If a child does not respect an adult the child will let people know. Well, this teacher decided it was a good idea to be-little my kid in a class dojo app. Which the other parents, of the other kids, can see the videos. So naturally, the parents started to complain. My kid was specifically targeted to show how she would miss behave and made and example of to the other students. (If thats not a lawsuit idk what is but thats another story.) Even though I specifically said call me if you need my help and gave my personal phone number. I would open the app and sure enough. My kid was miss behaving. Only a handful of times do I remember being a positive post. Mind you this is a 5yr old. A 5 yr old who knows nothing about school but shes expected to know from the get-go. A 5yr old whom just started kindergarten. Kinder! It suppose to be fun and do arts and crafts as well as see baby chicks hatch.... but there was none of that. For a mom, its hard enough to send your kid to school much less dealing with incompetence. So, I pulled her out. It was the best decision I ever made. Now she goes to a charter school and is reading on her own and writing on her own. Shes also doing a bit of addition and subtraction. As well as learning spanish on the side. Yet, shes still a kid and not a robot. The school system is not like it was before and the teachers union is ruineing everything. Its not about the kids anymore but the cushy paying job. If teacher would be held accountable for the students grades things would be a lot different.

I had two children enrolled at Camelia Elementary from preschool through 5th grade, and we could not have asked for a better experience. My children loved their teachers, who were exceptional, dedicated, and caring. The school provided a safe and welcoming environment where both of my children experienced tremendous academic and social growth. I especially appreciated the intervention and after-school programs that provided additional support in subjects such as math and English. The school also offered a robotics after-school class, which gave students an opportunity to explore learning in a fun and engaging way. My children did exceptionally well at Camelia Elementary, and throughout their years there, I never had any issues with the teachers or staff. I was always grateful for the communication, support, and dedication they showed toward their students. One of the most memorable experiences for my children was having the opportunity to go on field trips to San Francisco and Sacramento. These experiences created wonderful memories for them, and we are especially thankful to the teachers who worked hard to make these opportunities possible. If my children had one small complaint, it would probably be about the cafeteria food--not every meal was their favorite! However, following the cafeteria menu each week allowed me to prepare an extra lunch on days when I knew they might not enjoy the meal being served. This helped ensure they had something they liked and stayed full throughout the school day. Overall, our experience at Camelia Elementary was truly wonderful. We are incredibly grateful to the teachers, staff, and entire school community for helping our children grow academically, socially, and personally. Camelia Elementary will always hold a special place in our family's hearts, and we will forever appreciate the positive foundation it provided for our children. Droping off and picking up times do get hectic, but thats expected at every school. It if you give yourself time and patience it makes the parking experience a bit better.

Thankful for all the teachers she had especially Mr.Hughes he has always been such an amazing teacher with so much patience and such a great vibe and environment for the kids. Ms.Christopher retired but always remembered my baby and me since we both had her for a teacher hope she has a wonderful retirement. Thank you to Ms.Garrison for helping with so much and protecting our children. wish I cannot you back with a vacation and peace of mind with this pandemic. One thing I do suggest be as much involved with the school and your child while attending any school that is one thing I wish I did overall. The school is safe and secure and strict which is what our children need. A lot of programs to join and activities provided.

The staff, teachers, students, parents, and PTA Board members at the school are like one big family. They strive to make the school a great learning environment for the students. The new Principal (Mr. Dargahi) and the previous Principal (Mrs. Imperiale) are very professional and friendly. They try to provide parents with as much information about their students' progress and any campus activities. The Parent Center Rep (Liliana) is such an asset. She is constantly trying to connect parents, teachers, staff, and the PTA together, so that everyone works together. I am proud to have had the privileged to send my kids to this California Distinguished School and work along side so many great parents, teachers, and staff!
