From micromanagement and lack of integrity to extreme rudeness in the administration office, they fail in multiple areas. They neglect the school, as demonstrated when a tree branch nearly harmed some kids, and allow parents to drive recklessly in the mornings. Meanwhile, gatekeepers keep children waiting at the gate for 10 minutes if they're just one minute late. This school is a complete mess.

My kid didn't even last 4 months there. She is a handful but like any kid: you speak to them like…read morean adult and make them aware of consequences eventually the child will listen. If a child does not respect an adult the child will let people know. Well, this teacher decided it was a good idea to be-little my kid in a class dojo app. Which the other parents, of the other kids, can see the videos. So naturally, the parents started to complain. My kid was specifically targeted to show how she would miss behave and made and example of to the other students. (If thats not a lawsuit idk what is but thats another story.) Even though I specifically said call me if you need my help and gave my personal phone number. I would open the app and sure enough. My kid was miss behaving. Only a handful of times do I remember being a positive post. Mind you this is a 5yr old. A 5 yr old who knows nothing about school but shes expected to know from the get-go. A 5yr old whom just started kindergarten. Kinder! It suppose to be fun and do arts and crafts as well as see baby chicks hatch.... but there was none of that. For a mom, its hard enough to send your kid to school much less dealing with incompetence. So, I pulled her out. It was the best decision I ever made. Now she goes to a charter school and is reading on her own and writing on her own. Shes also doing a bit of addition and subtraction. As well as learning spanish on the side. Yet, shes still a kid and not a robot. The school system is not like it was before and the teachers union is ruineing everything. Its not about the kids anymore but the cushy paying job. If teacher would be held accountable for the students grades things would be a lot different.

A person like this should not be in charge of a school. The teachers here are ok we've had a couple my kids were pretty happy with. The after school program coaches have been kind to my kids. Overall, the only reason my kids are here is because it's our home school.

We have 3 kids currently attending VCS and will hopefully be adding our twins to the roster this…read moreyear. Our children are thriving at Village; academically, emotionally, and spiritually. All of our kids love the campus and the teachers. The curriculum is challenging but the school is always finding new ways to make learning fun. VCS encourage family unity and there are many social events for families. We feel like VCS is our second home and we have made many friends there, friends that we actually like to hang out with outside of school. As a parent I am always worried if the curriculum isn't challenging enough so when other kids come to Village I ask the parents if their children find the work too easy or more challenging. I have yet to hear of one parent tell me it is easier than their previous school. The teachers and staff alike truly care about these kids and love God. It is evident the moment you set foot on campus. VCS promotes college at an early age and will guide your children through the entire process and hold their hand every step of the way. They focus on what the children like and what they want to study. VCS is a wonderful school and we are so thankful our children have the opportunity to attend.

Thank you to Ms.Garrison for helping with so much and protecting our children. wish I cannot you back with a vacation and peace of mind with this pandemic. The staff, teachers, students, parents, and PTA Board members at the school are like one big family. They strive to make the school a great learning environment for the students. The new Principal (Mr. Dargahi) and the previous Principal (Mrs. Imperiale) are very professional and friendly. They try to provide parents with as much information about their students' progress and any campus activities. The Parent Center Rep (Liliana) is such an asset. She is constantly trying to connect parents, teachers, staff, and the PTA together, so that everyone works together. I am proud to have had the privileged to send my kids to this California Distinguished School and work along side so many great parents, teachers, and staff!
