It is a one bedroom apartment with a queen sized bed and a pull-out couch that is very comfortable for kids or another couple. All of the furniture is new and tasteful (mostly from IKEA). There is a spacious kitchen, complete with all the essential gear for cooking or baking. There is also a toaster, Italian Moka Pot (Espresso), Teapot, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, gas stove, oven and of course many (new) plates , bowls, utensils, wine glasses etc. The bathroom is clean and bright which includes sink, toilet and shower. One of the nicest features of the apartment is the small intimate terrace that seats two people and is fantastic for a romantic morning coffee or having a glass of wine at sunset . The apartment gets its' name "tra i tetti" or "among the rooftops" from the beautiful view of the Italian terra-cotta rooftops. The apartment is on the top floor so the view is quite nice. That being said, those with knee problems or who are not able to do stairs, this apartment may be problematic because the apartment is on the top floor of a building with no elevator. If you are here for the first time, the location of the apartment couldn't be more perfect. It's only 5 minutes from the central train station and easy to walk to. Plus you are right in the center of Florence! Being on the top floor there is very little noise once the windows are closed. There are no trash bins on this street so you won't be bothered by the noisy garbage collectors that come early in the morning. The apartment has all your basic needs ready upon check-in. All linen and towels are provided, as well as your basic condiments for cooking like oil, salt, sugar, coffee, tea and soap for dishes and laundry. Check in/out times are often flexible as well. Great place to call home for first time visitors or seasoned travelers of this beautiful city.

We found an attractive apartment (Pomona) through Windows that has the A/C and bath that she has to have. It also is at a super location, a stone's throw from Ponte Vecchio. We needed to buy exercise equipment for her that had to be delivered and set up before we arrived. We were able to order on-line and then everything almost fell through because of parking issues on our street. Barbara and Jennifer at Windows were super helpful in getting this problem worked out. They also arranged for an associate to shop for groceries for us before arrival. Naturally, there was an extra charge for his time but it was so helpful to have the apartment stocked when we moved in. Basically, their attitude throughout has been "how can we help?" One notation: Yes, the handoff when you arrive can be a source of problems -- and didn't work perfectly for us either. This happens with other companies as well -- not that it should. Our solution is to spend our first night at a hotel so that any move in glitches can be solved without distress the following day.

Me and my friend had a two-bedroom apartment with a full kitchen, completely stocked with dishes and any tools you'd need to cook a delicious Tuscan meal. The place was spotless, and the views of the countryside right out our windows were breathtaking. The view only gets better from the pool, which is up a level from where the house sits. I absolutely recommend renting a car if you're going to stay here, because the surrounding tourist attractions (Siena, Lucca, Florence, etc.) are all within a manageable drive, which makes Pistoia a great central location. There is a huge supermarket just about 2 miles away where you can get anything you need, and the town center has lots of great restaurants and shops if you want to stay close to home. The owners, Marco and Agatha, are extremely gracious hosts. Agatha speaks fluent English, so if you don't speak Italian, don't worry! They live on site with their adorable German Shepherd, Giada, so if you need anything they are always there to help. They gave us lots of great recommendations on activities we should do, and always came out to see how our day was when we returned at night. I can't say enough about this place, and I will be returning as soon as I can--it's truly a Tuscan paradise!
