We chose Mount Juliet Granite and Quartz for our Townhouse remodeling including kitchen countertop, backsplash, master bath, and second bath. They are a family operation working out of the industrial park area on Lebanon Road behind Enterprise Rent-A-Car Taylor Murcia handled the consulting on quartz selection at a Nashville showroom/warehouse, pricing, templating, and final installation. Freddy the owner handled the fabrication. Handyman and jack-of-all trades Randal Smith handled the plumbing de-install, carpentry, and faucet reconnect. They worked smoothly as a team including extended hours and weekends to get the job done. And cleaned up as they worked. We selected Calacatta River quartz (resembles high-end marble) for the kitchen with a single bowl stainless sink and Gemini non-porous quartz countertops for the baths with undermount porcelain sinks provided by Mount Juliet Granite and Quartz. Tip: Save $$$ and choose 2 cm (vs 3 cm) for bath countertops. See 3 pics

Not only was the price very reasonable, but if I had to use one word to describe Taylor, it would be "perfectionist." He was truly concerned that an 11' countertop was going to be less than a 1/2" off from one end to the other. He assured me he could fix it, but after looking at it w/ him, I honestly couldn't see it, and only after breaking out a measuring tape, was I able to see the difference! Also, when the supports were completed (incorrectly) by another vendor, he painstakingly corrected them to ensure it was perfect. Finally, we had a bbq party scheduled for the next day, so he was there well after 11p to finish up and ensure it was "perfect" and it absolutely was! I promise, you will not be disappointed with his service and level perfection for his finished product!

We ran into some unexpected complications with the install of our counters and backsplash yet,…read moredespite it all, we felt like we were in good hands. The first complication was due to weather. We just happened to have our install scheduled for the week that once in a decade snowfall came. Needless to say, this required some flexibility to see what dates would work to re-schedule us. Monica made sure, though, that we are always kept in the loop and that the project would go ahead with minimal disruption. The second complication was due to a computer glitch that caused the wrong backsplash pattern to get assigned to our project. Unfortunately this was only discovered after it had been completely installed. My wife and I felt so bad that all that material and labor was wasted but Brett, the owner, was more concerned that we got what we wanted so he did what was needed to make things right. We are now very pleased with how everything turned out. This didn't play out as we expected but we have a fun story to tell and a great kitchen to tell it to our friends in =D To sum it all up, not that we wished for these wrinkles but they did show us how the company would respond when things were less than ideal and I can say wholeheartedly that they do put the customer first and will make sure you are left very satisfied with the end product. A special shout out as well to Kevin who brought the showroom to us, enthusiastically answered all our questions, and did a great job selling us on his company without being too pushy. Bonus points for the great suggestions on what options would work best with the kitchen.

We used Builder Supply Source for our cabinets in a kitchen renovation project we just finished,…read moreand the cabinets turned out great. More than that? The cabinets we ended up with are extra custom. We wanted a more modern kitchen than I expect is very common in Nashville (several cabinetry companies our contractor typically works with could only give us Shaker cabinets, which isn't what we wanted), but Builder Supply Source had flat panel cabinets, which is the modern look we wanted. When they didn't have the exact stain color we wanted, they worked with us to create some samples based on some Pinterest/Houzz pictures I sent over. A few days after I sent the photos over, we had four samples at our house. We really liked three of them, narrowed it down to two, and finally picked one. I really appreciated that they were willing to work with us to get the color just right! We had a few little issues (one small panel of wood came slightly scratched up), but Builder Supply Source took care of everything. We worked with Will, who was great from our first meeting with him (we were in his office for about an hour talking about options and coming up with the best cabinet layout). And - at the end of the project - we're just in love with our cabinets (as well as with the hardware we ordered through Builder Supply Source). They were great to work with and the final product is exactly what we wanted. I don't think we would have ended up with the kitchen we had in our minds if it weren't for Builder Supply Source!

This company is a menace to the neighborhoods they work in. In 2024, BEC purchased and flipped the house next door to mine, and thus began one of the worst months-long experiences I've had in the home I've lived in for over a decade. The crews they contracted to work on their property were rude and inconsiderate, leaving their beer cans in my yard on more than one occasion, blocking our small residential street on both sides (making it difficult for me to leave my own driveway), and consistently working outside of the hours permitted by the local noise ordinance (causing a disturbance to me personally, who again lives right next door to this house). After one particularly frustrating incident where they parked their truck in their front yard and shined its high beams directly into MY living room window for over an hour, I called the BEC office and spoke with someone on the phone about these issues. They were apologetic and relayed the info to the site's project manager, who came out to speak to me directly. She even bought us pizza as a peace offering, which I appreciated and accepted in the hopes this would be the last of our problems. But then a week later, I came home from work in the middle of the day and found BEC's crew had run an extension cord from MY home's outside outlet to their power tools without my permission. I immediately called the PM, who did apologize again, but it was never resolved and nothing else happened as they wrapped construction the same week. I went back to compare my electricity bills over the last several years and found that my energy usage spiked for months with no other explanation, which means the utility theft was likely more than a one-off by a rogue crew member. Whether BEC directly knew or not, they should have better control of the crews they hire. Yelp's email alerting me that my review had been taken down stated "We typically remove reviews that don't focus on the reviewer's firsthand experiences as a customer of the business." So let me be very clear - this business stole from me personally, using my utilities without permission, and left their trash on my property. I am relaying my firsthand experience with their poor management and unethical business practices. If BEC continues to try taking down my honest review, I will only become more steadfast in my commitment in warning people against using this company.

I would caution working with Cabinet Express as they refused to accept responsibility for damage…read morethey caused and they displayed a great deal of negligence and unprofessionalism, leaving me to repair our cabinets out of pocket. Cabinet Express was our countertop subcontractor through Home Depot and they also disconnected our plumbing. When the installers disconnected the plumbing, they left the supply lines partially open and didn't leave the ends in a container, resulting in water seeping throughout our cabinets, saturating the wood in the base and leaving water marks on the wooden dividers. I put the ends in a bucket when I discovered this. I brought this up to CE and they mentioned that they prefer to avoid doing any plumbing services for this reason and they promised to "make this right" by repairing the base of the cabinets. A few days later, CE sent out a technician, who was shocked at the level of damage, implying that there must be some other leak at the shutoff valves to have caused that much damage. He said we needed to cut out the base, repair the leak, and dry everything out before they could repair it. Prior to this, we had had a plumber reconnect the new sink and he didn't mention any such leak at the shutoff valves. Because of this, I was fairly confident the source of the water was the open, previously uncontained supply line, but I decided I would tear out the cabinet base as they suggested just to be sure, buying about $100 in tools to do so. As expected, the surface below the base of the cabinets was dry and there was no leak at the shutoff valves. This confirmed the source of the water was the open, previously uncontained supply line. At this point, I thought it would be prudent to get other parties involved, protecting ourselves in the case that CE didn't follow through. Home Depot initiated a claim, which went to their third party claims group, Sedgwick. I gave them a summary with pictures of the damage. CE responded that they were notified of a claim, and they needed to respond to this before any other action. Unsurprisingly, cabinet Express denied the claim, stating: "when we did the install, the shut off valves were not leaking. The installer did notice that the cabinet had existing water damage. We sent a technician back on 5/27/25 to assess. This technician stated that the plumbing had an existing leak unrelated to the disconnection completed by Cabinet Express." In other words, they are claiming they decided to proceed with the install on rotted cabinets? (False, as it wasn't damaged until after they came). Frustratingly, Sedgwick (Home Depot's third party claim organization, stated the following: "It appears that the installer is denying your claim citing the reason for the leak was not related to the installation. Please note that at this time we are inclined to agree with them based on the photos they provided and based on their statements that when they inspected, the leak was coming from the pipe and was not related to their disconnect. Unfortunately at this time we cannot provide any coverage for the interior damages. If you have any proofs to show the service provider that they were at fault for the damages, please respond to their email where they sent you this letter and you can discuss/dispute the denial with them directly." I responded to each party, cleatly pointing out the false statements in the denial letter, to which I received no response. The most ridiculous part is the "photos" Sedgwick mentioned was a photo taken by me (post damage). CE presented my photo of the damage to Sedgwick, falsely asserting that it was a photo they had taken prior to the install. The third party (Sedgwick) was completely trivial in this case, as they only referred me to deal directly with CE; and they were in no way neutral or unbiased in their assessment. A further indication of CE's negligence is that they disposed of necessary parts to our garbage disposal when they removed the old sink. CE never acknowledged nor responded to this either.
