To explain, I ordered a blue raspberry/cherry shaved ice and it was delicious. It was sweet, flavorful, and cold. This was simply good shaved ice. After that, I tried the soft vanilla ice cream and it was great. To elaborate, the ice cream was creamy, sweet, and had excellent flavor. It was some of the better soft ice cream that I've had. If you like shaved ice, you will love this cute place (with its tropical vibe) conveniently located in Fenwick. I've always noticed lines of people there--so I knew it must be good. There are a variety of flavors, and I chose from the 3 or 4 sugar free varieties. (Sugar free root beer!) Ofcourse, I still had to add the marshmallow fluff-type topping (which was delicious)! The ambience is tropical...love the twinkly lights, palm-like trees and overall vibe. And the place is dog friendly--since they have a fun dog treat option. The only suggestion that I have would be to have more picnic tables...and if it rains, you'll be eating your ice in the car. Plenty of parking, too, which is always a plus at the beach. Finally shopped by this little shaved ice shop that I see on the side of the road all of the time! There was no line just before sunset but later I saw a longer line when driving by a little later. It's a cute set up with a couple games (corn hole and a ring game) and picnic tables. The shaved ice was delicious and the large size appropriately named "mondo". Talk about a hidden gem of Fenwick Island/Ocean City! We were debating what we wanted to do this evening, and we decided to walk over to Fenwick Ice Co, because we've seen the colorful, lit up VW bus from Route 54 as we drive by. All I can say is WOW. The portion size of shaved ice is incredible - and the flavors are great, not to mention there are a ton of flavor options. They can give you light, normal, or heavy syrup if you ask, pending what you prefer, and they were kind enough to put the mini sized portion in a big bowl for us to help limit the mess our kids made. The music adds to the atmosphere, and there's seating and even a round or three of cornhole playing in the background while you eat your ice. They also have soft serve if that's more your preference. It's super affordable too. I don't say this about just any shaved ice place, but this is probably hands down the most incredible frozen experience my mouth has experienced in the entirety of my life. We found this place but simply seeing the bright lights passing by on the side of the road the other night and knew we had to stop by. They had nice island music playing, a fun crowd, very clean set up and great staff! So great that we ended up coming here two night in a row! This was my first time vacationing in Ocean City/Fenwick, and found this place driving past to our air bnb. We saw it in the day time, and just thought it was a decoration on someone's front yard. And the main event, the ice cream and snow cones! I have to say best ice cream and snow cones we've ever had! The pricing was good, and the portion size was humongous! The ice was delicious! There was a long line but the team was very efficient. My only complaint is the seating space is absolutely infested with mosquitos. My daughter and husband got about 20 bites a piece. It was so uncomfortable that we just left. The spot was so nice and we're not ones to sweat the small stuff.
