They don't reply to phone or email I wouldn't bother with them and look to a place that will actually reply

I like the store for mountain biking gear. But here's the deal - they don't really carry youth or…read morelittle kid helmets (5 year old size), nor does any other stores in the area, but their website does. So I ordered 4 to try on. This is for a four year old who has never worn a full face helmet, we needed to try a few. We went into the store and tried them when they came in, kept one and returned the others. We also bought one pair of gloves and one goggles, which we kept. I got reprimanded and warned for returning too many! Ok, I tried to do this the best way I could but if you're not going to carry that size in the store, this is how it has to work.i don't know what to say. I won't be using them again because, well, I've been warned. To the depths of the internet I go.

This year I bought my first motorcycle, it's a 49cc Honda Ruckus (a moped). I went here to find a…read moresafe helmet in stock and that fits well. I started at the south county store, they had a whole wall all the way up with helmets. The sales staff helped me choose a better helmet than what I had quickly researched beforehand. They didn't have the specific color I liked in stock so I went to the St. Charles store that day too, who had the other color in stock. Both stores were very nice stores, I bought something at each. Assuming this is a multi city chain it's on par with like a REI but for motorcycles. (Compliment!) Only feedback I would give the stores, is that my trips were pricey, customers might want to check competitor prices as they go and ask if the store will match.

I needed new tires on my scooter and didn't really know who offered that service. I called a…read morespecialty scooter shop who told me they could "probably do it but most times they end up taking the scooters to Donelson's for tire balancing". So I cut out the middle person and called Donelson's directly. They let me know they had been crazy busy but would order my tires and once they were in I could drop the scooter off and they would "work it in" to get the tires done. This may seem odd but some other places I called wanted me to drop my scooter off that day and let it sit til they could get to it - could be 4-6 weeks they said. Donelson told me it's prob be a week or so once the tires were in. They ordered the tires, called me and let me know. I dropped the scooter off and they had the replacement done in about 2 days. There was a snafu with the wrong tires being ordered and them needing to put a different set on (my fault as I provided the tire size). Even with that taking place it still only took them 2 days. I had paid in advance for the tires and we had to rework the bill due to the tire swapout, but even that was handled with grace and I paid the difference. They also performed an inspection for me while they had my scooter. Overall nice experience - especially compared to the run around I got from some other places when calling around. Reason I took off 1 star is noone there knows anything outside of their specific dept. So on 1 call they transferred me multiple times - from parts to inquire about the tires, then to service to find out how much service cost, then back to parts because I asked another tire related question, then back to service to talk about the inspection. It'd be nice if they were aware enough of each area to speak to it.

Highly recommend for repairs and products!

I'm not sure where to even start!…read more I went to Tim Surdyke's looking to purchase my 1st Harley and man did they not disappoint! From day 1 Chris was a Rockstar! He was patient with me even when I kept changing my mind on the bike I wanted. Finally we pulled the trigger on a 2026 Low Rider ST. Buying this bike from Chris felt like I was making a purchase from my best friend. He made the purchase feel personal and yet seamless before, during and even after the sell! Then we have Joe. Joe sat with me on multiple occasions for hours building this bike out from front to back! From exhaust, to Risers, seat and even the SE Stage III kit! He knew what he was talking about and he shared his knowledge and personal experiences with me as well. Couldn't be happier with all the options he helped me pick out. That leads us to the behind the scenes crew, the guys who built this bike. Chad and his guys assembled and absolute Beast of a bike! Chad's knowledge and skills really shines through on this build. Not only did he bring this bike to life, the man did so in record time! He was the final piece of this amazing puzzle and I couldn't be more grateful. I can't say enough about this whole team. I never felt like I was in a "Sales" place. I felt like I was in a building surround by friends who really wanted to make my dream come true for me and they did just that and more. Thank you all again and thank you for welcoming my Family and I to the Tim Surdyke Family!

The motorcycle was proudly advertised for $7,499,…read morewhich seemed like a fair deal... until the grand finale of the sales magic show, where poof! the price suddenly transformed into $9,946. That's quite a trick fee--almost $2,500 in "surprise!" charges. I half expected a magician to come out from the back with a top hat and announce, "For our next illusion, we'll make your money disappear!" If you enjoy playing financial roulette, guessing what the real price might be, or just love the thrill of disappointment, this is the place for you. Otherwise, save yourself the headache and find a dealership where the numbers on the ad actually mean something.

It's riding like polished steel now. Not only did they fix it but it was almost closing time and they got me in and even stayed late. They gave a military discount and asked about my military service rather than just the "thank you for your service" platitude. Definitely hit them up if you need anything in STL.

Disappointing Experience with Gateway BMW Ducati Service Department…read more I recently purchased a used Ducati and wanted to get it fully serviced, inspected, and ready to ride. I contacted Gateway BMW Ducati because I expected a Ducati dealership to be the best place to perform the work. On Thursday, July 23, I called the service department and left a voicemail. Their recording said calls would be returned within 24 hours. Mine never was. After hearing nothing, I drove to the dealership on Saturday, July 26, where I spoke with a service advisor named Peter. I specifically requested a quote for a Missouri state inspection, an oil change, front and rear Pirelli Diablo Corsa IV tires, and timing belt replacement. He said they were busy, asked me to wait, and after about an hour asked for my email address, saying he would send the estimate later that day. When the quote arrived, it included several services I had never requested, which significantly increased the price. I immediately replied and asked for a revised quote containing only the items I had originally requested, explaining that I was comparing prices with another Ducati dealer. That was the last communication I received. No one returned my original voicemail, no one responded to my follow-up email, and I never received the revised quote I requested. It's disappointing that getting a simple estimate required multiple attempts and still wasn't completed. I'm giving Gateway BMW Ducati 2 stars instead of 1 because everyone I interacted with was polite and courteous in person. Unfortunately, courtesy alone doesn't make up for poor communication and the complete lack of follow-up. Based on my experience, communication and customer service fell well below what I would expect from an authorized Ducati dealership, and I ultimately took my business elsewhere.
