar and the hot bar and brought them back to my hotel. -- I was pleasantly surprised at the quality -- very organic, very fresh, high quality foods. I would definitely consider this a great option for quick, healthy food if you're not too hot on cooking at home. Moderate checkout lines during rush hour -- don't expect rapid service - it's a co-op .......bring your patience. Definitely cool spot for organic groceries but a bit of a step down from Skagit Valley Food Co-op in Mt. Vernon. Good spot for food if you're in North Bellingham and you don't want to make the drive south to Whole Foods.

The store is jam packed with good stuff, random candies, drinks, and booze. All the necessities and non-necessities like cleaning supplies and junk toys to occupy the kids. They have a grocery section, with decent selection of pantry items and frozen foods. But lets talk about the fresh food they make. OMG the best fried stuff in town so far. Giant potato wedges, chicken tenders, and THE BEST SAMOSAS in town! (so far, they're only the second place I've tried samosas, but they're really good) The samosas are lightly spiced but still very aromatic, crispy on the outside, fluffy potato inside. Nicest people too... I came in on a Sat and they didn't have any samosas on the hot tray, but the man said, if you want to wait 5 mins I will fry a fresh one for you! So good and not greasy. Really well prepared food for a random street side marketplace. I borrowed this picture from google / their FB. Check them out. Menu is on the FB page: https://www.facebook.com/FortBellingham/
