My wife found this restaurant after researching interesting wineries and distilleries in the area. Good food and English spoken here, but please try a little francais as always, right? Great escape from the snowy day today!
The menu was approachable with plenty of local favorites like pig knuckles, fois gras and sausage, although today we missed the 8 Euro "Plat du jour" and opted for the delicious salad pictured above. The wine list also covered the local tastes, which can be ordered by the glass or bottle (priced from 3-5 Euro or 19-26 Euro respectively. We had a nice Muscat and Pinot Gris, recommended by Bibi. Small basket of bread came with the lunch, which was crusty and delicious.
Bibi spent time in Boston and mentioned to us that she traveled to Napa and Sonoma as evidenced by the wine labels and other souvenirs on the walls.
Take some time to visit this cozy, reasonably priced Alsatian restaurant about 12 miles west of Strasbourg, especially if you're looking for easy parking (they have about 15 spots along the rue) and personalized down-home Alsatian cuisine!
