My husband and I ordered our custom draperies from Patrick two+ months ago (almost three), and as of today, and 4 trips later to our home, we still do not have all of our drapes hung (we only ordered drapes for two rooms). Unfortunately, during each visit something was missing or backordered. The latest issue is two of the panels that were too long when they were delivered the first time still have not been replaced. We have also had to wait for the correct rods and ends to be delivered as well. Although Patrick has been very nice to work with, this process has been very inconvenient for us. All along, my husband and I have been very understanding and patient, but at this point, we're not sure if we have the patience to go through this again. Hopefully, Patrick and Budget Blinds can make this right. It seems that most of the issues are distributor driven; however, we do not think that these issues have been addressed with as much urgency as we'd expect. Currently, we are paying for blinds that we don't fully have installed yet. Unfortunately, if asked today, I'm not sure that we could refer this company for draperies; perhaps blinds are a different story.

The designer was not detail oriented when it came to measurements and selection. I felt I had to handle the design myself and document my own measurements and selections. Responsiveness was sketchy at best. I had some damaged product which resulted in months of delays (not Mill Valleys fault) BUT they should have advised me to open ALL cabinet boxes and inspect thoroughly instead of only opening fronts. I was disappointed in the Candlelight product, but that's another story. If you want a company to handle all aspects of your kitchen remodel then this is NOT the place to go. You can save some money here (on cabinets) but in my experience the savings was not worth it.

We wanted a simple but very high quality look for a country stone farm house.. Mill Valley showed us white full inset shaker style cabinetry from two of its semi-custom brands. We chose one which was great but saved us $10,000 compared to the highest end line they carry. It was a very long process given everything we had to do and delays with our contractor. But they were very patient and went with us to other places to help pick everything out, even though they weren't selling us the flooring, and appliances. They were also very helpful with the counters, which they don't make either. We went to two different places and learned a lot about surfaces. Ultimately we went back to granite, and we learned you have to be picky because some granite is more beautiful and marbleized than others, and most folks get tired of moving slabs around so you can cherry pick their best stuff. I would definitely recommend Mill Valley if you want a very high end kitchen at a reasonable price.

I have given this business every opportunity to make things right on our installation. Immediately…read moreafter I posted my "wait and see how things go" review, I received a call and a credit for goodwill purposes. Great. But after that, it was downhill all the way. I tried for over a month working with both customer service and the installer to come inspect the flooring. Threshold incorrectly installed, scratch on the floor, inexpert caulking were the headline (but not the only) problems. Installer finally showed up, then took an age to "file a report" ( I had already provided pictures). There was no dispute about these complaints. But no amount of phone calls or emails could prompt faster action. It became my full time job to follow up. Even now, as I sit here, some 6 weeks after install, the "approval" has been issued by LL flooring to make corrections but I still can't get a date. My advice is to avoid the LL Flooring third party installers at all costs! LL likes to play this both ways--they seem to have control over the installers for some purposes but not others. Regardless, they either can't or won't effectively and efficiently resolve issues with the install.

I carried the rug in and had to wait awhile to be acknowledged so that wasn't a good start. The store looked to be a beautiful showroom with tons of beautiful rugs on display. A guy finally came over and offered to measure the rug for me. While he was doing that the manager approached so I explained that I needed the rug cleaned, but wanted an estimate because if the cost of cleaning was more than the value of the rug, I wouldn't have it cleaned. He totaled the cost according to the measurements and quoted me a number. I responded that I would just wait since the rug was less expensive than the cost to clean it. He then turned away from me, said, "Roll it up for her" to the worker and walked away. I yelled a thank you at him even though he was so rude. I think now even if I need a rug cleaned in the future, I will go somewhere else.
