For a community hardware store this fits the bill…read more I've stopped by here periodically to grab something small in lieu of going into town. They have a decent selection but not a whole lot of one category. Not long ago I needed a knife sharpener and the sharpener company listed everywhere in town that carried it including this hardware store. I wasn't about to drive the other side of town to save a few dollars so I mentioned my dilemma to the man behind their counter. He happened to not only have it in stock but took a dollar off for me. Now that's how ma & pa stores work because I've been a true customer ever since. Recently hookah pipes have replaced normal hardware items at the front counter and I really don't get it. Maybe there's some unknown way of converting it to a tool???

After our conversation about the machine not performing properly, Andrew turned the whole problem around and blamed me for his non performing machine. Andrew had no sympathy or care about my problem. I am 65 years old and the broken worn out machine cost me $86.27 from my social security check. Andrew's customer service was dry and non-existent. I need to warn Ocala of this small business. I will be going to Lowes for all my needs instead of supporting this small business called home hardware on 3446 East Silver Springs Blvd in the Publix shopping plaza. Fool me once, shame on me. There will not be a fool me twice.

I literally had no idea where I was so it seemed like "do I turn here?! Can it possibly be this far along this road!!? Where the heck am I!!?" but then there it was. It's a great little place very much with a country General Store vibe. It's an Ace so it's got a bit of everything and better quality goods generally than HD and/or Lowe's, but nowhere near the size. Very nice, helpful service. Now that I'm a bit more familiar with the area, I don't think it's any farther away than HD or Lowe's so for basic hardware items I think it's a neat place to go.

All of the windows I received were the wrong size but was told that they would put a rush on them and I would receive them within two weeks. That didn't happen. The next date was January 23rd but that has come and gone and no windows. They are great about calling and giving an 'update' but the update is always a procrastination, no firm information. My advice is if you want windows, do not go to Lowes. The installation company has been wonderful to work with, but unfortunately, they have no influence with Lowes.
