Installed a beautiful fence in 2013. It's been complimented a lot. Forward to February 2024 with the atmospheric river and a limb came down through it. definitely not a "parts" warranty issue - and need to get it fixed asap. Eleven years ago is a while so had to google them... totally recognized the cute horse logo and they are listed in several sources as still be in San Martin. Sent email; no response. Called; no response. Called again - was told that they no longer do business in this area and would get back in touch. Requested an emailed pic - sent. No response. Left voice (call #3). Sent follow up email (email #3). Left voicemail #4 asking for a referral to another service provider or someone who could assist. Martin called back. Instead of a 3 minute long conversation stating that (1) they no longer do service here, and (2) "here" are certified installers or the manufactures contact info - he was argumentative. In the 11 minute call he blamed Covid and the Governor, he stated that I could just go get it from Home Depot and install it, that he has no knowledge of installers in the area... everything that he could NOT do. I finally got him to agree to find the specs (it was custom in '13, see the pic with the vertical slats) and to provide at least one phone number so that I can find someone with the tools and skills to do it. Waiting... This company is a joke, they have false advertising, and the owner is adversarial - would give 0 stars if possible. read more

This company is a joke and false to their mission statement on the Fence-World.com website. I've had ongoing issues with the double gates they built and when they come out and attempt to address the problem they just put a band aid on the issues. Their solution is to put more holes in the panels and move brackets around, result...Unevenness, cracking, post are not level, not stable, and screws are popping out to name a few concerns. Employee rep comes out, takes a video to support his concerns with the workmanship and agrees the work performed was done incorrectly and should be corrected. Office rep is unprofessional and false to her word and only wants to be heard and not fully listen to customer concerns and when she hears something she doesn't like she chooses to hang up on you! Such unprofessionalism. Then you get excuse after excuse and no commitment to fixing the ongoing issues from the owner. I will never use the company again! read more

I received quotes from multiple fencing companies for my chain link and fence works beat them all. Their normal pricing beat everyone I got a quote from. I didn't have to haggle or anything. I would not recommend this fencing company to anybody ! They are shady and will just tell you what you want to hear. Full of broken promises. I am completely unsatisfied with their performance. Warning..Do not pay them in full because you will have to keep nagging at them to finish, and they will start new jobs before they finish the one they started! Unprofessional. read more

He was very patient and professional with my questions and the workers also took care to install it exactly as I wanted. Marteen was also able to accommodate some special requests for the locks. Update to my earlier review. After speaking with George and having him come back to look at the installation everything has been corrected. Everyone has bad days, but the company did take the neccessary steps to make the situation right. Our fence was removed and redone as we requested. It looks awesome! And functions great! Due to an accident, we needed to have our chain link fence and double gate replaced. We called Fence-World for an estimate. Martin came out to give a free and thorough estimate. We chose to have this emailed to us so we could send it on to insurance co. The invoice was very detailed and he attached an aerial photo/diagram indicating location of damage and measurements. This was very helpful. When we gave the okay, we had a date and time for a crew to come start working. Holly called prior to the appt to see if they could start earlier. They showed up didn't waste any time. The team came equipped, worked together well, and did their job expeditiously. They had to do some grading with a bobcat as the ground was uneven and the fencing had been lifted out of the ground by the accident. The cement poles were set and the team would be back another day. They came back the second day and finished the job. We are very satisfied with the finished job. Holly, in the office, was informative, a good communicator. and very friendly. We paid in full after the job was completed and would highly recommend Martin's team! Thank you! read more

I had to reach out twice to see if they were going to do the work said they had me schedule a certain day didnt hear anything. On the day they were going to start work nothing. Giving 1 star because there is no 0 to give. Contacted them on a Friday and they actually answered the phone, told me to send pictures of the fence repair, sent and called them back in an hour and they said they would send a quote to my email, of course it never arrived. Called and texted them asking if they had sent the quote, we heard nothing until I called back on Monday, Brianna said she would send the quote right now. It never arrived, called back and no answer. Texted and asked if she could just send the estimate by text message, she did an hour later but said until a tech came out to analyze the price was subject to change. I texted back and asked how soon can a tech come out, never heard from her again until 4 days later when she text and asked if I was available for the repair the following day...what a joke and sorry I ever wasted my time on them. Worst company to ever do business with they called me gave me an estimate right away my job was supposed to be done on Wednesday they called me and said that they would be there Thursday morning between 8 and 10 they showed up at 12 o'clock Thursday .They were supposed to show up Friday to finish the two day job in the morning and they came at 12 o'clock again.they broke a gas line and try to charge us for it when the foreman said it was a rookie mistake and they're trying to charge us for their mistake.When they showed up late on both days no one bothered to call and let us know that they were running late we were told that they were going to start in the morning time between 8 and 10 on both days never did they show up on time. Or give us a courtesy call. I would not recommend this company. Bad communication amongst everyone. read more

Very poor customer service! They couldn't even keep an appointment. I waited for over an hour for the guy to show. I ended up calling the office. They told me he was running late and that they were going to have to reschedule. If they would of called ahead of time I would have completely understood. Instead I waited for nothing. Called them on a Wednesday to get an estimate they said the soonest they could get to me was the following Mondday between 4:30-5:30pm which I accepted. The day of the appointment I called at 12:46pm to confirm they were still coming at the scheduled time which the lady confirmed. My sister drove to my mom's house which is about 30 minutes away to wait on them and they never showed up. She called at 5:40pm and now answer. At 6:15pm I get a phone call saying he was stuck on a job but he could head over....they delayed our project by 6 days. Prepare to have your time wasted. read more

I have had a great experience with Fence World. I had 6 gates put in and they turned out to be of good quality with great pricing. My gates were put in 3 years ago and one has since needed a minor adjustment and Martin, the owner, was very responsive and within a few days had someone on site. I had Fence World install several hundred feet of both solid and picket fencing around my backyard and to enclose the pool area. They came back after a few months to adjust the gates after some settling of the ground after landscaping. I have been very pleased with the work and their prices were quite competitive. About 2 years after they did their initial install at my house I had them enclose my mother's backyard. Her roses really standout against the white picket fence...more nicer than the previous chainlink. Unlike other contractors that have done work at my home these guys cleaned up after themselves. My parents and I saw this company at the Home and Garden show, where we gave their information to the gentleman there so that he could come to their home and give them a quote on doing fencing for their backyard. The gentleman said he would be contacting them the next week to set up an appointment. Two weeks later and they have yet to receive a phone call. I'm not sure why you would be at an event to promote your business when you are apparently not prepared to follow up on your promises. read more

I am somewhat surprised and confused by the current reviews. We are completely happy with the work of Fence-World. We initially had a security/privacy vinyl fence installed between our house and the neighbor. Martin came to our home on the appointment day and time to give us an estimate and with sample material. The cost was fair and very competitive with the large home improvement stores in our area. Seth and Brian did the job and were extremely professional and efficient, they took GREAT PRIDE in their job and the finished product showed that. We then opted to have a wind break around our patio replaced with a vinyl one. Again Seth and Brian were here to do the job. Again we are very happy and again Seth and Brian did a great job. We had the design of the wind break revamped so that it is not a straight line but is angled, and that did not phase either Seth or Brian in the least. The finished job completely changed the look of our back of the house. Again, Martin gave us a great estimate even though we opted for a color/grain that is not often used and needed to be a special order. I would recommend Fence-World to all. The vinyl quality far outshines what we could have purchased on our own and the professional workmanship was outstanding. read more

I had hoped for the best when contacting this company. Upon calling, the women that answered my calls were both extremely friendly. I have nothing bad against their friendliness or customer service. My review is in regards to Maarten, the owner and person who comes out to take measurements and prepare estimates. I made my initial contact in early July and was scheduled for an estimate quicky. Unfortunately during Maarten's time here he pushed for selling his product rather than what we were looking for (the company advertises installation services as well). Once he realized we were determined to have the product we wanted not what he pushed for, his attitude changed. He took his measurements, said he would get back with us in a few days with an estimate for services, and left. We didnt hear back from him for a few weeks where I decided to reach out and give him a call instead. When he picked up my call he immediately wrote me off and said he would call me back within the hour. I never heard back again. It wasn't until this past week (4 months later), that I was contacted by his customer service staff asking if I was still interested. Obviously not considering no one contacted me or gave me an estimate...in addition to the unprofessional demeanor of the owner. Best of luck to the company but I'll take my services elsewhere. read more
