I didn't need a root canal back seven years ago but now I do! I'm in pain and they were able to fit me in quite quickly. I was put on stand by per my request. I was seen within a week and Dr Javahari was my Endo. He did a wonderful job of keeping me at ease. I'm not afraid of root canals and I usually fall asleep when I have dental work. I was told they are a "paperless company," even though a printer was clearly present. I explained that I was not refusing care, only declining to submit my personal information electronically. The staff stated that management would not allow treatment unless I complied. No alternatives were offered. In an era of frequent healthcare data breaches and ransomware attacks, refusing to accommodate reasonable privacy requests is concerning. I ultimately left and found another provider who respected my preferences. Consider this before choosing this office especially if data privacy and patient-centered care matter to you. If management responds, I hope they address patient privacy concerns directly rather than offering a generic scripted response.
